Less shitskins on the moon

You can live anywhere in Canada, nobody just wants to because it sucks.

...

A) Canadian government is retarded

B) lots of that land is next to useless unless you have a massive colonization effort (ie huge greenhouses, stuff to supply said greenhouses), this won't happen because see A

In truth, Antarctica is just slightly colder than the avg surface temp on Mars. Why don't we colonize there? Same issue. Governments are lazy and unmotivated, climate change and Islamic conquest of the West will likely change this

this

Because that land belongs to the indigenous you white devil

So it's similar to Finland then?

>Lets eat at home
>Lets eat out at the restaurant

Which one of these choice make people more enthusiastic and thus give more money? Answered your question.

I mean you basically said it your OP, we can't live there. It's not financially worth settling that cold, bitter, wasteland.

Because the moon, despite the lack of air, water, food, warmth, etc, is still a more liveable environment than Canada.

you colonise Canada, you become Canadian

Colonise the moon, and you have an army of Moonmen!

What goes on here? Does anyone even live here? CAN you even live there?

Natives, industry, military

Kek, just remembered a good joke.
>What do you call one turkroach on the moon ?
One turkroach one the moon
> What do you call 10 turkroachs on the moon ?
10 turkroachs on the moon
>What do you call 1million turkroachs on the moon ?
A good start
>And what do you call all turkroachs on the moon ?
The solution.

Ive been to cambridge bay which is up there, its an industrial town populated mostly by na-dene and its a horrible, horrible place to get stuck

Pepsi gets it

The moon is more habitable than northern canada

Nothing good. Yes. Sort of--do you want to LARP being on Hoth in Star Wars?

>winnipeg
>okay

worst part is the clouds of man eating flies in the summer. I can endure everything else but that shit is just maddening.

Native tribes have claims.

You fucks on the coast have fucking NOSEEUMS
Good god those are horrible bastards.
We don't have em in AB.

It's a bunch of frozen rock.

There's some bored military patrols, lonely Eskimos, and the occassional weather station.

There's no industry up there and there won't be until/if global warming really takes off.

Is there a climate map of that region for 50 years time?

>Winnipeg
>not okay

The trees are pretty nice, particularly the oaks. Especially if you life along one of the rivers.

>you life

live* rather

The advantage of the moon is that it's not earth. It's highly likely that any event that significantly impacts life on earth won't impact the moon (or at least as much. So the moon is a more critical goal than the frozen wastelands of canada.

Mars would be better again but is logistically more difficult. The moon is a potential compromise.

TFW shitskins start immigrating to the moon once they see how good we have it

How about terraform Venus?
It's easier to lose an atmosphere than create one
Plus Venus has similar gravity to Easrth

speed up global warming. do your part!

We're burning cities and importing africans and refugees as fast as we can m8

Let me know when you come up with a terraforming method that's going to operate within human-useful timespans and which is doable within our current economic and technological means :)

It's called nuking the ice caps on Mars. It's entirely feasible from a technological standpoint, the only barriers are political.

We don't even have enough people to fill up the areas we already have, and no one wants to colonize useless tundra.

Except the stupid Eskimos.

On mars we have some options yeah but I was responding to someone talking about Venus :)

>Mars' electromagnetic field is shit thanks to its core being shit
Sure would be fun to deal with getting cancer by 20.

We might be able to induce some kind of core dynamo effect again

You call that a population distribution?

Because it's full of ice, just like Greenland or most of Russia.

We would have to remove all the savage natives first

There are still a lot of uncertainties for colonizing Mars. Gravity there is only 1/3 that of Earth's, solar energy even less so. Atmospheric pressure is barely 1% and the soil is rich in perchlorates, which can be toxic over long periods of time. At least people have been on the moon, and its close enough for support to arrive in a reasonable amount of time.

I heard that its actually very habitable just above the clouds on Venus. Similar temps and as long as you stay above all the acid clouds and have an oxygen tank, you don't have to worry too much about protection.

Australia would be a cool place to live except for the whole '30 million dollars for a 800 square foot house' thing and the gun control. And the asians I guess.
