Eh, I stopped watching when Matt Smith became the Doctor (I know, I know...) so I don't mind too much. I remember some dipshit on Sup Forums was whining about how he was totally offended on behalf of his dad who definitely was a huge fan, and how worried he was about the fact that Jodie Whitaker had said in interviews that she was - GASP - a FEMINIST.
tl;dr, don't mind, will probably watch, fauxtrage whiners gonna whine, they've been talking about a female Doctor for decades now so it's not like it was never going to be viewed as a "political" thing (whatever the fuck that means).
