globalization is a wasted effort, since in the end when we do get mixed cultures and mixed language and open borders, the earth is so large that we will start forming different cultures again.

Back when we were all hunters and gatherers, we had one "culture", which was to hunt and gather. Artwork was the "same" in the way that there were no specific styles. As time goes on, people in different places with different enviroments will start to create their own styles and their own customs. It's the same with trying to globalize what we have right now. If all of earth end up having a universal culture, there WILL be places where they start forming new cultures; the only thing globalization will do is make sure the new cultures that will form will have something in common.
