Voltron five season

What are you guys looking forward to next season?

Stupidly huge power creep

I doubt it'll be noticeable from what s4 gave us.

>OG Shiro's return and the REEEEEEEEE it will cause
>Allura's mother's flashback looks cool
>Lotor being a more competent and morally grey Starscream
>Keith being a slut
>Lance winning the Romellebowl

The production codes for the stills have been capped, if /vld/ is interested.

...

...

>Allura's mother'
allura's mom has massive hangers, this is probably from the dnd episode

I want Lance and Olia to bang, or at least hold hands or something

So if the DnD episode is in this batch, it's most likely the fifth episode and has BoM Keith as a B plot, since all the other episodes have the paladins involved in more action/plot oriented stuff.

Those could just be big baby-feeding titties. Cartoons tend to have moms become curvy after having a kid.

It's weird how I don't feel hyped for it anymore. It kinda sucked for the last few seasons.

To each their own. I thought the last two were better than the first two.

I think it was the split. I think i'd prefer a lot of content less often than a little bit of content more frequently.

We've only seen her once so there's zero point of comparison, which would make it a stupid choice for the character designers to randomly deflate her only defining feature. It's not her in any case.

I feel the total opposite, I've been enjoying the show a lot more since S3. I found S2 to be a snorefest outside of Space Mall and the last few episodes, and the next season introduced some interesting things.

yeah it seems like this show was written overall for the binge format, so watching "live" in bits and pieces is shitty. I wouldn't mind the smaller bits of content if they were actually more frequent, instead of 6 month hiatuses

>the team fucking around in dnd while Keith dodges comically insane death traps IRL

Sounds funny. A starbase AI isn't as creative with the same parts as a human, so the more develish the group gets, the better traps the AI has to throw at Keith.
"That makes no sense at all."
"And yet it works."

Change of plans, Bex won't be able to make it to ECC so Jeremy will fill in for her. It's going to be Josh, Jeremy, Lauren, Joaquim, and the character designer at the panel.

Sounds like a fun panel. It's going to be kinda bizarre getting the episodes dropped mere hours after the panel, there will hardly be any time for speculah.

Someone redpill me on this show. I want to watch it, but I have so many times dropped shows that "look interesting".

Don't worry, we'll have plenty of time to discuss whatever they'll show at the panel. The whole thing looks to end at 4:30, and that gives us 9 hours for speculating, reassessing theories and S5 bingo building. Fun times ahead of us.

A lite version of Avatar the last air bender, and mass effect, fun action show, you're guaranteed to have a favorite character, one of the best looking 2D animating shows on Netflix.

it's very much in the vein of saturday morning action cartoons, and like most pilot episodes VLD's isn't super representative of the rest of the show. 3 episode tests works here as well as anywhere, if you don't find anything compelling after that feel free to drop it

watch episode one right now

Alright anons, I'm giving it a shot
I'm guessing skip all the bullshit and watch Legendary Defender? I'm not missing anything important if I do this, right?
Also I don't have Netflix. Where can I watch it

Yeah, seasons three and four were way weaker than one and two. I'm still hype about Haggar being explored as a character and the fact that Sendak could be back.

Legendary Defender is a reboot to Defender of the universe, you're fine. I use watchcartoononline whenever I cancel my Netflix, Voltron is there.

Enjoy user, let us know your experience.

kimcartoon, or download a torrent.

Looking forward to it!

Those two stills of the lions fighting look awesome. Wonder if the space combat will look better this season?

So when do we start on the bingo chart?

>like most pilot episodes VLD's isn't super representative of the rest of the show.
Yeah, because the pilot's actually good.

Next Wednesday, it was going to be today but an user yesterday brought up how in the last bingo the interviews and trailer nulled a lot of the bingo spaces.

Be happy user, they brought the fart jokes back last season

>tfw had a dream last night about white-haired purple Keith coming true
I hope anything but that happens.

Why don't you like Spacedrow Keith?

rest easy, user. Keith will never change forms.

Alright, so I watched Episodes 1-3/The Rise of Voltron (The Pilot)

I'm guessing the pacing gets better throughout the show? Having it all crammed into an hour kinda felt rushed in some segments and through the progression of the story, somethings just felt way too convenient without any explanation whatsoever. But I'm just going to blame this on the pilot, which I was unfortunately finding myself just waiting out the clock and waiting for it to be over.

There were some funny moments, and I definitely feel some ATLA vibes, but I definitely don't find any of Team Voltron to be my favorite -so far-. I do like Allura+Coran. They were the highlight characters for me.

Now this is going to be a doozy, but I don't like the Lions. They seemed to slow down the action, and as a whole just seems so dumb. Not going to really comment on Voltron, since it only got like 30 seconds of "fight" time. I will say, Voltron itself is pretty fucking cool in the ending shots.

I do want to ask: How often does Team Voltron get to fight in just their Paladin Armor/Weapons? I found the weapons and suits to be wayyy more intriguing than the actual Lions. Do the Lion fights get any better, or do they keep the slow, soaring through the sky, shooting from a distance evasiveness with the occasional CQC style they showed in what I just watched?

Also, I am doing the 3 Episode Rule. Technically, I just watched the first three episodes and wasn't blown back by any means (I was actually getting bored). But I'm willing to give the next two episodes a chance. Do the next two episodes justify the pilot episode, or should I just call it quits here? What episode does the series get really good? Or is this just not my cup of tea?

Hope I didn't trigger anyone.

The lions get a decent amount of time because toylines, but most people agree that the on-foot battles are much more interesting and there are plenty of those. I thought they picked up the cgi space battle choreography here in the last few seasons, but they never bothered me in the first place so ymmv.

>What episode does the series get really good?
You know Sup Forums it gets good 40 hours in meme? Voltron is that. The plot gets good towards the end of S2. There are still ups and down episodes in S3 and 4 though.

The action gets way better. There's plenty of Paladins with weapons, Lions split up, and complete Voltron and it's all really good. Eventually there are whole episodes dedicated to fighting one monster and it's really cool when they come around. If that's your main problem then that will be fixed.

However if your main problem is the sort of plot/progression/storyline you've been seeing, then it largely stays the same. The show has some pacing problems (too slow, then too fast, then too slow) but it's very watchable if you want to stick with it for the action. I mostly watch it as an action cartoon and it's quite good for that.

I wouldn't go that far, but I'd say if someone can't find anything that hooks them halfway through season 1 it's probably a lost cause. The balmera arc is a pretty rough stretch.

The episodes with Sendak and the castle are some of the best of the show. The Balmera arc that follows it is pretty rough though. then it picks back up again with Crystal Venom, and stays good through the finale.

Season two starts off kinda weak, but gets better, in my opinion.

>The balmera arc
Zzzz

I agree it was slow, but good thing there was C U T E

It just looks weird and would make me cringe since I dislike Keith's special snowflake human/galra storyline.

>What are you guys looking forward to next season?

less shitty attempts at being funny. in fact I want no funny at all.

All I've watched of this show was the initial pilot "movie" but three things have bothered me enough to not watch it further.
>DUDE FART JOKES LMAO
>overly feminine beta male character
>ALARMING amount trap porn of Allura
Its like the worst parts of American writing and tumblr blended together.

>watch a pilot of a show
>immediately look up porn of the characters

i was already into porn of one of the characters before I even watched the show.

Tumblr detected

>no more fart jokes until the 4th season
Somewhere, a fetishfag was rused hard.

>not liking futallura
Pleb taste readings are off the charts.

So you're saying I don't have to worry about that going forward until the 4th season?

Stop being a faggot.

That's perfectly normal you know

Yeah, I'd say things go downhill in S3 and S4 with messy pacing and unnatural plot direction. In my personal experience the series peaked with Crystal Venom. I remember that being the point where I thought "Oh shit man, this is actually really good".

That was a good episode, in particular the Shiro/Sendak interaction. The Sendak episodes, the flashback episode,s and Space Mall are probably the strongest episodes for me overall.

The finales for seasons one and two were good too.

Patrician taste, my friend. VLD's best qualities are the lore, the character banter and the punished!Shiro bits.

the overarching plot was honestly starting to bore me until some of those S3 reveals, so I'm still really fond of the season despite Lotor's debut being a dud.

I'm not some punished Shiro fetishist, but I really liked that they treated his PTSD with proper respect in Crystal Venom.

I'm also glad they didn't overdo it afterwards.

I will admit I loved the flashback episode and Zaggar twist. And yeah, some of the battles in S2 and even S1 were kind of boring to slog through on the first watch, but enjoyable to me during future viewings. S3 and S4's awkward lion switching, nuShiro and Lotor plots still irk me and make rewatching hard, even though they kept my attention more. I guess it comes down to valuing the second watch over the first.

There was an user who said he held off from watching S3 and instead watched it when S4 prermired 2 months later. According to him, the pacing was fine and the entire season was enjoyable. I recommend holding off S5 and wait for S6 to premiere since these episodes are supposed to be enjoyed in the full binge watching package.

I was also really glad they touched on the lions' weird sentience again, making a point of mentioning how Voltron pretty much "built itself" by brain-touching the Altean engineers. which could lead to some neat places if they explore it further.

if only we had never heard of Voltron until it was completed, but it's too late to most of us to get off the ride now. the wonky half-season pacing doesn't even bother me now though, I've just resigned myself that it will feel off until I get to do a full series rewatch

>if only we had never heard of Voltron until it was completed, but it's too late to most of us to get off the ride now.
This. So much this.

They'll show 5x1 at the panel, that's plenty to screech about.

They will? That's an interesting decision since the episodes will drop hours after the con.

>>ALARMING amount trap porn of Allura

See, this is what you get for lucking for fanart without knowing the context of the show. Allura can shapeshift to an extent, so fandom has fun with her genitals.

Yes. They showed 3x1 before s3 too.

See, user, I'm like... 90% sure we weren't supposed to know the season date. The twitter image was uploaded by mistake, and they did some damage control after that. My theory is that after 5x1 they wanted to yell AND THE REST TOMORROW as a surprise. Makes more sense that way.

Alright newbie user here
Just watched 2 more episodes
I'm digging it so far, so I'm stuck here with you faggots
Fucking knew Pidge was the chick in the photo

That's what I'm least looking forward to, squinting over blurry phone pics of that S3 con trailer was bad enough

i'd like to have fun with her genitals, if you know what i mean

Now would be a good time to tell you that even if you like the show, the online fandom for the show is really really really bad. Including Sup Forums threads. Especially Sup Forums threads.

Stop now, user DONT. LOOK AT OUR REGRETS Turn now while you still can!

You poor son of a bitch.

It's perfectly fine if you just accept Klance into your heart.

Only Kwolf for me

>wolfeith
>kalteneckance
>giantcrabiro
what did they mean by this?

...

More Power Rangers fanservice, I want them to fall into the dimension portal and fucking team up with the Prehistoric Guardians. I need my fix of good power rangers fanservice and god damn it the official stuff ain't cuttin it.

Yes

>art of Keith getting fucked by a wolf
>art of Shiro getting fucked by the giant crab
>Somewhere there is art of Lance fucking Kaltnecker
It exists. I know it exists.

Kwolf is a crack pairing, Keith hasn't even met a wolf in canon yet.

Maybe the white lion will be transform itself + it’s pilot Allura into pure quintessence, upgrading Voltron to it’s “hyper quintessence” form or whatever was spoiled by the toys

And then there will be room for Keith again

(I don’t know shit about original series white lion lore)

Keith will pilot the White Lion and that'll be his connection to Allura in VLD.

>Lance fucking Kaltnecker
i think there was something is a thread a while ago of that

Please, user. They were making love.

White lion was a hallucination to trap Allura in the original, but it was also a lion in one of the comics. It definitely look like Allura harnessed some kind of power to get blue lion to look like it does in the toy poster. Who knows what they're going to do with it in this Voltron.

...

Nothing, I'm done with this trash.

See you next week

but why

>It definitely look like Allura harnessed some kind of power to get blue lion to look like it does in the toy poster

What?

Here ye.

Newbie question
Everytime the transform into Voltron
Do they keep showing the transforming scenes over and over again?

Indeed they do and you can fast forward those scenes if you want to. Nothing new happens.

I though he had Frank Face for a moment.

What the hell, we are Moonlight Butterfly now?

Zeith is love.
Zeith is life.

Can we have a thread that shirofags don’t shit up this time?
