He was an evil communist shithead that went after the white upper crust of cuba and sent Cuba back 100 years.

t. Cuban

Life was always shit for Cubans.
Castro came along with a big list of things he was going to do better than the last regime.
Upon coming into power he promptly through it all away and nearly caused World War 3.

Cubans were treated like niggers and slaves. pretty much like Jamaica and the virgin islands today. Castro rugged that up. he was brave and fought with his life for a better world. maybe it didn't work out but I respect it.

Worse than having an US planted president ?

They'd be able to own cell phones, new cars and have trade agreements with the US

threw*

No but the country clearly decided it wants to rule itself.

life before the revolution was workers being oppressed, cuba getting shitty trade deals, batista ruling as a u.s. puppet, and u.s. crimelords from the mafia using havana as a vacation spot

They would probably be flooded with multiculturalism and fags and hiv/Aids.

Dunno if having the new iPhone or a new Ford is a sign of a better life.

>nearly caused ww3

who brought nukes up first? oh that's right the u.s.

who put their boats too close to cuba? probably the u.s.

>life after revolution

well when you have a super powered neighbor imposing economic sanctions on you and that same super powered neighbor is trying to assassinate your leader, it might make your leader paranoid and life for average people worse.

Burgers with the le "ebil dictator oppreshun of own pepee "meme
*Sends killers 200times*
>Fails
>Fucks country with total embargo throughout 50years
Country still somehow somewhat alive
>This evil dictator starved his own people in Poverty!

Burgers.

>trade agreements with the u.s.

those were shit and designed specifically to screw the cuban people over. the u.s. wanted to grow sugar cane in florida. you can imagine how the u.s. undermined that

>Corbyn called him a "champion of social justice"
>Trudeau praised him, saying he showed a lot of "love for his people"

Canadian and British communist death squads and camps when?

> What was life before the communist revolution?
Capitalist country. ALL It's highways, electrical infrastructure and railway were all, and I do mean all, made before the "revolution". Castro couldn't build or do shit.

> Was he a dictator who starved his people or a good guy that resisted US supremacy?
Dictator, There is no doubt about that. Resisted US supremacy? Just wait.

>What was life before the communist revolution ?

larger economy than japan and italy

higher gdp than mississippi and south carolina

one of the highest levels of stock market capitalization in latin america

sort of mexican gulf version of las vegas. with mafia, hookers and casinos

The country that has an embargo by America has no aids, and the country that doesn't has aids.

I didn't say anything about him being a dictator, I said he was no different than the last guy save for his willingness to cause WW3 through his own stupidity.

>asking a right wing nationalist board if the United States ever did anything wrong

yea

castor troy was a complete faggot but JFK put nukes in Turkey which was why the USSR put nukes in Cuba

Cuba was just USSRs bitch
USSR got cucked by JFK too somehow...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but from what I understand, it was a banana republic: shitty working conditions, favoring US interests, corruption, poverty.
Then Castro came, implementen socialism, nationalized foreign companies, engaged in political repression (death, jailings), forced a dictatorship. Cuba got embargoed.
They have good healthcare, some people claim. Good alphabetization, child nutrition, no homelessness, some claim. On the other side, there are shortages of basic products and food rationing.
There is censorship, there civil liberties problems of course.
Millions left the country, people risk their lives with makeshift rafts.
Quality of living is better than Haiti for example, but obviously worse than other countries.
There are people whose lives improved, and many people who had the opposite happen to them. And people who expected an improvement and were dissappointed.
Some people will blame the living conditions on the embargo, other people will blame them on the dictatorship, others see the cause in both.

The embargo is between usa and cuba, not with the rest of the world, they have other trading partners

...

>What was life before the communist revolution ?
Worse, for most cubans at least.

>Castro did horrible things for his nation
>deserves praise

>Hitler did "horrible things" for his nation
>criticized, name banned in Germany, his surname is used as an insult and/or jokes

Hypocrisy, ladies and gentlemen

>>Castro did horrible things for his nation
like what?

>What was life before the communist revolution ?

Shit.

>Was he a dictator who starved his people or a good guy that resisted US supremacy ?

Both.

>Was life better before or after for cubanese people ?

It was better afterwards. But look at South Korea and other places that sucked US cock. It is likely that Cuba would be better in 2016 if they just kept sucking US cock instead of revolting. Eventually Bastista would have died and with enough protesting and human rights crap there would surely have been some improvements in the general standard of living.

Geopolitics is complicated.
