I have been an atheist my whole life, my family, workplace and the entire neighborhood is atheist, but I feel that there is a nihilistic chaos in me, like nothing really matters and my life feels to have no meaning. Yesterday I gave it a thought and decided that I should ease myself into Christianity.
How does one become a christian? Can I be saved if I sinned my whole life?

I have taken to praying semi regularly. Just learn the Lord's Prayer and customise the ending. It has brought me a massive comfort desu and injected some meaning into things for me.

The free will thing, I feel can be best explained in the idea of multiple timelines.
We are conscience on this timeline but we exist throughout past, present, and future all at once. Our conscience basically is obly viewing a cross section of reality and our greater selves.
We as a multidimensional being have free will but consciencsly it appears we do not. My free will is the fact I can make any decision and a timeline will stem from it.
