Red pill me on the Dakota Access pipeline. Are the dirty hippies actually in the right this time, or are the masses being lied to by the media again?
DAPL protests
as far as i know, the tribe accepted $10 million and aren't complaining
>muh sacred land
Their protest is completely fraudulent.
its just a pipeline. whats the big fucking deal?
>Hippies
>Indians
No. Don't you compare our peace-loving people with those attention seeking idiots.
Transporting oil via a pipeline is much safer than other methods. Less chance for a spill from a pipeline than say a trail derailment or multiple truck crashes.
I remember reading somewhere that the pipeline doesn't even cross through their "Sarced Land" to begin with. Can't find a source right now tough, I'll dig around.
The original plan was to go through it. They then wrote up plans to go around it and the natives got mad because they couldn't charge the oil company for using their land anymore.
It's almost the exact same as it happens up here boys.
One or two native agitators while the remainder of the tribe just wants the cash.
The tribe accepts, the government drags its feet, and finally approves it.
The agitators get the word out. Enviro nuts and other low info rejects congregate.
Some agency, often Tides (I believe they ARE acting in this one) begins to pour money in. They drum up support using union paid thugs and other professional protesters, even from other countries.
Tides has been funded by George Soros on way too many occasions, look it up.
This is not an organic protest. It's not sacred land.
It's a 5th column.
Other things to note are the oil company offered to have 24/7 emergency coverage in case of a spill/incident and there are already 8 other pipelines under that body of water. The natives also want to charge the oil company money each month to use that pipeline.
