That comic is supposed to be hating on P&F but it only makes me love the show even more.

Because every episode was the same, and people don't like things that are different.

Add in a few jokes referring to concepts outside of elementary to high school curriculum and you have yourself a show that appeals to children who don't know any better, adults who don't care what their kids are watching, and the folks in between who claim that because the show makes reference to Kierkegaard's supposed final words, it's a hidden sort of genius.

Sweep me up.

I bet you're fun at parties.

Kids appreciate dialogue-driven humor, fun wordplay, and banter a lot more than people realize.

You don't always have to throw in a butt or dumb :T face to keep the kids entertained.

>>butt or dumb :T face to keep the kids entertained
But if that's all you have to do why would you do anything else?

insipid and safe. It was the beginning of taking the viwers by the hand and telling htem how to emotionally react to things, through repetition of hte same formula forever

>Perry = THE ONLY REAL REASON YOU WATCH THIS SHOW
Funnily enough, I actually got to watch Perry's sideplots cut as their own singular series on Disney XD's (not sure if UK or US) official YouTube channel; a time saver that was, though this sadly means reduced chances of Ferb and Candace & her mates - the rest of the cast was really boring as I recall them now.

Some people like a challenge and to get better at their craft. It's why not every artist just resorts to stick figure Steven Universe porn for followers.

Granted, those people don't work in TV animation because the level of inexperienced circlejerking scares them away to live-action or movie studios, but they exist.

Because the show it blatantly ripped off got axed, without even a continuation or spinoff or anything.

People starved for content can do crazy things...

I perform a puppet show based upon Plato's Cave allegory.

It was quality entertainment with likeable characters, solid humour, catchy music and visually pleasing art and animation. The formulaic plots simply served to create fun settings and backdrops against which the show could take place, the real appeal of which was the characters and their interactions. Doofenshmirtz and his pathetic life, his pointless schemes, his relationship with Perry and the fact that he's such a genuinely sympathetic character was the highlight of the show, but so was Candace's futile, obsessive struggle against an inexplicable but insurmountable cosmic force, the weird abusive paternal relationship between that bully and the Indian kid, everything involving the OWCA, etc. It was consistently well written with a mix of dialogue-based and visual humour and characters who were always fun to watch. It even made a fucking mute platypus a compelling character.

I suppose it had an appeal similar to Spongebob. Seeing as it didn't revolve around 'deep lore' and teenage drama and didn't rely on meme faces and random yelling for its humour, I can see why it wouldn't be appreciated at the moment.

>That comic
>Implying Doofensmirtz didn't carry the show just as hard as Perry.
Heresy

Is this copypasta?

I can’t tell if this guy is making fun of animators deflecting criticism, or defending them. Poes law at it’s finest.

>the real appeal of which was the characters and their interactions.
But everyone aside from Doofensmirtz and Perry were so formulaic and boring with their interactions. Only they had the freedom to be interesting,

>ripped off
Isn't Kim Possible just a ripoff of James Bond then?

Nah..i watch just for Candace.

Because the showrunners knew what they were doing

whoops didn't mean to reply to that

Bottom left is the outfit her mom wears in flashbacks isn't it?

You are one of the most autistic people on this entire board, and that is really saying something.

I dont know, at first i thought it was just dumb and i watched it out of boredom but it eventually got really annoying. Weird to think for that in the time of the late 2000s, this was the only cartoon at the time to have a big cultural impact.
