Disney had nothing to do with S1 not having episode-to-episode continuity, and just having that format doesn't mean a show will be better.
The issue is less Disney Channel having poor management, and more that all network stations (especially for the kids/animation channels) are struggling to find the same levels of viewership with cordcutters and generational disinterest in television. I agree that it was poor timing for the show coming out while they were still trying to figure out DisneyXD and their apps.
The worst case of luck in my opinion is that it only started to gain a somewhat active fanbase after the show had already ceased production. It is what it is, at least it ended while it was still good. Even if it hurts, I prefer that to seeing a show go on too long until it's a glimmer of what it once was. I am annoyed that the last episode basically ended on a cliffhanger new season villain tease.

I didn't exactly word my post correctly. I definitely didn't want Dominator to get converted all the way, but there's no reason to believe that there's no hope for her to become a better person. In the finale she clearly considers Wander's 'offer', but she lets her ego get in the way of it.
I do agree that Dominator having a sad backstory would suck ass.

Yea, the animation detail was bumped up noticeably. I respected how in the BG of Dominator's ship you could see constant lava flowing through the cracks, and that it wasn't just a yellow/red blur to get the idea across. I love animation details that minor that really complete the atmosphere but usually go unnoticed. Also her tits jiggled and that was crazy. The only bad thing was how annoying Dominator was most of the time, sometimes she was fine but the quirky shit got grating and the "i'm the baddest badass EVUR" too.

Because, as has been stated before, it's been way too long since we had a character who was as optimistic and helpful as him.
I don't know, it feels like 80% of protagonists in cartoons right now are either naive optimists or quirky optimists.
It'd be nice to get a couple more Dan Vs characters in the mix.

My only issue is that they made him a bit too naive sometimes, like genuinely mindless, but it wasn't often. Plus, they started treating it less like naivety and more of a wise "everything works out in the end" mindset, like even if he died doing something he would die trying to help someone. I think whatever was coming in Season 3 was going to reflect more of his inner workings. It's a fucking shame, I liked seeing him have challenges and being aware things aren't perfect in Season 2, but Craig and a few writers have said S2 was about testing Hater, and saying S3 would be testing Wander implied all off his challlenges in Season 2 were just the surface of what he'd be going through.
I'd also like to bring up it was a horrible idea to make his sadness over the top and wacky in The Flower, and that Craig shouldn't have been patting whoever that one girl's back was who did it. It was our first episode seeing Wander devastated and heartbroken, we had already had teary eyed water bowl cat mouths that flip around to a smile back when the show was more lighthearted, they should've taken it seriously. I'd probably think less of it if we had more serious moments with him being sad in S3 but that never happened.
Honestly I wouldn't have wanted the third season to focus on Wander, the main characters in descending order of importance should have been

Dominator was written well, but as a plot device. Her character was fine, but S2 was essentially just a prologue to it, a point to jump off to give her proper development. Season 3 should have focused more on Dominator as a character, put more emphasis on her flaws and personality traits and give her actual relationships with characters that affect who she is as a person (Wander and Hater, mostly).
A retread of S2 as a side story would blow hard because not only does Dominator need the spotlight, given her need for genuine development to succeed as a character, but also because it would have been one-note for her to just focus around trying to be evil again. That said, the idea would work well as an early S3 arc, but it should end in failure and provide Dominator with the suffering that she was supposedly going to go through.

Dominator has nothing left post-S2. She has nowhere to live, the entire galaxy is either Hater, Wander or wanting to have her head on a pike, she more than likely won't find any supplies or resources necessary to rebuild her shit in any meaningful capacity, and she has absolutely nobody left to interact with, negatively or otherwise. She gets to choose between losing all rational thought off at the border of the galaxy all alone, not pushing Wander away by assaulting him every time he comes near her, or getting to live in a badass spaceship with all the necessary components one would need to live a somewhat normal day-to-day life.
Hater, frankly, should send a lightning bolt through her skull, both for fucking him over like that and from an ethical standpoint. Imprisoning her and keeping her from a potential second coming and genocidal spree would be doing everyone else a favor and let her off easy.
She wouldn't HAVE to spend time with him, but what else would you do in her situation? You have to find some way to kill time. The Watchdogs would get boring after a while, and they're your only other source of potential social interaction.
Also the whole imprisonment thing is more a framework than a serious plot point; I'm sure Hater and Dominator would go out and fuck around across the galaxy before long, anyway, and I imagine she'd get her own living quarters and free roam around the Skullship
