I hear just as many men encouraging that behavior as I do women, and since you provided your anecdotal evidence I'll give you mine as well- from my side of things it feels like women are very pressured to be sexually active and attractive for men from a very young age. When I was in middle school every girl around me began dating and "hooking up", and it became a bad thing to be a virgin or to not have any dating experience. I was made fun of for or not being able to get into any of that, and it just made me think I had to read magazines for advice and actually work hard to basically make myself a better slut (not that I thought that at the time). I had several different boys get mad at me and call me a tease for not wanting to do anything more than simple kisses and holding hands. That wasn't women pushing me into that, it was men. I almost ruined myself for my future husband because everyone else made me think that I was the wrong, abnormal one and that hooking up, dating and having sex was normal and fun.
