Wow, this show is still going? I watched the first seven or so and dropped it hard. How did it get to five seasons so quickly?

First it was "wow everything's different", then it was "wow the fandom loves their gay", then things just petered out.

They decided to break the seasons up into smaller bits so that they could upload more frequently. Season 5 is technically season 3.

Threads have been back-to-back this week, it's simply the calm before the real shitposting storm.

...

ECCC is today but the panel isn't for awhile.

It's also kind of Shiro's birthday today. I wanted to make those cupcakes but today real life has decided to shit on me. So I have nothing to give but a happy birthday.

Jesus fucking Christ user, you're so pure and wholesome. Get out of this thread before you lose your innocence.

Anons are getting their beauty sleep before the premiere.

I'm guessing that's the info Lotor gave them. Also

denofgeek.com/us/tv/voltron/271318/will-there-be-a-voltron-legendary-defender-sequel

They don't know if there will be a sequel, but they'd rather do a prequel kind of thing with the story of the BoM and the rebels. Kolivan confirmed to be a former Empire office and found member of BoM.

I thought it was season 4*?

Seasons 1 and 2 were full length
3 and 4 were half length, adding up to Season 3*

So seasons 5 and 6 would be Season 4*

TECHNICALLY technically it's still season 2, since S1 and S2 were originally conceived of and written as one full season. So these 6-7 episode batches are more like quarter-seasons.

Ah, you're right, sorry.

Or maybe you're right, who fuckin knows

Dead, by porn starvation

Keith who?

That's what they get for hiring an A-List celebrity. Steven Yeun has better things to do than do voice work for a gay children's cartoon. That's probably why they wrote him off to go work with the Blade of Marmora.

Oh please, it has shit to do with Steven and you know it. He's voicing a secondary character in Trollhunters too. The sign just matches the current season.

The full episode order is like 78 isn't it? So that's about 6 seasons of 13 episodes each.

Or 3 seasons of 26 episodes.

Thank you for the reminder.

I care enough to bingewatch every time more of it comes out, but not enough to find out myself.

I'd post a happy sad reaction image but I don't have the motivation to get up and get on the computer. Those cupcakes won't get made either way since I don't currently have a working vehicle but I had started on a cheesecake before I went back to bed. So if he likes that kind of thing I might have a Bailey's cheesecake done at some point today.

I like to do things for characters I like though. One of my most hated things is not being acknowledged be people who have known me for 20+ years on my birthday.

...

D-Do you need a hug user?

so we'll end up with 10 "seasons" unless the suits get the bright idea to chop them up even further

You sound nice user.

You can watch the panels here

youtube.com/watch?v=dBOzYXIBRec

I'm okay. It's just a matter of distracting myself and putting things out of mind because it's pointless to be anxious at things you have no control over.

I like to do nice things for people and make them happy but I'm also kind of a petty bitch so take that as you will. So I guess I've become my grandmother actually.

Their eyelashes are getting bigger every season.

>615 Pacific
So 815 central and 915 eastern

I wonder if Pidge would ever consider piercings. Like even just an ear.

Sweet. The panel starts at 6 though, someone post the schedule.
>I like to do nice things for people and make them happy but I'm also kind of a petty bitch
You're wonderful.

Does anyone here have the willpower to NOT watch the first episode mere hours earlier, but in shit tier quality with a backdrop of screeching, wheezing fangirls? Cuz I fucking don't

Possibly the longest time we had to wait for a con, anons will have to decide if they want to watch the panel/bingo board, or go to sleep early in order to stay up

It's not the silliest thing DWA has ever done.
At least it's not like King Julien where anyone watching it now that it's over has to either know in advance or deduce from the cliffhanger that is seemingly abruptly resolved that you have to stop watching after season 4, watch a different show, and then continue watching season 5.

When you put it that way, I'm going to catch my Zzzzs.

>Kolivan confirmed to be a former Empire office and found member of BoM.
Didn’t those fags mention they were established THOUSANDS of years ago?

So, who is best Paladin and why is it Lance?

How long are Galra supposed to live?

Because Lotor is 10000 years old and as far as we know he doesn't huff quintessence like his parents

Yes, and? This almost confirms the theory that yellow eyes = quintensence. Not all Galra have yellow eyes, I bet the ones that do are OLD AS FUCK.

I think people just assumed they were that old

>Because Lotor is 10000 years old

We don't know his age.

We don’t even know his age yet.

>Zarkon allowing anyone but himself to have longevity
You hearing yourself?

No, it's definitely a quote.

>You hearing yourself?

Yes. His planet is gone, when it exploded a bunch of Galras must've left with it. We've seen how mixed the race is nowadays. He'll want to preserve it.

he's probably fine with haggar being immortal too, now he remembers she's his wife

Of course. Honerva gave Kova some quintessence and the cat lived for years. Although Kova's eyes weren't glowing. It depends on how much quintessence. Kolivan snuffed pure quintessence to live longer, all of the BoM did since its part of their tradition.

The planet was evacuated before Alfor had it destroyed.

>believing this
Holy kek, Zarkon and Haggar are the exception, that's part of their whole mystique. The glowy eyes "theory" is a dumb stretch that came about because autistics can't into hyperbole.

This is my opinion, don't take it to heart but the glowing yellow eyes is definitely suspect.

But the true end boss is that unspeakable evil from the other side of the portal, right?

He doesn't remember, or if he does he doesn't give a fuck.

Uh

What

user, Ulaz has yellow eyes. Kolivan has yellow eyes. Thace has yellow eyes. Have you actually watched the show?

>all of the BoM did since its part of their tradition.

This I don't agree, sorry. I think only some old original Galra did it, that's what marks the age.

TAKE ME TO SPACE HOSPITAL

that's why current ten thousand year old Cova has glowing eyes right? kek

...

...

>I think only some old original Galra did it,
That makes sense.

What does multiple Galra having glowy eyes have to do with fuck all? Zarkon and Haggar are the unnaturally long lived Galra, they are the big bads that got fucked up with void essence. Trying to stretch glowy eyes out into a shitty theory is just pure autism.

Yuh, that blob thing

because he's gonna fuck the princess

That Galra officer is a cutie.

*Galra AND Altean, so why doesn't Cova have glowy eyes as well? Bad theory was BTFO from the start.

I love this show, but I avoid fandoms for things I love now. You taught me that Sup Forums.

I never said glowy, I said yellow. And I do think it marks something, because only very specific Galra soldiers have them. It may not be the age thing, but I really doubt it means nothing.

Also consider the fact lions, too, have yellow eyes.

I wanted to thank writeanon from the last thread for writing pastebin.com/kFcpbY8J
Short but sweet and you're a cool dude!

A friend just pointed out to me that Narti had some similar design choices to Zarkon. Did we ever get another Galra similar to him in that way? I feel like we've always seen different "animals".

He's also voicing Nathan AKA Best Boy in Stretch Armstrong and the Flex Fighters.

Does that mean you're going to avoid these threads and the premiere thread user

Regris was probably also Zarkons same galra species.

What makes you say that? All we know it's that he had a tail.

But his mother was Honerva

And Honerva became Haggar when they went into the rift. Her skin turned blue and everything.

Narti also had a tail, I thought they might've been the same besides the both of them dying.

*Lotor thinks his mother is Honerva

Oh, point, I forgot about Narti's tail.

This is why lots of people believe Lotor is a test tube baby. There's something weird about his birth - notice how Coran and Allura did't know of him. If he was born before the shit went down, why hiding him?

Perhaps Lotor's version of getting grounded was being put in a stasis pod for 1000 years.

If the writerfag drops by again I have another request for you. A little lewd if you're up to it. Will be a while until I can reply back though.

Maybe Lotor was a particularly ugly baby.

Why the asteric? He's definitely half altean, that much is obvious. Unless you expect him to be Romelle's child or something.

This crossed my mind, but he has way too many plans and information. When he comes back, he's ready to strike. He doesn't seem to be a dude that just woke up.

He clearly has no memories of Honerva, otherwise he would have recognized Haggar. Like Keith he only has an assumption of who his mother was.

Maybe Haggar made a test tube baby as someone who was supposed to be a perfect apprentice instead of like the druids. She used her own DNA and Zarkon's and it turned out the kid couldn't manipulate quintessence. And then Zarkon still kept him?

we know he was exiled, doesn't make sense to thaw him out then send him to the end of the universe when you could just leave him frozen

Allura didn't recognize that Haggar was Honerva

The change in color of her skin and hair, and the extension of her face markings probably altered appearance enough that you wouldn't realize they were the same person.

>he would have recognized Haggar
Would he? Haggar is way too changed. Allura didn't notice she was altean until the hood fell. Besides, it doesn't sound like a conclusion he reached himself. He knew about Honerva's experiments and all that jazz. He grew up with the story of "this is what happened to your mommy".

He was half Altean in the original and it's obvious by his design that he'll be here too.

Something tells me that Lotor believed that his mother Honerva died a hero.

I think you mean he had that Galra characteristic. You see it in others, not just Zarkon.

If anything Regris and Narti would share the same non-Galra species.

Why would she? She never met Honerva as far as we know. Even if she had caught a glimpse of her at a young age that's no comparison to her own child, who would surely recognize her face. Add to that the fact there was no sign of Lotor in the flashback episode and it seems obvious he was created after the rift shenanigans and probably doesn't know the real circumstances of his own birth.

With an average EQ.

>He grew up with the story of "this is what happened to your mommy".
Just like my Sephiroth!

Yeah, actually, I can believe this. Haggar didn't remember the past, and some Galra officers said "the witch has (Zarkon's) ear" in an insulting way. I think everyone thinks Honerva is dead.

>implying anyone from the show's modern era even remembers Honerva
Zarkon has been a demon-possessed zombie emperor roughly 200x longer than he was a hubby, I doubt even galrachan's /his/tards give a shit

Any information on Emerald City Comic Con?

So the Alteans didn't keep visual records of the leaders of their allies? Did Allura not attend the state funeral for Honerva and Zarkon when they thought they were dead before Alfor blew up Daibazaal? What about during the war between the Galra and Altea?

It would be ridiculous for Allura to have never seen Honerva before.

Well, this takes us back to the previous discussion, user. How old is Kolivan if he was found member of the BoM? And while Haggar and Zarkon injected quintessence directly to their veins, the cat live longer just by staying around the lab.

I think there still may be some original Galras around.

>I think there still may be some original Galras around.
I highly doubt that.

> the cat live longer just by staying around the lab.
The cat is clearly possessed by something.

There's this

I hope Narti managed to transfer her mind into the cat before she died

See
So far it's all I've seen. I'll post if I see something else.

Narti isn't the special being: it's whatever eldritch abomination entered the cat 10,000 years ago.

>clearly

Why clearly? Before entering the rift, Honerva was already changing too, and she wasn't possessed by anything, just exposed and losing her mind. Like, they make the exposition point on purpose: Alfor shows worry about her when the cat starts changing.

If someone is possessed, it's Zarkon.

You're getting way too deep in the autism weeds here, Haggar wears a fucking hood all the time and is purple, Allura had no real reason so think "Ah ha this must be Zarkon's old wife who apparently isn't his wife anymore but a second in command witch that's shapeshifting her skin color for some reason, makes sense"

Narti was a meatshield being controlled by the cat. If anything Kova the cat is likely being controlled by that dark quintessence that Honerva was obsessed with.

Because didn't you hear those random satantic sounding whispers when Haggar saw the fucking cat?
