>new 52
>bad
That's just a meme

I'm waiting for that top to fall off.

>always like RHATO

>MFW it survived she's multiple events and relaunches and is still going strong

I actually loved this and the teamup with all the other lanterns. I think the lantern shit in DC is lowkey the most interesting stuff.
So many series do combat poorly (its common in manga too), where every panel in a fight scene is just an action pose where there's barely a fluid chain of movement. And to compensate for the lack of flow, they just overlay dialogue and exposition which they REALLY should have got over and done with before characters start exchanging blows. With lanterns, their powers are directly controlled by their feelings, you practically remove the problem all together

Axel Braun has *nothing* on Lobdell's dialog, senpai.

That was the worst issue of the worst book of the nu52 and you are implying it's good.

Where did DAT ASS in the first panel disappear to in the last panel?? It's like she dropped 20lbs in the space of a page ...

>I thought new 52 was supposed to be bad?

Did they intentionally make it look like Roy only had one arm on that first panel?

see this from watchmen. The time for talking is over, you get this fantastic double page spread

mein nigger you are correct

>2 million viewers
>At best only over 100,000 readers
Based on what math?

man fuck lucy

>The only version of a character has to be the one I like from one adaption

If they want to continue with this analogy kids today with TTG will go 'hey I want to see this character in older stuff' and then their beloved show version will get ignored too.

>all this thread full of people legitimately defending butchering a character for fanservice
am I on Sup Forums?

>Marz
>stripper
checks out

It made my dick hard, and I've only ever seen her in Teen Titans and now this. So as far as I know, all kinds of stuff could have happened between TT and when this comic came out.

They are idiots or newfags. Don’t listen to them. Nobody seriously like what happened to Starfire at the start of new52.

>implying Toonfire wasn’t a complete slut in her spare time

>legitimately defending
You must be new here.

Sup Forumsntrarians only really enjoy hating things; anything else is just (you) farming.

Forgot how much of a meth addict Roy looked like in that first issue

>literally pornstar figure
That's not even hot at this point.

but not muh

>If they want to continue with this analogy kids today with TTG
I mean: they're already Metal As Fuck ( or close enough for that faggot Snyder who wouldn't know actual metal if Ozzy staggered up, mistook his tiny penis for a rodent , and bit the head off it ).

>literal pontoons
Has this artist ever actually seen a breast?

The books like a cockroach it's pretty impressive.

Weak bait

>people legitimately defending butchering a character for fanservice
You mean like Palmiotti/Conner Power Girl? Because that's what happened to her but changes are only bad when they don't please muh dick

Based on actual ratings and stats? Unless you're Batman, Superman, or Spider-Man, comics do not sell well at all. Hell, a comic that even reaches 100,000 would be considered a miracle.

I'm sure he doesn't. He just use some fake silicone spheres for reference.

Lucy can't read.

Tone down your soy consumption, sweeties.

Why does Bendis have a mustache

Stay mad virgin wanker.

I'm personally conflicted about Ravens depiction in the New 52. On one hand she looks more like a swimsuit model than Raven, on the other hand she looks like a hot swinsuit model.

Isn’t that rebirth? Raven’s custome in new 52 was a weird feather helmet that came over her eyes

This is her outside the costume.

This was considered sexist and the worst thing ever by the media (especially Comics Alliance)

was it really that big of a deal? I just started reading it on a whim and I'm only on issue 4 and I love it. I thought female sexual liberation was pro feminist too

wtf
does that mean BB can turn into a turtle and outlive everyone he knows

shame this girl was stupidly killed by joker later.

>was it really that big of a deal?
I'm still surprised an assassin in spray on tan didn't try to assassinate Lobdell.

Pretty sure she survived but they stopped dating because of the danger or something.

>was it really that big of a deal?
You. Have. No. Idea.
was just a small drop in a sea of media backlash. It was literally the slut heard around the world. Week after week there were articles upon articles on the subject. It was a turning point for the media and many need culture websites went full PC. It lead to more SJW articles on other things. It helped pave the way for stuff like ___# of days DC screwed up. It was considered worse than the Holocaust.

I guess that explains why Marvel is what it is today

Comic Alliance was hit the worst. Pre-Slutfire they were tolerable, post? The most sufferable website ever.

>mfw Frankie Raye Nova was brainwashed and stripping in a space-strip club in 90's Silver Surfer comics written by Ron Mars.

Most of the rage has been lost due to CBR rebooting and Twitter and Tumblr being shit to search. But vast parts of the internet became convinced DC was on a crusade against women or something. There were militant campaigns for Stephanie Brown, Gail Simone was fired then rehired due to internet rage. It was weird.
>wtfdccomics.wordpress.com/2011/10/20/wtf-dc-starfire/

So apparently people we're pissed off at catwoman #1 too? Is it because she fucked Batman? For fuck sake, what is wrong with them? This is far more consistent in her character than Iceman suddenly turning gay

>be me
>Marvelfag since I could read
>read (mostly) only Marvel for 90's and 00's
>2010 Marvel started going downhill in quality leading to SJW Marvel
>DC reboot in 2011
>Jump to DC for new start
>Love it, read older DC stuff I missed for past 7 years
>DCfag now

Oh yeah that was a good one. I think it's that controversy that lead to a bunch of people drawing men in the revealing female costumes to highlight sexism. Naturally Sup Forums just got a massive boner.

Rapist!

>muh male gayze
>muh objectification

New universe and she was still the same person just angrier better then the doormat she was befor

You thought wrong.

>kids today with TTG will go 'hey I want to see this character in older stuff'
Nothing wrong with this Tbh. TTG Starfire is top tier

muh dick

Why didn't Lucy just read the comic that was based on the Teen Titans cartoon?
Or, you know, the Teen Titans comic book.

>Starfire
>Butchered character
You're thinking of the Starfire comic that came AFTER.
The one that devolved her back to "lol what is THIS earth item. I don't know despite being here for years."

No, outlaws was the comic where she was a respected badass spaceship captain.

I unironically love that helmet and costume design.
It's like a good Dark Souls outfit.

Blue is so much better than red
Has nightwing changed back?

>kids today with TTG will go 'hey I want to see this character in older stuff'
On what basis exactly?

The 2003 cartoon really fucked up Starfire. What a fucking cancer

Many of the kids I've talked to never knew that there was an original cartoon. All they know about is TTG.

Well that’s mostly because The original TT ended like a decade ago. Whos to say they’d want to read comics starfire just because of TTG though?

You could ask the same thing about the person in the comic wanting to read the comics Starfire. I'm only operating on the comic's logic, not what people would do in reality.

How long until TTG takes over the comics?

She was cute and agreeable in that mini. She was a complete bitch in Outlaws.

lol

Ok, gotcha, my mistake

I like mustard drinking Starfire and Slutfire equally. I am a cisgendered white male though.

Rocafort is from Puerto Rico so I am sure he has

I still love that costume no matter what anyone says
Yes almost two years ago

Man I remember when Sup Forums hated Teen Titans because it was different from the Marv Wolfman run.

Wrong.

It was. Now I'm not so sure

Honestly this girl is fucking ugly.

Wow I liked that comic, it explains partially why girls dislike the comics in general.

I'm glad this comic exists. The angry tears of non-readers gives me life.

Good to know you didn't read RHATO at all beyond the first issue.

She is newbie in the world of the comic and she probably don't understand that there is many version of the same characters but at the same time it's understandable why she would not want read another comic after that, truth be say the many alternative versions make the world of the comics less attractive to the newbies.

The first thing cartoon Starfire did when she came to earth was to kiss some random guy he met.

Suck it up, Lucy.

I'm considering reading the following but I have no idea how any of these books from New 52 are but they pique my interest: Animal Man, Swamp Thing, Shazam, Aqua Man, Sinestro, Green Lantern, and Green Arrow.

Lobdell is a hack.

Well this female sexual liberation though, this is just plain objectifying. The fact that you can't tell the difference speaks volume on the type of people who defend this.

>outlaws was the comic where she was a respected badass spaceship captain.
That's not her characterzation though, hell it's not even a character at all.

>she was still the same person
No she wasn't. Starfire is not cold and emotionless badass

Palmotti/Grey didn't butcher power girl's character.

He is one of the reasons I quit reading the X-men back in the mid 90s.

Those are all good except the first three volumes of Green Arrow are meh.

Red hood is the only good book in the Batline
so Lobdell > King

Badass spacecaptains aren't a character, but an issue of her in a bikini is?

Sexual revolution isn't about women able to fuck anybody they want; it's about women doesn't have to fuck those they don't want.

For argument's sake, yes, exactly.
Starfire is closer to a beach thot than a badass space captain and people like her that way.

>Red Thot Outlaws

and the hips are small too

>People like her that way
Years of Slutfire memes and bad reviews from nonreaders say different.

Same

>Sup Forums is so infested with Sup Forumstrash and kids going full right-wing to spite their parents that they now like this iteration of starfire of the teen titans version
