>Can Mars be terraformed?
no. too little gravity to hold the needed atmosphere.

>Will it declare independence from Earth?
yes. if there's money at stake, it will happen.

why would we terraform mars when we could expend that energy retaining viable conditions on Earth?

couldn't we just produce more atmosphere? Like harsher conditions? More dense?

>quietly pack all the white people in a night and ship them off to mars
>leave the dindus behind and kill the smarter ones
>remove their books and any source of knowledge they might use
>remove all technology that could be used to reach mars
humanities problems solved

...

It will most likely be claimed by the human race. Any other aliens that visit in the future will then have to go through immigration to get a proper visa and shit.

>Croatians will be left on Earth because they are subhuman balkan niggers.

well
at least we sacrifice ourselves
or clean up the earth and take over then come after you in billions (after we breed for 100 years) because we actually have smarter people who can do shit

No, Mars is geologically dead. It has no magnetosphere

Whoever is born on Mars will never be able to set foot on Earth because of the decrease in bone density and muscle mass.

Probably not. Underground facilities and bunkers to live in indefinitely are probably possible though.

The weak gravity would cause muscle wasting though, not to mention all the social problems of being cooped up all the time.

solar winds will blow your precious atmosphere into space. better resort to building domed cities.

they have to go back!

The issue is Mars has no magnetosphere. Solar rays literally blow the atmosphere off it.

after a couple of generations yes
but if we somehow increase the gravity on the planet (seeing how if we can create an atmosphere, it means we would be much more technically superior than now ) that wont be a problem

That takes a long time, it's entirely possible to add more than the sun can blow off.

Not yet it doesn't. Creating a magnetic core would be part of the terraforming process.

>increase the gravity somehow

Yeah I'm sure that will be easy lel

stop thinking in THE CURRENT YEAR
think 100 years in the future
what will mankind be capable of if we continue at this pace? (if we survive the nig nogs that is)

Do we have the technology to artificially generate a magnetic field strong enough?

Welcome to Venusville!

I'm sorry. I'm stupid and mixed up several things because my memory sucks. I am disqualified and it's actually the missing magnetosphere that's the reason for the loss of the atmosphere due to solar winds and the missing gravity only resulted in loss of gas because of asteroids.
At this point I am not able to say whether mars can or can not be terraformed.

Not currently.

>Can Mars be terraformed?
Yes, we have the technology to start the terraforming process right now. It would be a quite crude and long process, but it's possible. We would need to constantly sustain it though.

>Will it declare independence from Earth?
Only after it gets the necessary amount of production facilities and population. Of course they will be unable to produce everything Earth can give them, so it's more of a question of inventing a matter replicator or some kind of universal 3d printer. So yes, it will happen, but it won't be fast.

We should first try to terraform Australia into something habitable before we start talking about Mars.

>Can Mars be terraformed
Theoretically, yes; but it would take centuries before you see any changes.

The atmosphere would also need to be constantly maintained.

...

Mars will have to be an semi autonomous area. It will be too small and dependent to justify complete independence but because of physical distance there will have to be some kind of local assembly

it would literally be easier to terraform mars than australia tho

That is a very long process though. If we have the technology to produce an atmosphere on Mars, then we can maintain it.

Remember, Venus has no magnetosphere, but also has a thick atmosphere.

Nuke the core until its molten and flowing...

That is quite possibly the dumbest thing I've heard in months

What we do it bottle up and bring atmosphere from earth. Do that until you can breathe.

It's okay because the plants are always making more atmosphere so we won't run out.

Why don't we just colonize Mars with nothing but Australians then?

that would require more nukes than russia and america have combined tho

It would be easier to terraform Venus given you don't require technology that doesn't yet exist as you would with Mars.

>Can do shit
>Croatia
>In reality only does prostitution and crime like the other balkan shit holes
I often wish you subhumans were still behind the iron curtain.

All we need to do is bottle up "The air of London" and sell it to martians for 20 quid. Mars is terraformed and we are rich, win win for me

That...
Is actually genius
just like britbongs did to australia we should do to mars
get some hardcore criminals up there and watch them create cities and shieeet

>What's with islands? Get more land! what's with deserts? Get less sand!

...

You're assuming the earth isn't flat and that you can leave this snowglobe
That's where you fucked up

>implying
>>implying
Prostitutes here are top class and expensive as fuck...
and we have almost no crime except maybe bar fights or some shit
Also we dont have niggers, something you cant say

Your're retarded, do you know how many atmspheres that would require?

Space Marines.

Not really. Mars has an extensive amount of water underneath the surface. You can warm it up and control the atmosphere creation process with dropping asteroids and shit. Venus would require you to filter the whole fucking atmosphere, good luck doing that in the next few thousands years.

Do you miss Yugoslavia?

We can filter air. We can't create the gravitational or magnetic field that Mars requires.

for your plan to succeed we first need martians there. instead I propose sending earth's communists for they are known to produce a lot of hot air.

Come to think of it, we will need you Germans to set up the Mechanicum there

And we don't need to, atmospheric evaporation won't be a fast process even when talk in thousands of years.

1 Al Gore should be enough for the small planet

This. They're also be vegans and look weird as fuck, and have weak immune systems. What effect will the gravity have on their brains? We don't know.

I think the Martian people will be highly xenophobic and alien, given enough time they won't even resemble humans anymore.

no
it was okay if you wanted to live like a wage cuck

You do need to. It won't be habitable for humans otherwise, ie not terraformed.

I honestly don't know why but I chuckled.

It is possible. I watched a documentary film where one of the recent Mars explorers was marooned there and he was able to grow potatoes.

All those lighter colored areas are where water once was.

Kek

They'll be like the Helghast in Killzone. No hair, angry as hell, and pale.

In the bunkers couldn't you do something to simulate earth's gravity?

Because people will do whatever the fuck they want, not what you think they should do?

>no magnetosphere

No

Colonized maybe, but never terrformed

Matt 'potato-nigger' Damon.

>people not realizing a successfully colonized Mars would be perfect for them

You want a nation with controlled immigration? You don't get much better than another planet altogether.

sounds like a unit of measurement. "how many al gore do you suppose are there in a hot air balloon?"

Yep, freaky mole-people. Is this what you guys really want?

It's not just passive leeching you have to worry about, solar winds will literally blow your atmosphere away

>the greatest minds of humanity settle and start terraforming the planet
>some bullshit on earth happens (cyberhillary 3.5 declares war to the immortal czar Lenin-Putin hivemind and everyone dies)
>left to their own devices, trough the generation, the colonists refuge themseelves in their domes, and start venerating their technology as their saviour, for they have lost yhe ability to fully comprehend and replicate it

Pic related happens, AdMech fuck yeah

Hasn't even been a manned mission to the moon since 1972.

>iron curtain
Yugoslavia wasn't behind it
low quality b8 m8

>implying it isn't molten already
newscientist.com/article/dn11962-lab-study-indicates-mars-has-a-molten-core/

it should be taught in primary school what a dead planet is so this conversation isn't repeated endlessly into the future

why not just build a shield?

Yes, it can be terraformed but it'll take a while.

And yes, once they've gotten enough supplies to sustain themselves. Mars is way too far away for us to govern it. It is extremely expensive and timeconsuming to get people back and forth, so even if the new Martians decide to completely ditch the laws, rules and regulations we impose on them we have no way of enforcing them. Unless you want to invest billions of tax money into sending a group of soldiers on Mars that will likely fail on the mission then it's simply impossible to govern them from Earth.

it would take 1,000 to 5,000 years to terraform mars. that might sound like a long time for us mere mortals, but it's just a blink of eye on the galactic time scale.

As mentioned several times already, that is a process that takes millions of years.

The atmosphere is not going to be completely blown away the moment you establish one.

No. Eight billion people can't even terraform our own Earth.

Checkmate.

>build a shield
>ayylmao comes
>launches one torpedo
>breaks your shitty shield
>whole planet is now ded
yeah sure

>Unless you want to invest billions of tax money into sending a group of soldiers on Mars

>implying we won't build a fleet of interstellar battleships and start exploring a galaxy because of Mars' shitty rebellion

>terraform mars
>Elon Musk champions a multiculti team to establish first colony
>Sup Forums runs false flag campaign to completely ban white people from expedition
>liberals run with it and end up banning whites from planet completely
>relocate non-whites en-masse within a century to live there
>remaining shitskins are left to fend for themselves while now-hardened whites begin conquering the planet again
>build some bigass orbital defense lasers to blast their trade shuttles out of the sky
>send a nuke volley at them with Musk's head tied to the leading missile
God I wish

no
1 Mars is to lightweight to establish normal atmosphere. We should add mass (by hitting it with ice asteroids.
2 Core of Mars is dead and can not be replaced or reignited. Without spinning core you have no magnitosphere and UV and sun radiation will make surface inhabitable. And the planet will be very cold to live.

You can live under the surface, but it will be harsh.

you mean Poles?

Dude we're already halfway there as channers

But over those millions of years it's going to be stripped away. Yes, it would take a long time to strip a complete atmosphere away from Mars. But you're never going to get to that point. Every time you start getting gases up to usable densities they're just going to be hauled off into space and you're back to square one.

that's why you have mars moon Phobos defense guns! :D

>implying we aren't currently in the process of terraforming Earth into Mars

Almost, but smarter

> Implying it won't take thousands of years of dedicated street shitting to strip Earth barren of all life

No, if can hold atmosphere. It would probably be thinner than Earth's but that isn't a problem (airliners, for example, are pressurized to only a fraction of sea level pressure).

The bigger problem would be the slow loss of gas to the solar wind, but there are work-around for that on the time scale involved.

Because Earth is full of niggers.

more likely into Venus

>thousands of years
more like 5 generations if it continues at this pace

that's marsforming user

Prove it.

Living on Mars is a false meme. It has NO MAGNETIC FIELD (Look it up). That field keeps us on Earth from dying from magnetic storms, unlike Mars where you would die.

The Mars meme is for the cucked and perpetrated by NASA for funding.

>destroy books
kek, like they would bother reading them

Dude, if we had technology to produce an atmosphere on Mars, what makes you think we wouldn't be able to maintain it?

you are already at 60%
in 2090 its predicted you will be around 30% if it continues this way
also those indians will breed so much they will require more space and more shitting streets so they will make expansion wars
