While the moral was pretty heavy-handed and poorly thought out given the show's universe, I did like the Music Man-esque song

>While the moral was pretty heavy-handed

Isn't that the whole idea when the show is clearly portraying the subject matter in a tongue-in-cheek manner?

So what's he gonna pitch next? Baseball bats? A boys' band? A genuine bonafide electrified six-car monorail?

They even tweeted that it was hard to write with all that ham in their fists.

I think that people are overlooking the true insulting nature of this episode that being they made a musical episode with only one good song and the good song in question was a parody of another song. I know it would be hard to have more than 2 songs occupy a 10 minute episode but that second song was absolute garbage. I'm all for any cartoon making a parody of "you got trouble" but you can at least try and follow it up with something good.

Bullshit episode and I hate it

Not bad
But this one is better
youtube.com/watch?v=6n_eLy6RHFs

I hate the episode, but that video's goddamn obnoxious

>"GET OUT OF HERE BEFORE I BAN MUSICALS TOO"

I think it was ironic guys

>it's a singing episode

I think whoever is responsible for these characters designs deserves to be shot

>Taking cartoons seriously
Ladies and gentlemen: white people.

>channel's made 7 videos in 7 years
>all of them less than 250 views

This is your video, isn't it?

Man, that's sad.

What are you doing, you can't post THAT HERE!

agreed

Episode was probably the worst of the series to date. Uninteresting premise, songs were absolute garbage, and i fucking hate "Its all a dream" trope.

I liked how edgy it got with Gar though

This one is better

knowing what you made is shit doesn't magically make the product less shit

I'm tempted... but I fucking hate Shane Killian.

This reminds me SO much of the late 80s/90s anti-drug cartoons with just how obnoxious the propaganda was.

At least the anti-drug people had some form of science and evidence to back up their stuff.

And watched it. Shane remains shitty enough to make you feel unpleasant about agreeing with him.

The affect he puts on is grating, but hey his regular voice is annoying too.

He sounds like Bently

What was the moral of this? That it's ok to be Bi?

Or this?

Or the furry acceptance episode with the human skinsuits, that was a good one.

>implying I'm an autist who has a problem with those

the off-model shit is and will always be the biggest deal breaker

Attached: 1504683663759.png (379x442, 224K)

Being triggered by off-model drawings is the ultimate autist behavior actually

I thought this show liked to parody 80s cartoon PSAs, where'd the irony go?

That’s not even close

It was ironic
KO, who was anti gun, was forced to use a gun. You can’t get more red pilled than that

Here's the episode OP's talking about, for anyone curious.

And what's to stop the big bad from inventing skeleton remotes of their own? In a world where supervillians can have laser guns and death traps with robots, this is really phoning it in.

Does someone really have to explain this, or are you being obtuse on purpose?

>It's an "After School Special" episode.

I'd get better responces on Sup Forums

This episode is like watching Ryann and Parker trying to jam a square peg in a round hole.

>triggered by drawings
>not an autist

This is when you combine Alex Jones with Mr. Enter.

It's hamfisted sure, but it's a truth that no one wants to hear. The debate always boils down to "Yeah it's fun, but do you really need it?"

parkersimmonsyall.tumblr.com/post/171834583422/heres-the-demoanimatic-i-made-for-skeleton
one of the boarders posted the song demo

not if they're bad looking. Thankfully for OK KO, only one artist (the one who drew this ) draws like shit while the rest have a much nicer looking approach to off-model

>It’s another political statement episode

Man, OK KO went down the shitter fast.

>It's another "I'll raise my own kids" lie

The fuck does that even mean?

Mr. Gar sells weapons and super powers are common. Yet the "not guns" are bad?

It's because they're not actually guns, duh

They erase super powers. Did you even watch the episode?

What exactly is true about this episode anyway?

Can someone who hasn't seen this episode explain to me how turning a villain into a skeleton stops them from being a threat?

They can still beat you up.

That's what annoys me about the episode. They make a gun are bad episode, but they remove the entire reason why some people think guns are bad.

They become spooky scary skeletons. And no one wants that.

Have you ever made a fist with one of those science class laboratories and made it punch you? Its not very dangerous
Plus it removes all powers and you're not as strong anymore

>They erase super powers
>they're devices that remove your ability to defend yourself
Did these guys spend even a minute thinking about this analogy?

Sounds like you've definitely spent a lot of time thinking about it

It took me till KO's musical number to realize this was an episode about gun control.

Yet another reason not to watch that show

Fucking this. The half-assed message was just the icing on the shitcake of a poorly executed musical episode.

They made Captian Planet look nuanced by comparison. We're talking in the Chick Tract or DPRK propaganda video range.

Don't be such a bigot user.

Why does this show look like a 7 year old newgrounds flash animation?

>Why is a cartoon for children presented in a way that's familiar to them?
Hmmm.
Tough question.

>storyboarded by parker simmons
youtube.com/watch?v=pc-EP-0xEDQ

>I'm all for any cartoon making a parody of "you got trouble"
from the storyboarder himself
>I wanted to go for a church revival style number because I feel that type of music is so fun and persuasive that you can’t help but feel swept up. Also, I felt that the Simpsons had so thoroughly and perfectly parodied Harold Hill that I wanted to go a different direction. If you want to hear something close to this check out Phil Harris’s cover of “Old Time Religion” somewhere on youtube!

on an unrelated note, the two songs in the eps had different people behind them (boarder Parker Simmons did the first song, while boarder ryann shannon did the other song)

>having standards is autism
