This. Comic Frank would be boring as fuck in a tv format beyond episode 2. The novelty would wear thin fast and it would just become a puerile bloodbath. Netflix wants shows that will gain it recognition. Comic Frank wont do that.

It was enjoyable but not perfect by any means. They did that thing again where they end the main conflict and then decide to have 2-3 more episodes that nobody cares about. Save the riot gear for if they don't have Barracuda in S2.

It was like watching a B-movie thriller stretched into more than 10 episodes, with two episodes worth of actually watching Frank be the Punisher. If they can make a show out of a rejected Jason-Bourne script, then they can sure as hell make a show of just Frank wasting street scum.

We got a fucking generic action thriller plot stretched out over 13 fucking hours. You could have swapped out Frank with any boring template character and it wouldn't have affected the story in the slightest.

This show was almost perfect. I'm glad we didn't get the memetic psychopath. NetFrank is a broken man I just wanna give a hug. He makes me sad just thinking about him.
