Post yfw you realize the only reason USA became so successful is because it benefited from WW2 due to our close relationship with the West and the fact that we were far enough away for our industries to be safe from bombs. If we were right next to Europe during WW2 the USA would have been a failure. The only reason the USA has been able to continue to ride off that random gift is because we keep profiting off war. Ever since WW2 it's war after war and without that the US economy would not survive. USA can't survive without brown people or serbs getting bombed.

this has been obvious since WW2

The USA was the already the richest country in the world a century before WWII started.

This is a lie.

America has a divine right by God and some of us are well aware of that.

Yes america is great we will make it great again god bless america.

You are on to something. You played your cards right and it all kinda fell into your lap. Now you're so far ahead of everyone. Does it really matter that you didn't get there getting millions of your citizens killed?

Wrong

The US Economy exploding in the 1980s due to re and deregulating the Finance Industry and many large companies going public really made America so powerful.

By the 1960s most of Industrial Powers(France,England,Germany,Russia,China and Japan) had recovered from WW2 or far along in Recovery.

America is so powerful because we control the worlds finance and we protect the House of Saud

> implying that benefitting from geographic advantages is something to be ashamed of.

I posted this thread to highlight how capitalism had little to do with the major success of this nation from WW2 forward. This is just like how capitalists love to say how Norway only succeeds because it is rich in oil, has a small population, and is white. You capitalists love to put out excuses for why systems other than strict capitalism or pseudo-mixed economies succeed and I'm just giving you guys a taste of your own medicine.

Get your lies out of this thread. If the USA didn't profit from WW2 the Depression would have never ended and the USA would have went the way of the dodo. That was the determining factor in our success.

You just figured this out?

*drone bombs you*

MANIFEST DESTINY WHEN?

tfw no thicc Templar gf

What about cold war? After second world war, soviets were no joke. They were very much on par with the west. Soviet science launched the first satellite for crying out loud. If the capitalism is such a poor system, surely the superior socialist system would have prevailed.

It's true though, USA has been the world superpower since late 1800s, and was one of the largest world powers before then.

i vote we invade canada first, probably the easiest and will build momentum

based harry s truman and his bait + bleed WW2 policies

made this exact same point to my brother today OP. it sucks now that america is behind in almost all areas, like health and education

FUCK MANIFEST DESTINY

I never said capitalism is a poor system. I'm just saying it's not the most important reason for the USA's massive success after WW2.

No. We were A superpower back then, but not THE superpower.

Why would we invade?

We could just politely ask how many states they would like to become.

Britain France Russia Germany etc were smaller economically and militarily than USA
If that wasn't superpower status what is

Ah, you're right. What am I babbling on about. Usually people bashing America are raging socialists. After a while you go on auto-pilot. :)

Whatever definition you want to use, it woudn't have lasted if the USA was geographically closer to Europe in WW2.

>it sucks now that america is behind in almost all areas, like health and education
only artificially. when you're importing millions of subhuman brown people with 85 iq things tend to go to shit all across the board. spics also sit at a 50% obesity rate in the usa

Well, what about United Kingdom? I'm sure they would not have been the power they were historically if they shared land border with France for instance.

UK is close to mainland Europe as well, and while they were indeed bombed during second world war, it wasn't all that effective.

So had the US been close to Europe such as it was back then the end result would probably still been the same.

>Well, what about United Kingdom? I'm sure they would not have been the power they were historically if they shared land border with France for instance.
I agree, their geographic location played a part in their success.
>UK is close to mainland Europe as well, and while they were indeed bombed during second world war, it wasn't all that effective.
It seems like you're downplaying what happened to the UK because of WW2. It was a real turning point in their history.
>So had the US been close to Europe such as it was back then the end result would probably still been the same.
The end result for the UK was their precious british empire going the way of the dodo. I'm arguing similar things would have happened to the US

Americans could have bombed back in that case as well, their industrial capacity in addition to whom they may choose to ally themselves with ( in this case, Britain ) would have overwhelmed the Germans.

Funnily brits sold their empire to Americans mostly!

you are forgetting to mention 'to the victors go the spoils'. USA benifited from captured Nazi technology as well as the brain drain. The head of NASA during the moon landing was a former Nazi, for example.
