Evenin' everybody. I had so much fun a few weeks ago storytiming Chew that I thought I would try storytiming another comic with a definite end and not too long volumes.
Transmetropolitan has longer volumes than Chew, but not insanely so, so I'm going to try storytiming one a day for the next ten days around this time. So let's see how it goes, maybe I'll get bored, I don't know.

I'm going to skip over the intros and credits of the volumes.

Nice OP. I haven't read "The Boys," but I find it hard to believe that it's the same artist as this from the single pages that I've seen. The coloring makes it look so different.

I haven't read The Boys either, but from what I've seen the humans can look kind of sunburn plastic-like.

Darick Robertson's art reminds me of that guy from Mad Magazine who drew the really good grotesque faces.

thank you, always weird when I see other storytimes do this

I know Spider Jerusalem's look is iconic, but I kinda like this look.

The worst is when the intro is done by a guest, and then they spoil the events of the volume. I think I remember that happening in the Sandman trades.
One of the intros for this is by Patrick Stewart though, and if I remember right, is all about him wanting to play Spider (20 years ago).

Anyone who points out that Spider looked like Alan Moore going in and Grant Morrison going out will be shot.

This whole subplot is kinda weird, because aliens/outer space stuff isn't really a part of the world for the rest of the series.

I'm just amused that in the future with all this weird shit, cars still look like that.

GLORY
I was missing your storytimes

probably because most of the single pages from The Boys that regularly get posted are from a different artist

SPKF turned out to be more important than I thought it would be.

Enjoy these moments with just Spider and Channon, there are too few.
