Any modern writer you’d like to see on x-men? I’d love to see Hickman have a long run with them. Avengers and New Avengers were great but were pretty messy towards the end. His Fantastic Four was great throughout. Shame about some awful art here and there.

- Mystique & Magneto have very small parts in the upcoming Phoenix movies, their story is fucking done, focus on Scott & Jean for the love of fuck.
- Vanessa & Domino have a lesbian sex scene in Deadpool 2 & both actresses get fully naked.
- New Storm series that has no BLM propaganda of any kind & is heavy on cheesecake. Her teaming up with Thor & Moon Knight to fight African/Egyptian gods would be nice.
- Pic related Storm outfit returns with those edits, especially the cleavage.

Okay, my favorite adult X-Men are Cyclops, Rogue, Magik and Sunspot. My favorite juniors are old X-23, Surge, Elixir, Armour and Hellion. Other X-related characters I love are Mr Sinister, Madrox, Strong Guy, Monet and Layla.

Three major things. One for the Academy of X team to come back in some way without turning them in cannon fodder or background characters. The second is for a few more 'weird' and 'sexual' stories which helped to make the X-Men the franchise so great. The third is related to the first and it is that the writers take more risks with the character lineups (Which may seem hypocritical given my favs).

Currently? Mainly the lack of direction and the fact that the writers are reducing a really interesting idea and concept to a basic formula of "mutants are hated and here are some really basic plots ripe for adaptation.". Also, how every writer seems to think that an X-Men team needs a Wolverine and almost have him as "central" character when he honestly works better as a supporting character.
Also, I know that no one asked, but I had three ideas for an X-Men run.
The first is a teen book which revolves around a few Academy of X kids along with Gaia and Random forming a superhero team, mainly by accident. In this book they go on a series of misadventures and gradually grow from a ragtag team of misfits into a proper group of heroes. The series is mainly a character driven dramedy about broken kids filled with the sexual undertones of the old Claremont books and picking up some old plot points/characters and adding my own twist to them while creating new ones.

The second is a Cyclops orientated book about him be resurrected and then distancing himself from the X-Men and find his own path/answers. This book looks at Scott's relationships, past and drives.

Going to expand on the Cyclops idea because I ran out of characters. In my hypothetical run, I would have him mentoring a group of damaged kids from the Initiative, the Institute and Avengers Academy in order to both save them and himself. Scott would also confront the mistakes he made and the monsters which he created as a result of his actions post M-Day, mainly in the form of Emma and Alex, but there would also be a few X-Kids/X-Men who were fucked over as result of his actions acting as antagonistic forces in his book. Sinister would also play a huge part in the book as an enigmatic foe/friend.
The third run is probably my most conventional one and is an X-Factor book which is a mix of all four major interpretations of the title. The team would have C-List lead by Cyclops, although Madrox would serve as Scott's voice of conscience as well as a challenge to his authority.
The idea is that after coming back to life, Jamie and Cyclops buy back the X-Factor brand back and start a detective agency for the supernatural and bizarre along with Layla. The book dives in multiple genres, not just crime/noir and action. Essentially it is a book where a incredibly different ideas/stories are told with only the main cast and general tone be the consistent thing.

The first book would take up the title of X-Ternals or Amazing X-Men. The lineup would be:

I agree with Wolverine is too mch used in every team. But he can be a main character, one that struggles with leadership. I thought Wolverine & the X-Men was a good run, even that Kitty ran mostly the school.
