Family

Yeah but what else
Aside from the voice acting and the animation and the humor and the characters

No love interest

>No love interest
>the sister's sub plot

>Your knuckles say 'Cobra'

The lifeguard.

Everything, really. You'd never see modern Disney put out adverts for movies that mocked or derided their own franchises today. Hell, in the recent MvC game they specifically said they couldn't show the Marvel heroes getting beaten up/taking damage cuz they were afraid that would somehow put people off buying it (and not that godawful collectors edition).

The opening. Pure kino.

Das rite

>That would be irresponsible! Unethical! I would never, EEEEVER... make more than one.

The fucking marketing campaign

it appealed to asians longing for cute characters

9/11 rewrites

I really really love how a disney movie had a 10 minute long prologue before the main title even shows up.

>>the sister's sub plot

Barely was there.

But almost every disney main is engineered to be cute anyway

This is all sorts of bullshit. Disney makes fun of the musical number shtick and classic Disney princess trope in all of their modern releases

cute, funny, touching, cool, elvis

formula for a perfect movie

All the voice actors just gave 110% in this movie. Nani sounded like an actual person would sound if their only family member left was in danger of being taken away. Jumba and Pleakly are just the goddamn tops, the way Jumba and Stitch argue near the end of the movie is priceless. Lilo sounded so fucking genuine in every line she had.

Everything. Best Disney film ever.

But Stitch is purposefully ugly by design.

The funny thing is that he indeed made more than one.

I wanna be friends with Lilo!

Stitch is basically the cutest you can get while still being technically ugly. He almost looks like a regular animal, he's rounded and furry, he's got big wet puppy eyes.
He's basically halfway between a dog and a koala. If they just wanted to make him ugly they'd have made him look like, you know, the alien genetic disaster he is. But he's the star of the show, and the goal is to make him ugly enough for the joke to work but still as appealing as possible for him to be sympathetic to the audience.

I could pull of a really good impression of Stitch when I was a kid then puberty struck.

good music and general theme

Why Chris Sanders' art look bad most of the time yet the film designs work so well?

Too bad japan ruined it with their awful sequel series, because xenophobic mind of your typical nippon can't enjoy watching anime with foreign heroine

Not even my favorite Disney movie but I think it is the best

Tasteful use of CGI in 2D.

We can thank Shrek for that, after the PATF fiasco , Disney movies became "self aware", starting with Tangled.

That's why it makes such a great disney world attraction.

This is one of the more underrated aspects IMO. Disney always has really fuckin good voice work, but the cast in this one was just fantastic.

I love the faces of the various Disney characters. It all has WHAT THE FUCK written all over them.

It was a era defining Disney movie. In the dead zone between the 90s and the 2010s it was a movie that not only succeeded but thrived. It came out in the right place at the right time

I wish the artist would just do porn
