What's really dumb is the character's aren't even dead, they're skeletons. There's even a gag where character called Real Magic Skeleton who gets shot by the ray and doesn't care because it doesn't affect him, until it's revealed it missed and hit the guy next to him. In a previous episode they were all irreversibly turned into furries and ignored the problem by wearing costumes that made them look like their normal selves and agreed to never mention it again. The writing in this episode was just half-assed.
