The F-35 is not only an excellent platform, but the overall program cost by the end of its service life will be in the good to excellent tier.
The electronics suite and BVR capabilities alone make it an amazing tool. This isn't WW2 and we're not going to be dog fighting within gun range anytime in the near future. The battlespace has changed drastically in the last 20 years and you chumps have neglected to keep up with it.
Its ability to not only utilize modern AA and AG weapons, but to utilize near future ordnance and munitions is nearly unmatched.
