Batman: Green Lanterns: Injustice: Superman:
I'm trying really hard to give a shit about Priest's run and I just don't. Guy seems to be more interested in writing an Avengers book than a Justice League one.
Wait, did they defeat the Fan guy, or...?
How did this become a different arc without finishing the previous one?
OK cover, though kinda plain.
weak cover
fucking SHIT this is AWFUL
when does the next writer start?
ffs priest
There are going to be some people getting very upset over this and Priest is going to love every second of it
Where are all these Marvel citizens comming from?
The fan is the one that caused all of this and they haven't captured him yet, no
This arc is Priest trying to do Squadron Supreme and FAILING.
>This art
She should just call herself Edgy Frost
This run had some promise, but now it's a mess. Very disappointing.
This is one of my favorite Superman moment in recent times, wow
>Wait, did they defeat the Fan guy, or...?
No
>How did this become a different arc without finishing the previous one?
He, and apparently several others, are playing 4D chess or some shit where they're trying to eliminate what they see as the Justice League's weak links.
The chemical fire may have been convenient accident or intended, but it was used either way to distract the two teams while what's her face sabotaged the tower and then they were teleported back so the weak would die in the crash.
Thing is it sort of makes no sense why they teleported the strong aboard with them if it was meant to be a process of elimination. Outside of a writer using it as a platform for theatrics and drama for an audience, in reality a team empowered people would simply band together before bickering over public visibility.
It's also curious the JL wouldn't have contingencies for such a scenario as their technology failing and the tower falling if they put the tower in space to begin with.
I get as a writer you do what you can for the story you have, I get franchise wide continuity can sometimes get more complicated than convenient, I get I as a reader can't really dictate what should happen when, but I'm sorry as a result of the Superman comics I've been informed thus far that Clark has the Fortress of Solitude and Bruce has (had? I think it was taken over by Cyborg Superman for a bit, can't recall its fate just that it existed) a secret moon base.
You mean to tell me neither of them would have those things wired to send assistance if signals in the tower went dark? The man who always finds a way, and the man who prepares for everything do nothing? Trying to give the rest of the team something to do is sweet and all, but the execution is very touch and go.
I liked it, though I'm a fan of overly complex keikaku
Well I mean, this entire scenario is precipitated on the idea that the Justice League are so incompetent that they keep the Watchtower operational despite knowing that it has been completely compromised by a third party that they haven't caught yet. Literally just turn off the teleporters, get everyone out by shuttles or something, then set up an auxiliary base somewhere while Cyborg and/or The Flash do a thorough sweep to ensure The Fan isn't in control of everything.
>get everyone out by shuttles
Escape pods are fucked and the rest of the world is at odds with each other on whether they should help them.
Green Lanterns ar missing so they can't just pick them up and if the Watchtower hits the earth it'll still kill thousands
That's what they were doing, Cyborg and Flash were trying to fix the Watchtower, but when the accident happened, Cyborg fucked up and turned on the teleporter so he could get there in time. That's when the Fan took over the teleporter to send everyone back to the Watchtower after he set it to crash with no survivors.
hello mr priest pls include me on the recap page
The user meant they should have already disabled the teleporter once it was fiddled with so it can't be fiddled with again, and then just send whoever was last on the tower down with a shuttle before they were similarly fiddled with.
He has a point too, technically I agree there's no real reason the League shouldn't have just disabled the liabilities and ran on alternatives rather than risk being further compromised, but as I was going on about a writer's limits forcing them to try to make new stories from increasingly narrowing opportunities as the heroes learn and gain resources I'm willing to humor letting some amount of the plot roll on instead of stop dead one issue in if it develops down the line, but only so long as it doesn't arrive at a point where it progressively makes less sense as it goes on.
Guess where we are right now.
The heroes hesitate and find themselves in a pickle? Sure. Mistakes happen.
The heroes then proceed to sort of just stand around and yap about irrelevancies as they're hurtling towards their death and then construe a needlessly convoluted plan to get those feeling unappreciated in on the action? I'm sorry this getting asinine.
Also the Fans still haven't made any significant point. They've said they're pulling a Manchester Black/Zoom/Red Hood and whoever else, but unlike those guys who had some manifesto and constructed arguments. Like Zoom wanted Wally to go back in time because Zoom couldn't at the time, in his warped mind he needed to break Wally to fix things. The fans meanwhile are just dicking with heroes ambiguously.
Why should the JL need to kill? Why did they need to frame Batman with killing? What did torturing a Lantern achieve? The Tower is a liability? Fucking send them a memo don't sabotage funds. If they want to see the JL's enemies permanently eliminated why not use their super secret network of keikaku assholes to kill them unseen? What the hell is the point of any of this?
It's just a shot at nostalgiafags
Actually i changed my mind. Batman should marry black canary. That would be interesting
I was liking the new Cyborg design then I saw his left arrm and it felt like it was out of place.
But if its used for stuff like this it became way better for me.
I think it's meant to emulate the see through parts of his TT design
Baz looks like a helium balloon that's just floating around there
Does someone know what this means? Google Translate is being a little bit ambiguous...
Neither "salir" nor "salí" are imperative IIRC. Google Translate at work, or is my Spanish as a fifth language failing here?
I'm glad someone finally made a comic book about the introduction to a philosophy and ethics textbook.
Completely blind guess, but I'm thinking Leave our Home or something like that because of "Casa", you know like "Mi Casa".
If this is the way people are gonna treat you... Let them die.
Why did they switch from using Celsius to using Fahrenheit and why weren't they using Kelvin the whole time if they want to be so science-y.
Could be. The first word means something like "please" or "rush in" from what I can tell.
>gains mass in earth's gravity
mass...
I'm guessing it was supposed to be:
>Leave! Go back home! We don't want you to be here!
Batman is a terrible character when everyone "knows" his identity. He should have never went with "I'm super rich"....It doesn't strike the fear in the hearts of criminals and heroes alike.
>It's ok when DC does it
looks like Bendis started early
what the hell is Batman even doing in the ceiling?
Brooding.
What is priest building up to? I want to dislike this I really do but it feels like much of it being obfuscated on purpose.
Wow Bendis hand´t began working and they are already are putting poorly written spanish in the books. Is a festivus miracle.
>another good Cyborg design that will be replaced thanks to No Justice
I'm getting real sick of everyone trying to give him a new and defining design, just let one settle that isn't BIG SILVER TERMINATOR
2018 the year Batman defeated Superman with a wistle and whistle, Catwoman kicked the Flashes asses at the same time and a literal who defeated the entire Justice League.
>all of whom were controlled by Poison Ivy who knows duck all about mastering their powers and Bruce even makes a point about this
Ftfy
2018 the year DC died a horrible death
stupid phoneposter
This is a mess. My guess it that they're saying
"Leave (Salí). We don't want you here (No queremos que esteis aquí). Go home (vete a casa). But the grammar is all over the place. Salí is first person singular past simple (pretérito perfecto simple), they're literally saying "I left". The correct term would be "Salid."
Now, "vete a casa" is again singular, I guess they mean plural so the correct way would be "Iros/Marchaos/lagaos de aquí". "No queremos que estéis aquí is correct.
Tom King is shit.
>calls me a stupid phoneposter
>thinks that DC will actually die and there hasn't been years worse than this
kek
The fans are Sup Forums, nice priest
I don't know where this is supposed to be happening but, "Salir" is infinitive, "to get out". "Salgan" or "Salid" would work, depending on where in the Spanish speaking world this is happening.
Salí could work if it were Argentina, but then they say "estéis", which is Spain style.
And anyway, they should be saying "Váyanse" if in Latin America or "Idos" if in Spain. Or they could just say "Fuera", which mean "out", but works as a rude way to say "get out"
Also, "vete a casa" is singular, should be "váyanse a casa".
Why can't they ever get someone who speaks Spanish to do this stuff? It's always weird google translate crap.
There's so many ways to say it, yet they pick all the wrong ones and make it inconsistent.
Fuera, Largo, Idos, Iros, Váyanse, Márchense, Marchaos. But no, either they had it google translated or they hired a LatinX who has never actually spoken the language.
Just use "¡Fuera!" ffs
Remember that "You don't owe the world a thing" line?
Literally the same argument here
The Ladder Family is going to be out in full force today
Pretending he's in control.
With Priest, everything seems confusing until the very end when it all makes sense.
What the fuck means Ferguson?
The watchtower would crack if it's grabbed from resistant pieces.
Wouldn't crack *
I think it's supposed to refer to the city with the riots and shit
I don't think he goes to Sup Forums
maybe
...
One, that shit doesn’t rhyme as a chant. Two, they mixed both iberian and rioplatense verb conjugations. Three, if by any chance they meant ”salid” instead of “che, salí, boludo”, then why would spaniards be chimping out in the US as if they were mexicans?
Did they get Gabby to write this page?
Even speedsters who just got their powers were better than that.
He was a good boi, he didnu nuffin.
Christ, this is somehow worse than Johns’ run
Anons said Priest was good; wtf did I just read?
How long will it be before the "Priest is a good writer" meme dies?
Good issue of a good run, most of you are clueless, the title can get bad and boring and usually is. These are solid stories.
