Not gonna lie, I would love to see that in the movies, but we know is basically impossible, given the age classification of the movie,
BUT!... I'm sure it will appear on a porn, thanks to the movies

What? You don't like this Gamora?

Attached: Gamora_from_poster.jpg (506x968, 248K)

she looks ridiculous.

Gunn was the worst thing that happened to the MCU, he ruined a lot of cosmic characters and concept, "b-but, but he made them popular, the m-movies are fun, the s-soundtrack" fuck that shit!!! I hope he's fired soon alongside Waititi.

Why would he be fired?

Movie Mantis > comic Mantis
You know it to be true in your heart

>literally made marvel cosmic a profitable concept for movies
>literally made Thor a now well liked concept
>literally made the most FUN movies in the mcu
Stay mad cosmicuck. I can't wait for the eventual anihillation movie

I know I do. Zoe Saldana is a cutie.

Because he lives in a fantasy land where Marvel gives a single shit about him.

Movie mantis looks like she has space aids.

It's called antennas, you racist piece of shit.

She looks comic accurate

Thank god Sup Forums has no input in cape films.

Logan wasn't comic accurate and it's lauded as the best X-men movie ever.

Attached: 1501776584406.png (325x499, 340K)

He didn't ruin a single thing. In fact he gave pretty much all of the characters more depth.

Naw, she needs to be covered in mesh.

>Memes of the Galaxy movies love quips
>Pip, a quippy drunkard midget could be played by Peter Dinklage
>Profit?

He never did anything with Thor

If cape movie audiences wanted comic accuracy they'd read comics.

muh dick

This needs to be made a thing stat.

GOTG2 is better than 95% of the source material.

>implying it's Gunn's fault the comic writers decided to be influenced by the movie so hard so as change character personality and designs

stay mad meanwhile based gunn keeps providing us with the only franchise of movie who cares about their characters besides captain america

> disliking the most pure space waifu
thats gay

Same. Fucking bathos, nothing but bathos everywhere. I hate how Spiderman, Antman and Strange may also adopt that shit now that Gunn's supposedly leading the Phase 4. I guess this generation of audience wants it. Even situations of gravitas needs some terrible fart joke to "keep it light".

>Made the movies profitable
Exactly, that's the problem.

What do you really expect after xmen was all dark and emo. People got sick of that shit. They want some action and laughs, like the circus. The biggest laugh though is DC bringing us the full on darkness and grit in a time were people are just fed up with that shit. DC will learn eventually and you'll start seeing them drag out the 'wacky' villians and shit like Red Tornado

It isn't Gunn's fault that the comics went to shit trying to copy his movies, which are some of the best in the MCU.

Attached: Gamora04.jpg (718x950, 190K)

>literally just turned them into full blown comedies

Wow, what artistic vision!

This is the first time I've seen someone else mention bathos on Sup Forums.
But the thing is, bathos isn't bad when it's on purpose. Better to be on purpose than to be so self serious you loop back around to silly.

not that guy but he developed the visual ideas which lead thor ragnarok's production design to seem like a profitable idea to the execs, like he may be a weird perv but he was the stepping stone out of the techninja benghazi bullshit that marvel was doing into a more colorful emotionally honest marvel with saturated colors

it looks like a good attempt at her classic costume whats the deal

Issue is comic accurate is ridiculous. at least outside of comics

>we could have full helmet
i want to kick him in the nuts

Attached: starlord.jpg (995x1600, 146K)

Movie Rocket already has shades of Pip what with being a selfish thief. Pip himself would be redundant.

This makeup artistry looks much closer to the comic and better than in the film imho

That jacket is so much better than the generic trench/leather jacket he wears now

>meme lord
>retarded drax
>gamora is weak as fuck

>cape movie audiences
they would watch anything disney throw at their faces

It's still hard to believe that they made the modern hodge-podge Guardians into a huge franchise recognized the world over.
I remember all the Stillwell babbys who were CERTAIN this would be the MCU flop that weakened the entire endeavor.

GotG made movies like Suicide Squad remotely possible (for good or ill), and opened the gates for Z-list heroes to get movies and shows.

Attached: StillwellJustinScheller.jpg (226x342, 10K)

>and opened the gates for Z-list heroes to get movies and shows.
that was blade

Not really. Blade was followed up by all the usual A-list efforts.
Blade really exists outside the cape/comic movie genre in most people's minds, but you could argue that it made fantasy/action stuff like Buffy possible.

Attached: Blade Snipes.jpg (320x240, 20K)

W...why would Marvel want to make movies that millions of people enjoy instead of catering to the 10,000 comic nerds who even fucking know who Rocket Raccoon is?

>I am a faggot casual who only read DnA Guardians please rape my face

The rest of us were content with ignoring his stupidity.

solid arguments boys

Attached: 151784-bill.jpg (650x366, 33K)

Gunn didn't, but Thor: Ragnarok took a lot of cues from Guardians of the Galaxy in terms of set dressing, background, theme and more. To say that GotG didn't influence it for the better is a mistake.

He made normies care about a scarcely known comic property and gave the space stuff in the MCU a very distinctive feel from other space stuff in other properties
Can't please them all but he did his job quite well

buffy premiered before blade

Looking back on it, I'd say the biggest single influence Blade had on the superhero movie genre was the leather look (over) used by the X-Men a couple of years later.

Attached: X-Men.png (800x450, 672K)

The comic is the idiotic edgelord trash that only Millar fans think is cool. Yeah, let's adapt a retarded story verbatim where MYSTERIO tricks Wolverine into killing everyone, and then Hulk and She-Hulk, a particle physicist and a lawyer who happen to be cousins, fuck each other to make inbred hicks or something?

Millar fans fuck off, even Wanted was better adapted to movie than in the comic.

Those were observations, no one really wants to argue with an ignoramus.

i used to believe this but i threw that idea away when i saw hood good cosplay looked

Great. Ladderbro is here.

Attached: 1390960312477.jpg (900x675, 223K)

so you basically lose every discussion you had in the internet and have opted to shut your mouth to avoid confirming your stupidity? good boy

Does this have all the good Guardians of the Galaxy comics?

Attached: Cosmic Marvel Reading List.jpg (1599x1477, 392K)

The Nu Guardians of the Galaxy, yes.

>Nu Guardians
>getting this desperate
sweet

Yep, that fault lies squarely on Bendis’ shoulders

It's been pointed out that you're ignorant of the characters in GotG outside of DnA and the movie.
Particularly Drax, who spent a lot of time dumber than the Hulk before becoming a thinly-veiled Riddick ripoff.
These characters have hardly ever had consistent characterization, because they were unimportant Z-listers for decades. Old Star Lord was an incredibly bland, earnest Space Hero. Then he got reinvented as the "old veteran who's seen some shit" in the comics, but the MCU wasn't interested in the baggage that went with their decades-long adventuring.

Gamora in GotG 1 was used badly as a fighter, but not really any worse than Cap in First Avenger, and like Cap got a lot better by the second film.

If you want a discussion or an argument, stop greentexting shit like "Meme Lord" like a raging faggot.

Ok, it's pretty clear you are just being a fag for trolling purposes, enjoy a final (You) and your warm feelings of "victory".
You've succeeded in being enough of a colossal faggot that you'll be avoided. congrats.

It's on purpose yes, but they go nuts with it to the point I don't even want to watch the rest, it's too distracting.

Olivia Wilde would have been the better Gamora

>You can easily bully movie Mantis in a sexual fashion

Attached: Damn+momma+passed+down+the+_8b21d39920da49830d2745a83711440e.jpg (324x288, 30K)

I do though.

This looks way too fucking dumb to constantly be wearing. It makes my peepee diamonds, but I wouldn't be able to take her seriously at all.

Adventure movies with a large dose of comedy.

I'll agree with that. Comic Mantis is dull as fuck.

I really don't care because I could give fuck all about your stupid comics. The movie itself was just okay.

I miss R Rated James Gunn content.

>Blade had on the superhero movie genre was the leather look (over) used by the X-Men
I think the tight leather was more Bryan "I'm Lyin' the Boy was Cryin" Singer's fault.

I can't remember a single bathos moment in the MCU besides GotG1's climax
And that was pretty well used
I haven't watched everything, to be fair

Attached: Gamora-1-Cover-Francesco-Mattina-368be.jpg (900x1367, 114K)

someone hasn't seen GotG2

Zoe is a cutey but that make up made her look like a neanderthal sometimes. the lack of eyebrows didn't help.

Do you have legitimate complaints or are you just being a bandwagonner that hasn't read anything cosmic?

The only thing I dislike about Gunn is that he has a pretty shitty and forced sense of humor sometimes (like the Taserface running joke that wasn't even funny), and he loves potty humor.

Only Engelhart Mantis, I liked DnA Mantis.

Don't get your hopes up because it looks like they'll make her behave more like comic Mantis. James Gunn said her personality was going to be different by Infinity War because she would be less socially awkward.

>Issue is comic accurate is ridiculous

Leave

You need to go back to r/marvelstudios where you belong

A lot of the stuff that we got wasn't even Gunn's decision, look into some of the interviews that Nicole Perlman has made regarding her time scripting for GotG and she pretty much mentions that Marvel already knew what they wanted to do with GotG before Gunn came in.

>James wrote the last draft. Marvel always knew they were going to hire a writer/director for the film. They had such a good experience with Joss Whedon [on The Avengers]. They are very pro writer/director. And James is a friend of Joss’, as well. We always knew that the tone of the movie was going to be sort of irreverent, sassy and funny. And there was a lot of comedy that Marvel definitely wanted to bring somebody on who would bring a very specific visual style and a lot of humor. James definitely did that for sure. He added a couple characters and just really brought his particular stamp to it.

I also recall her mentioning in another interview how they Marvel higher ups weren't interested in having Star-Lord as a guilt ridden army vet guy and wanted to make him more of a swashbuckler outlaw type, so it's definitely not Gunn who had a say in that.

>Marvel higher ups weren't interested in having Star-Lord as a guilt ridden army vet guy
I guess that makes sense for the character's introduction. I was pretty confused by who Star-Lord was when he showed up as the bitter advisor with cybernetic emplants to Nova in Annihilation. I still much prefer the DnA Star-Lord, but he should be a space adventurer before you break him to put him back together as something better.

>profitable
>well liked
>FUN
Pretty telling that you can't use words like good, amazing, or quality to describe them.

>I liked DnA Mantis
Never understood the love for her, she was basically a glorified secretary. Comic Mantis has always been weak waifu-bait but Giffen's was probably the best I guess.

whatever meat tunnel they invoked to play the roll is disgusting. She is ugly, remarkably, distressingly so. Combined with the makeup and effects it just...unpleasant to look at her. Now maybe it's by design- I don't know

Spotted the fag

Movie Quill is basically Bronze Age Quill with more emphasis on his mommy issues, the personality of DnA, and the origin of Starhawk.

Bendis was involved in the first movie and by the way James Gunn talks about the Creative Comittee I'm sure he wasn't happy about that. Hell the way he always mentions how he didn't like the Thanos scene in the first movie and how the CC made him rewrite it and added suggestions, makes me think Bendis probably added some of the corny dialogue in that scene (like the "I will bathe the stars in your blood" seems like something Bendis would write).

Early on before Gunn came on board Bendis and McNiven were saying that they were working with the movie people in

>McNiven: I'm trying to re-design the whole team here. My approach to the designs was to match them to the characters and to update the look. Double-breasted jackets and outer space adventure don't really fit these days. As far as bringing them closer to the Marvel U, I think that hopefully they will stand out rather than blend in. I have been in touch with the movie studio guys and we are all tossing design ideas around, so hopefully we can have some unity between the movie and comic looks.

If anything James Gunn not coming in would have resulted in GotG being Marvel Studios first flop because a bunch of people who didn't know what the fuck to do with the movie where working on it and making decisions about it (and according to Nicole she started working on the GotG script since 2009 so Bendis was involved since then). Heck Perlman mentions that the Creative Comittee wanted to scrap Rocket from the movie but Feige ended up telling them to keep him.

>There was a bit of a question whether or not to use Rocket. They were afraid he was going to come off as “cartoon-y”. Fortunately, Kevin Feige [Marvel president] was a fan of Rocket and let me keep him.

Say what you will about Gunn but he grew up reading Cosmic, he read DnA's run and he is the one who decided to scrap anything Bendis and he isn't that subtle about not liking what Bendis did, pic related.

Attached: GunnGotG.jpg (753x644, 107K)

>Pretty telling that you can't use words like good, amazing, or quality to describe them.
Those terms are subjective, and you'd just respond with "NUH UH, DEY IS SHIT".

So what's the point?

I feel like they could move Quill into DnA Star-Lord especially if the leaks about what happens in Infinity War are true and Gunn said that the Guardians have grown since we last saw them in GotG vol. 2 since they had like 6 years of being Guardians.

I expect to see Peter having his shit together and being more responsible but still cracking jokes although in a more "I am done with your shit" type of way.

>Doesn't care for Agent Venom
A man of refined tastes indeed.

>IT'S GOOD BECAUSE IT MAKES MY P P HARD

Eh she had a lot of cute moments with the other characters and chemistry with Peter and wasn't as ominous and Mary Sueish as how Engelhart made her. I just liked her so different strokes.

Giffen Mantis was more of a weirdo but she was cool too.

It is kinda cringey when Draxx is supposed to be like a serial killer type who can almost rival Thanos in strength and seriousness, but I like him. Dave is the perfect actor for the role(who’d have thought?) and his parts are pretty good, especially the last trailer for IW. Something about the look he gave Tony that made that flat ass joke passable

I think he means he doesn't care to make any of them Guardians and Agent Venom as a Guardian could have been interesting but at the end of the day Bendis didn't do anything worth doing with him.

If you can make a literal who like Jack Flag work with the Guardians you can make a lot of characters work.

Speaking of Jack Flag...

Attached: GunnFlag.jpg (725x440, 68K)

>Double-breasted jackets and outer space adventure don't really fit these days
This fucking guy. The uniforms are GOAT of course but I'll still take the pseudo-rock-star looks of the movie versions of Peter and Gamora over generic Mass Effect armor any day.

>Double-breasted jackets and outer space adventure don't really fit these days.
Go fuck yourself with your Mass Effect-rip off designs, MicNiven!

Attached: Guardians of the Galaxy09.jpg (1280x1990, 614K)

Being better than Bendis's daddy issues storyline doesn't mean much.

>according to Nicole she started working on the GotG script since 2009 so Bendis was involved since then
Too lazy to look for the specific time but in this podcast (and it's towards the end, I do remember that)
>youtu.be/cEpO1cTmoGk

Abnett mentions that Marvel was going to cut him and Lanning short but instead allowed them to wrap things up in Thanos Imperative. The reason being that they were already working in making the GotG movie and wanted to relaunch the GotG movie with a new creative team to promote it.

Bendis in his comic interviews mentioned that Dan Buckley was the one insisting that he should be the writer for the Guardians but Bendis wasn't convinced. It took him skimming through Claremont's run and McniVen coming on board to convince him to write Guardians.

Honestly it was so annoying hearing Bendis and McNiven mention how they were working on the movie and claiming how they were being big influences for it while making terrible as fuck decisions in the comics.

People forget Bendis made Knowhere into Tatooine and depicted it as a Desert Planet before Gunn made it a Celestial head in the movie like it's suppose to be (then when he wrote the Secret Wars Guardians of Knowhere comic, Knowhere had a patch of sand on top of it with a desert settlement, it was obvious he wanted to force the Tatooine shit). He also compared Rocket and Groot to RD2 and C3PO, I am fucking glad that hack is gone.

But really I remember anons in Sup Forums thinking Bendis was going to fuck things up, really it could have been worse.

IIRC he also shit talks about Star-Lord's mask and helmet, it was a terrible time to be a Guardians fan.

>4 goddamn years
I still can't believe it sometimes. It was a hellish nightmare.

>Hating on Mysterio
Fuck you my dude, he's Marvels best villain next to Doctor Doom

>2004-2011
>All the good
GotG existed years before 2004 you faggot
I bet you think Ultimate Spider-man is good too
