Can someone redpill me on this? Is there a single historian out there that agrees that Thanksgiving was the celebration of some brutal massacre of native americans?
Every year, painfully liberal triggly puffs share these kinds of videos with sad-looking natives explaining how white people are evil for celebrating Thanksgiving. Is there any truth to this?

The First thanksgiving was in saint augustine, sone by spanish settlers. Nothing to do with natives. As someone with Spanish heritage I find native americans talking about thanksgiving an offensive example of cultural appropriation.

Thanksgiving was originally in Spring and was established as a holiday of remembrance for those who died in the Civil War.
President Truman moved it to November after the great depression, as a way to stimulate the economy between Easter and Christmas, since there wasn't anything there until Thanksgiving was moved.
So it had absolutely nothing to do with pilgrims or indians.
I'm not doubting you, but what I'm really after in this thread are reputable sources, so that this can be laid to rest in my mind once and for all. It seems that there isn't that much concrete evidence out there, leaving room for retarded speculation that we hear of so often now in our anti-white progressive society

This whole anti-Thanksgiving trend highlights how liberals have learned nothing from Trump's election and how they will continue to lose support in the coming elections.
Thanksgiving is meant to be a time of looking forward -- coming together with your supposed enemies and trying to make a better life for everyone.

There isn't a single historian who looks at genocide or massacres at face value or "muh morals" and is reputable. Their entire job is to catalogue and explain events in history in the most neutral way except seeing as we are humans there is always bias. Ask a marxist, they'll say it's about us murdering natives, ask a patriot it's about the pilgrims sharing their bounty with the natives that kept them alive by trading seeds and teaching cultivation of said seeds, ask a Euro (usually) it's about American pilgrims surviving their expedition and managing to have a surplus of food for once rather than dying off or resorting to cannibalism. Never look at things purely for the negatives.

By the way, just for context, the natives explain how the TRUTH about Thanksgiving is that it was a celebration for when the Europeans would destroy another village. Then, Lincoln made it a national holiday while hanging 37 natives.
