Tom DeFalco is my favourite Spider-Man writer

Tom DeFalco is my favourite Spider-Man writer.

If the Mouse loses its copyright extension (I doubt it, but the SC might just give Disney the middle finger), Steamboat Willie will just be re-released as a 'completely different thing guys' and they'll enforce the claim that way.

I love Man of Steel and Batman v Superman
I love most MCU movies but my favourite is Guardians 2 because of daddy issues.
Big Hero 6 is my favourite movie
Go Go Power Rangers is one of the few comics I keep up with
I write shipping fanfiction. I've gotten into shows for the shipping and have written fics for shows I haven't seen.

>I read/watch a thing and either think it's nothing special but a fine time killer or outright shit
>I come to Sup Forums (sometimes internet in general) and everyone praises that thing as if it's second coming of Jesus
Case in point, Satania comes to mind from the most recent stuff.
I keep catching myself in the same scenario over and over again and I don't understand why.

Spider man Reign is good

I refuse to see Black Panther in theaters because of the black hype

No one here reads comics and it's part of the reason I hate Sup Forums so fucking much.

I'm more put off by Killmonger hype.
These days when I see "this villain is amazing" on the internet, the villain in question turns out to be a fucking joke and I feel like I wasted my time watching the thing for a villain.
Vulture and Fisk were the only exceptions as far as MCU goes.

I believe anyone who justifies the lewdification of underage characters on this board should get perma'd.

Thanks Australia.

It's okay to like things. It's okay to not like things and you don't need to attempt to divine complex reasons to insult something and pretend your opinion is objective when you don't.

i genuinely think that there's nothing wrong with waifu/lewd threads and people who complain about them are either new or outsiders from other boards.

I don't believe anyone who disagrees with me is some manner of foreign infiltrator attempting to subvert our society.

I wish that I loved productive activities as much as I love watching cartoons
Voice actors should be celebrated more and not just the busty blonde ones
I don’t care whether a cartoon is CGI or 2d as long as it looks good
Staying on-model is not hard and is important for any show that takes itself seriously

Rebirth is cancer

Lore is not the end-all-be-all of storytelling.
Subversion is not the end-all-be-all of storytelling.
Shipping is not the end-all-be-all of storytelling.
Bittersweet endings are not the end-all-be-all of storytelling.

Execution is the end-all-be-all of storytelling.

Ultimate is fucking garbage and USM damaged 616 Peter's portrayal beyond recovery.

Paul Jenkins' Hellblazer run is underrated as fuck and way better than Milligan's crap.

Bendis was never good.

Amen.

It sucks when you have nothing for these threads, then think of one later after its gone.

Superhero movies have made me aware of actors and actresses that have been around for a while. I had no idea who Scarlett Johansson was before Iron Man 2 or who Ben Affleck was before BvS

This board is being way more childish and petty than usually lately and it's really annoying because it derails a lot of decent conversations.

Save for a few exceptions, like pic related, I really do not like Frank Quitely's art. I mean, the guy obviously know his stuff but his style just looks ugly to me most of the time.

I don't hate most MCU movies. I thought Iron Man 3 was okay.

I love bendis avengers run.

I am glad Gwenpool is over and I can't wait for Adventure time and SU to be canceled. Both of those shows are shit.

Same. I wasn't really that hyped for BP to begin with (I thought Ragnarok was underwhelming), but after all the weeks and months of "zomg first black superhero ever! defining moment in cinema! if you don't watch this movie at least seven times you're a nazi!" I lost any interest in seeing it in theaters.

I'm sad Gwenpool is over, but I'm happy it survived just long enough to get a satisfying conclusion rather than being driven into the fucking ground like every other IP.

Same with Invincible - there were definitely some missteps the last twenty issues - the reboot thing went nowhere, the time skip could have been handled better, etc - but the last couple issues were great and it was a really solid and satisfying conclusion to a comic I've been following since before Sup Forums.

Rare is the series that gets a good ending - most end too soon or live too long.

>I hate Batwoman, she should be dead.
>I never liked the Damian son of batman business

Saga is just OK

Aside from a few issues, Man of Steel is pretty damn solid and I do think it will be looked better upon in the next few years.

While no where as good as Terrance Stamp I did enjoy Michal Shannon's interpretation of Zodd.

I watched it yesterday, it really isn't awful, but it's a hard film to love. It did feel somewhat refreshing next to the many standard marvel films we have had inbetween

Beware the Batman was pretty ambitious for a Batman cartoon and deserved better than being forgotten while far worse Batman stories are more well-known.

I watched Black Panther and didn't see the big deal that both sides were making over it. It was a pretty standard MCU movie with a decent message and subpar cgi.

A fandom consensus should never be trusted and everyone should treat those kind of opinions with a "false until proven otherwise" approach. Especially, if we're talking about old franchises.
There is no correct viewing order for anything. Both release and chronological orders are equally valid.
Critics (especially ecelebs) don't know what they're talking about and are usually there just to market or make money off meming on someone's work. That's not to say some don't make valid points, but they are even less to be trusted than fandoms.
Man of Steel is one of the best superhero films to date.
The DCCU also got fucked up by WB trying to copy the MCU comedy-quip-action formula instead of making it its own thing. Rushing to launch it was also a great mistake.
The MCU started out great and is still good to some extent, but has degenerated into this same old comedy-quip-action formula. I'm convinced we will never see another "The Winter Soldier" type of film again.
Black Panther is a good film with some of the worst marketing I have ever seen. It somehow managed to be less cringe with its future-african shtick than what TLJ was trying to do. It's also fucking ironic that the bad guy represents the people who fell for the """"diversity"""" meme while they desperately try to unironically shoehorn that movement down everyone's throat on social media.
Fan pandering is bad and brings down the quality of everything it touches (see the star wars sequels, digimon adventure tri, third Riddick film).
Rogue One's use of the OT aesthetic is entirely justified just from the film's story being set days apart from ANH. The extra derivative designs are there not to tick of the "different" tick box, but to extend the OT design set.

capeshit comics are actually shit

>convoluted "stories"
>inconsistent characters, both personality and powers-wise, even within the same fucking story
>inconsistent and constantly fluctuating canon
>deus ex machinas and asspulls galore
>needing a vague knowledge of a multitude of seemingly unrelated characters because they might show up at any point in another character's comic
>the fanbase is an unpleasable hellhole that has no idea what the hell it is they actually want
>its overshadowed and made the graphic novel medium a joke to the general public (in the US at least)

capeshit needs to die or get restructured into something that's not a fucking farce

Their CGI in general's gotten a lot worse recently. Maybe it's because they're relying on it more to carry their films but it's a lot more noticeable than it used to be.

Be sure to watch the Town, State of Play & Argo if you haven't.
Affleck has done great stuff.

Strongly agree. His Emma Frost was a abomination.

you have horrid taste

It's just what happens when you keep characters going for decades and decades past any reasonable time when their stories should have ended a long time ago, and let dozens of different authors handle them at a time in each iteration.

I think I lack the cognitive ability to discern good quality from bad. I only really judge things on an Entertaining vs. Not Entertaining scale.
And I know it's against the Sup Forums grain but I can't say I absolutely hate anything I've seen or could point to something and say its shit with zero redeeming qualities.

Comicsgate is coming

one of the worst things i forgot to put on that list are the people defending the practice you said.
>"LOL its so much better than having a single story and the characters never die! they are timeless!"
its so fucking stupid

characters with an ending are infinitely better than ones that can eternally fuck up in a thousand different interpretations

>I can't say I absolutely hate anything I've seen or could point to something and say its shit with zero redeeming qualities
Me too, user.
There's always been something good in the bad things I've seen over the years.

global rule 15 is fucking stupid and needs to be removed already.

Nah, fuck off.

I would rather have anthro cheesecake allowed on blue boards and porn allown on /aco/ and /d/

I also have memory problems so if I have seen something I despised I've legitimately forgotten it.

>we should knock down this dam! How bad could it be?
Sure the town underneath would recover and rebuild but is it worth the damage?

its just fucking stupid for people to still be fucking triggered after like 10 years

we have furry allowed on the best board: /trash/ too now though.

I think that's why Watchmen is always so highly acclaimed - the story was allowed to end and said what it needed to say in one go.

Daniel Way was the greatest Deadpool writer to date.

I’m not sure which is the dumber New Sup Forums trend. Getting mad at line breaks or getting mad at pictures of guys with their mouths open

Believe me, neither of those are exclusive to Sup Forums. The whole damn website is wrapped up in this shit.

Maybe its because I haven't been lurking that much the last few days but what are you actually talking about?

I sincerely hope horror as a genre dies soon enough. It has nothing to offer and it never had anything of value in the first place.

She looked like a 70 year old Asian in diapers.

Recently I’ve seen people get mad at paragraph breaks in posts.

Like this, a space between your paragraphs/thoughts to make it easier to read.

The other thing is a bunch of guys Sup Forums doesn’t like have pics where they’re basically making a :D face and that’s dumb and wrong for some reason.

Go jack off in a Franco-Belgian thread, asswipe.

Right. The 'Reddit spacing' epidemic. Big problem that.

>The other thing is a bunch of guys Sup Forums doesn’t like have pics where they’re basically making a :D face and that’s dumb and wrong for some reason.

Because it looks retarded and it's done way too often. It's so fake and overly exaggerated it loses all humor.

It's like saying LOL out loud. There's just no reason for it.

>we have furry allowed on the best board: /trash/ too now though.
/trash/ is not the best board. I would take a board with shitty moderation than a board with mob rule and people trapped in their hugbox generals thinking the board is good

[s4s] is the only good board on this shithole site

/trash/ is a great board tbqhwyfam
we got furry porn, mlp porn, and three Sup Forums generals. the only bad part is all the fat threads and shit like diapers and fart threads.

>the only bad part is all the fat threads and shit like diapers and fart threads.

So how is this any better than a shithole like /aco/?

/trash/ is kinda shitty
theres a pedo general(thlg) three mlp porn threads, and people constantly ruining the drawthreads. as well as all the sjws it draws in (because their views are trash)

>pedo general
whats wrong with that?
>3 mlp porn threads
thats a good thing
>ruining drawthreads
how
>sjws
that sounds like bullshit

ha!

oh yea i also forgot to say that they're the saltiest fucks i've ever seen who can't take any criticism of their comics

I'm not sure I like comics and cartoons anymore and Sup Forums hasn't been keeping my interest like it used to.

Before his Sam Cap & Secret Empire I really thought Spencer was awesome.
Liked his Secret Avengers & loved Avengers World.
I miss that version of him.

Your "criticism" was a proof that you're functionally retarded.

Just take a break from Sup Forums and you'll like them again.
I promise

Geoff Johns is a good writer

I really wish south park fujo shit threads would fuck off to trash

Live-action fags are shit and Netflixfags are the worst of them.

It is possible and completely okay to like something even if it has glaring writing problems or even a silly plot.

I'm not really into comics so I thought Black Panther was just okay (the bad CGI triggered me) and it really annoys me that I always get friends looking shocked or side-eyeing me when I say it after they ask me what I thought of it. Yes, I know I'm black, I get it, you were expecting me to give it a 100 out of 10 and say WAKANDA FOREVER!!!111!

I'm holding out some more hope that Wreck-it-Ralph 2 will be good despite the trash trailer.

I actually like LaCroix "soda". I don't really get why people say it tastes like soda made by aliens; it just tastes like fruit flavored seltzer.

>ruining drawthreads
>how
Imagine if the Sup Forums drawthread mostly filled with posts of people complaining about repeat requesters, drawfags preferring to blog about not drawing, and various us vs them argument. This is on top of people spamming to kill the drawthread. Also you get nothing but maybe 1-2 deliveries per thread out of 100 requests.

...

I fucking hate Grant Morrison and his stupid fans and the goddamn cult mentality that he perpetuates. He's a pathetic charlatan just like Aleister Crowley.
Even though he's done several great comics, I roll my eyes at the very mention of his name in conversations about greatest comic writers of all time and I'm sick of seeing him treated like the only creative person in the medium and get praised for non-existant originality.
His Batman run in particular was disgustingly overrated.

I liked BvS
I liked Spider-Man Reign
I liked Tomasi’s Superman
I’m okay with calling Billy Shazam
I liked Bright
I like Damian Wayne
I like Luigi more than Mario
I have a tumblr
I like Optimus Prime with Energon swords
I liked Spider-Man 3
I am excited for Rampage with Rock
I like Gotham (the tv show)

While I like comic strips in general, I really, REALLY hate Calvin and Hobbes.

>I am excited for Rampage with Rock

My brother.

comicsgate was a load of hooey

I found his invisibles more overrated. Batman run was kept the writing tight and consistent in the vision of batman as a character. i dislike his wacky comics where he overplays his pretentious psychedelic shit

Like that silver age, yelling the plots at each other kinda story, eh?

The only disney animated movie that I was really looking forward to was cancelled for a movie that doesn't even have a script. I'm still bummed out.

In fact, I'm so bummed out that I resorted to writing fanfiction and learning 3D modeling just to make the characters for it and eventually a fanmade trailer.

Why?

> the story was allowed to end
heh

i cringe everytime someone says something like "oh i made that. thanks for saving it" and it's just a reaction pic or a screencap.

I know.

Better than the constant self-aware "am I cool yet?" quipshit we get now.
