Feverish fantasies of a dying species.
From the Dune series' well-considered conclusion on this topic...
"Thou shalt not make a machine in the likeness of a human mind"
I'd be up for getting a metal body. I'll probably be pretty old by the time it's possible, anyway.
What makes humanity special is its intelligence, not its bones and muscles.
Things are gonna get very weird. Staying organic may also become extremely risky.
It's inevitable, niggers.

Pol is christian board,so they are against spitting on the limitation humanity was placed with by God.Breaking the limits god has placed on us is no different than use claiming to be God.
Once you go full transhuman, there's no reason at that point to not just upload yourself into a computer. Then, once in that computer, just live in a simulation of a perfect world, where you feel constant pleasure.
Of course, with you gone, me and the rest of the religious normal humans will inherit the Earth. I might get around to turning off your simulation, thus "killing" you, but I might not. At that point, it's not like you're a human with a soul anyways, so why even bother with you, unless you start to use up too much energy.
I think the number of people who'd actually fully digitize themselves is considerably smaller than the number of people that would be content to be an organic brain in a robotic body.
you can have this shitty rock. im launching my cyberbrain into space.

Nah, nobody really believes in Catholicism in Europe, it's just a cultural meme here. Even priests don't believe anything literally, they think it's a metaphor.
Maybe in Mexico you're still backwards and believe in Catholicism literally. You'll grow out of it sooner or later.
wew lad
You can still become braindead even with a metal body
>tfw we will have Taylor Swift Robot waifu
this
I'm against letting them use human bathrooms.
Is tongue splitting a transhuman procedure or degenerate?
I want to impress girls with it.
Chek'd kek'd and rek'd.
I'm trading in my worthless flesh body as soon as possible.
This, tho brain implants will almost certainly be a thing.
The potential behind them is huge. Just being able to communicate with a computer without needing a keyboard will be enough for most people.
>I might get around to turning off your simulation
>implying the machine running my "simulation" won't be inside a giant battle mech ready to pulverize you puny flesh creatures the moment you come close
The Matrix is the endgame of transhumanism
no thanks
It really depends. Do we get a lifeless, soulless robot that understands what it says or does the same amount as Cleverbot (ie. 0 understanding), or can we actually reproduce consciousness?
I don't think that binary systems can do it ever, although we might get convincing AI with it. I won't doubt quantum computer too much, though.
In heaven, we will be granted new bodies. Christianity is a sort of transhumanism already. From man to son of God.
