Parker has explained he wears the bright colors and makes jokes because he's ridiculously (lethally) strong, crawls on walls, ejects super adhesive to bind people, is precognisint, and highly intelligent. If he didn't act light-hearted and dress like a clown people would be terrified of him.

I don't think you understand. Serious/Angry Spidey is stealthy. That black suit is specifically for him to become an actual fucking spider and act like an ambush predator. Again, that's Kaine's gimmick primarily. Back when he was an assassin he'd do it and he'd take a lot fucking more than tiny holes.
