Quite possibly, yes. I think "Baby comes out as gay, and its inspiring" is a new low for American culture.

That isn't what happened, but it was terrible anyway.

It's no Kill The Alligator and Run, but it's up there.

>hey R&M did it
>might as well do it ourselves!

>hey R&M did it
I know complaining about R&M is fun but they didn't invent therapist episodes.

What happens?

Is there a way to make an episode that takes place at a therapist's office funny?

Nothing.
It's 30 minutes of Stewie rambling. It turns out Stewie's British accent is fake and he created it to hide his insecurities. He reveals his normal voice but then reverts back. That's it.

Yes

Attached: hqdefault.jpg (480x360, 15K)

So he's been putting on a fake accent that he's literally never dropped even by accident once in the past 15+ seasons? Yeah, sounds like something Family Guy would do

Frasier, Malcolm in the Middle did one, A couple of Simpsons episodes.

That at least had one line I still use
>No listening. You hear me?
>You just don't learn do ya?

anyone got the mega?

How are foreign-language dubs going to adapt that?

>other languages don't have accents

Do foreign dubs give stewie an accent?

Probably just do a different regional dialect.

So in the Mexican dub has he been speaking Castilian accented Spanish or whatever their version of formal English would be all these years?

>comedians doing routines about being fuck ups and then staging it in a shrink's office: the show

It's one of the better family guy episodes so probably not, no.
Other than the tired old breaking the fourth wall bit and the obligatory gross out gag it was very good.

B8

venezuelan dub might switch to the english voice, they're that awful.

Stewie looking at a photo and rambling for like ten fucking minutes.

Are you upset?

dr. katz sucked

Remember that episode where Brian's relative Jasper wanted to get married and Stewie said he hated homosexuals and spit on Jasper?
Remember that episode where Stewie had a girlfriend who was just like him and they had a bunch of silly antics about destroying the world?

You're entitled to your opinions even if they're wrong

Attached: giphy.gif (500x338, 450K)

yes, that is the concept.

>Remember that episode where Brian's relative Jasper wanted to get married and Stewie said he hated homosexuals and spit on Jasper?
No. Because that never happened.

I constantly forget Jasper is a thing until I see porn of him.

It's not even about him being gay faggot
Stop projecting

Season 4 Episode 25

I’ve seen the episode. That isn’t what happened at all.

No, Gem Harvest is worst.

I just started watching the episode and you forgot to mention the most important part, op. The therapist is voiced by Patrick Stewart.

youtu.be/m2hoTY2hnJE?t=126

But he didn't come out?

I mean I guess it doesn't seem that notable since he already voices a regular character on American Dad

Hold on...

>venezuelan dub

Those people are living in a Mad Max movie thanks to socialism, do they really have time to watch family guy?

Nope, he just speaks like everyone else.

It's actually Ian McKellen but I thought it was Stewart as well.

>Is this the worst episode of any cartoon ever?
YES

It's like when a guest star shows up in a cartoon and the characters think they're the best thing ever and has all their merch but this is never brought up in the series, in the past seasons or the future ones. It's just doing it for the sake of the story.

Man that was terrible nothing fappable at all.

so that's a no then

British queers are pretty interchangeable

Not gonna like and I like both shows but I really feel like Seth was trying to channel some kind of R&M thing with this episode.

I actually died when he was singing hamalton with snot in his mouth just because havinh witnessed so many girls sing along to that it was theraputic.

There was a couple scenes with the therapist episode with Helga that I laughed in.

Patrick Stewart isn't gay, artard.

i thought he was married to ian?

Regional dialect, lot of other shows do it

No? They're friends and he officiated Stewart's wedding to a woman in 2013, but they definetely aren't a couple

>no epic chicken fight
Yes. Yes it is.

Venture Brothers did it

The wife is just a beard. him and Ian have implied they're secretly a couple in interviews.

i liked the first minutes of it. The rest was unnecessary.

>”I totally watched the episode guys”

seth iova is literally the only good thing about Brian and Jasper

He's been married 3 times. He isn't gay.

Ricesnot channel

Stewart isn't homo, just somewhat camp.

I thought the episode was great. It was simple, just a dialogue between two characters, but it played like an uninterrupted probing of Stewie's character. They directly referenced aspects of Stewie that fans have discussed and criticized, Stewie's fading world domination in later seasons, how he's rarely understood by adults, his sexuality, even his voice and accent.

The therapist is just a prop to let the writers explore Stewie's character, to show what it's like when he's ruthlessly calculating and when he's gross and vulnerable. There's charm in the small details, Stewie's brief hiccups after crying, the dog-eared copy of Shakespeare on the floor of the therapist's childhood home. This was the best episode of Family Guy I've seen in ages, really stellar writing.

Shut up Seth.

If I've seen very little of Family Guy, could I like this episode? The character exploration bit sounds interesting, and Stewie seems really similar to one of my favorite characters, Eric Cartman.

Thats what happened? I couldn't last past 5 minutes.

Absolutely, you'd enjoy this episode. Stewie's opening monologue is on the same wavelength as Cartman when he channels Hannibal Lecter.

The episode where Stewie made Brian eat his shit was better.

You both need to get some culture if you think Stewie and Cartman are impressively written.

Name 3 better written characters from adult satirical cartoons

Yeah, Hey Arnold did it well.

I liked the opening. They threw a lot of setups out there and the lack of cutaways felt almost jarring.

I'll one up ya and give ya four

>YA UNZIPPED ME

of course he is, he's British

yeah but make it like those parody conffessionary scenes where the camera is infront of the character and the character is saying something crazy
also dont have the therapist give a speech at the end please

The Malcolm in the Middle one was just a clip show though

>Oh I get it. We're supposed to look at this pen and think "Oh that's a dick."

>20 minutes of stewei talking about being an older gay guy with an average salary
why?

>Gem Harvest is bad
Not when Rocknaldo exists

A 20 minute episode of an animated comedy with, by my count, 3 jokes. One of which was a callback and one of which was a british geography joke.

The first 7 minutes solid are Stewie rambling about an old gay man's life without a single joke whatsoever - that's all the way from intro to first break without a single joke.

I pray this means Seth is just trying to kill the show.

COMEDY

Dale Gribble
Cornfed
Pickles Oblong

Because in their desperate attempt to get an Emmy, they had to bring in Ian McKellen.
And Ian McKellen is freaking Ian McKellen, he doesn't need to come to family guy. So, if he comes, he comes to promote stuff that matter to him.

>So, if he comes, he comes to promote stuff that matter to him.
being gay sucks?

The Castilian version has no accent whatsoever; I guess they'll have to pretend he was hiding one all along.

It’s FAMILY GUY YOU FUCKING PSEUD

Seth has long since given up on Family Guy. Doubly so since he's now got The Orville to focus on.

How does it compare to the "deep" bank episode?

family guy trying to do pretentous is like a wild goose getting loose at a gala

its the exact same thing only with a british psychologist instead of brian

BoJack Horseman
Frank Murphy
Bob Belcher

Bonus Booyakasha: Sterling Archer

Seth hasn't worked on Family Guy for YEARS other than as a voice actor.

Dr. Katz.

>this episode, the Pregnant Stewie episode, and the bank vault episode were written by the same person...who was also one or FG's original writers when it debuted in '99 and the writer of "Road to Rhode Island"
