One Punch Man.

I always thought Icon was pretty cool. A right wing alien negro who thinks blacks need to sort their shit out and better themselves was and still is a unique take on black superheroes.

I just hear the voice of Sargon shouting "But What if Thomas Sowell moved next door?!"

He's not a Supes expy. Closer to Captain Marvel (the dc one)

Bruce Willis in Unbreakable

What exactly was the appeal of Irredeemable? I read a small synopsis but it just sounded like "Hehe... Our Superman is evil...", is it kind of a redemption story or just through and through grimdark fuckery?

Why not read it instead of a small synopsis faggot

Didn't wanna make a 37 comic commitment if it's gonna be bad

It's bad

Praying so hard they don't make him a sjw in the upcoming relaunch.
Such a great design, pity the character is unlikable.
Series is a indepth character study on the evil Superman but even more so his former allies and how they are dealing with the shock of the most inspiring among them turning into a walking atrocity the likes of which they could not imagine.
If your not aware there is a side series Incorruptible which is about a former villain becoming a hero in the wake of the Plutonian's fall.

I thought Val-Zod was cool

Then drop it when you don't like it you dense fuck. How do you even put your pants on in the morning without some anonymous asshole telling you which leg to do first?

So it's Injustice but not shit?

in what way?

>So it's Injustice but not shit?
Well, it's Injustice bit different.

The dad from sky high.

There is no pretense about the Superman figure doing this for the greater good and all that, he goes full bore gleefully genocidal.

Who is the black & red guy?

>>Implying Captain Marvel isn't the original Superman expy

Supreme taste, user.
You hear about the sequel?

I remember the situation from another thread, but what's the sauce?

What's better?
>A Superman who's afraid of not being strong enough
>A Superman who's afraid of being too strong

Not strong enough.
Worrying about the next foe or crisis is infinitely less grating than "I'm a monster" when he grips a cup too tight.
That said, the World of Cardboard speech was one of Superman's shining moments.

Goku

You know, now that I think about it, has any superhero really reflected on the fact that the stakes always only go up? It starts with protecting one city, then one nation, then the whole world. And then the world and maybe a couple of nearby planets. Then the galaxy, then the universe, and then the multiverse and time itself.
Where do they draw the line at who they are and aren't obligated to save? How can they choose between stopping a multiversal dictator and protecting their own planet from destruction? Law of averages just makes the enemies more and more powerful, too. When will it ever be enough?

Stronger enemies you say?

The only correct answer. Everything else is false.
