Scrappy wasn't that bad and the first two live action movies were good. It's a damn shame about the newer live action movies and Be Cool Scooby Doo, but overall it's a pretty damn good franchise that will power through this lull. The only other bad series has been that one that wasn't even written as a Scooby Doo series, but they decided to make Shaggy and Scooby the main characters to rake in extra cash.

It never "became" terrible, it's just had sporadic moments of quality and terribleness. Right now with "Be Cool" and the most recent movies it's alright, but a few years ago with Mystery Incorporated and the moves they were releasing at the time it was fucking terrific.
