Tourism is perfectly fine, and visas for education and limited visas for businesses/employment are fine in my opinion. By limited I mean either time limited or only X amount per year.
Well, a world of national socialist countries has not existed yet, and frankly, may never exist due to the fact that countries can't trade without tourism, and a country that is isolated will always die out due to lack of self motivation.
