>Australian students have plummeted in the latest international maths and science rankings, with countries such as Kazakhstan, Cyprus and Slovenia leapfrogging us over the past four years.
>The latest Trends in International Mathematics and Science study, released on Tuesday, shows Australia dropping from 18th to 28th out of 49 countries in year 4 mathematics. Australia fell from 12th to 17th in year 8 maths and from 12th to 17th in year 8 science while remaining steady at 25th place in year 4 science.
>Education Minister Simon Birmingham said the disappointing results would form a key part of discussions with the states and territories about school funding for 2018 onwards.
>Dr Thomson said the results were particularly concerning because an increasing number of jobs require science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) skills.
It's because your government is bringing them over on planes. If you steal their planes, they'd have to bring them by boat, and everyone knows Asians hate boats. Just round up some friends and protest outside of an airport. I'm sure the Asians would rather stay in their containment continent than try to construct their own planes.

There's no incentive. Just have fun and be a butthead Chad in school, fuck all the hotties, then leave and get into selling real estate to rich gooks.

Because of this >We don't need it in our jobs hey! Why learn it??
I've argued this point with many an australian. Like, "What do I need to know fuckin pythagoras for, it's bullshit mate!"
It's about abstract reasoning. If you're anti-maths, its because you don't want to learnt he ability to reason. Easy.
Justin Wood
In a world full of retards reason is very overrated.
Kayden Bennett
It's our typical school curriculum now. We used to teach maths and science, now we teach white guilt, patriarchy and you, gender studies, etc. There's just not enough hours to do both indoctrination and real learning.
Isaac Long
Working class mentality truly is cancerous
Brayden Adams
Its because our education sucks shit. >Closes down Primary schools because the government think people will move out west >People actually start moving into the city "Who would of guess?" >All public schools now overflowing with kids
Holy fuck I wish I was Swiss sometimes.
Ian Price
>I never tried in school and did easy subjects >hardest math I learnt was probably calculating interest >got in to the best uni in my state to study accounting >mfw Probably has something to do with the ridicolous amount of influence university's have here making it as easy as possible to go through uni. Most people who finish school go straight to getting a degree.
Gabriel Campbell
School teacher here. The reason scores are dropping is people don't give a fuck. Parents don't value school, learning, intelligence or any sort of aspiration to better oneself through education, and pass that mentality along to their twelve fetal alcohol syndrome bogun half coon children. I can't get the kids in my class to give two shits about education, learning, self improvement or their own future. They lack empathy and civic awareness and care only about the latest shitty song trend and making sure they have the newest phone to smuggle into school to watch vine compilations and funny cat videos on. Only a fraction of my students are functionally literate or numerate. Simple calculations like "What's five take away four?" stump some of these ten year olds. They only engage in any sort of learning or thinking for the few hours a day theya re in my classroom. Other than that they are just in the way at home, ignored by parents and family who waste as much time on youtube chasing the newest devices as they do. The Jews work is nearly complete here.
David Walker
Honestly, this was how it was when I went to primary school. But I noticed as the years grew more and more stopped caring,
Andrew Murphy
I've worked at a school as a student teacher at Melbourne Uni before dropping out and it's mainly because kids don't give a shit about learning and fail at problem solving.
I legitimately had a kid ask me how to access a link and this was during the 2nd semester at a school that was using laptops.
Logan Wood
-Educators are horrible at their jobs, care more about feelings than knowledge. -Asians, poos, etc come from a country where they are basically threatened into to doing well at school or else. -WELFARE.

thank fuck I was interested in cool stuff like planes and videogames
Michael Evans
It was how I was when I went to school too, although maybe not that bad. About 10-20% were intelligent, 30% odd were adequate, the rest were maggots.
It's not education that's the problem. It's the work place. Maths type jobs pay not that much more than mentally much easier jobs. So it's basically communism.
Unless that changes then us not doing well at maths isn't a problem at all. If you had a little girl why would you punish her with calculus if she's just going to go into HR.
Benjamin Davis
entirely this desu
Ian Martinez
Because our government (both sides) would rather import shit into our population than put money into science and education
Lucas Nguyen
>Educators are horrible at their jobs, care more about feelings than knowledge
Maybe at the university levels or in big cities, but us poor cunts out in the sticks do the best we can with what we're given. I've worked in at least 40 schools in my career, and I rarely meet a teacher who isn't gutting themselves to do the best job they can by the kids. There's always a few shitcunts that just coast, but the rest of us didn't become teachers for the salary.
I taught a kindergarten class out west a couple of years ago. Lil abo kid came to school, never wore shoes before, never read a book before. We had to show him how to hold a pencil and make marks on a page, forget about actually writing. We had to show him how a book opened, what pages were and that the little squiggles were called letters and they go together to make words. The kid was six years old already. He has no chance. He'd be in high school now and I guarantee he is illiterate, truanting and forgotten about.
You're partly true. I have to teach ethics, values and morals to soulless demonspawn kids that will just as likely rob me in a few years. That should be the parent's responsibility to teach, but they are even worse themselves and have no interest or capacity to do so.
David Lee
>Lil abo kid came to school, never wore shoes before, never read a book before. We had to show him how to hold a pencil and make marks on a page, forget about actually writing. At the risk of sounding like a libtard, I can't help but feel sorry for people born in shitty situations like that and to parents that are absolutely niggery to the point of scorning education and bettering themselves and forcing that perspective on their child. Cunts like these should have their kids forcefully removed from them.
Benjamin Sullivan
I remember how much of a shithead I was in highschool and threw any thought of becoming a teacher out of the window. I could not have imagined trying to discipline myself.
My temper would have gotten me jailed.
Christian Rodriguez
Alright fine, I'm too hard on you. Parents are the real problem, they don't give a fuck. Mine were the same. I'm not going to say they are entirely to blame, but they put me and my siblings in the cheapest school and then wonder why my brother and I work in factories and my sister has no job. Dad is a workaholic who cares about his job first and foremost and Mother is a lazy stupid cunt.
This has been a problem in this country for years. Parents expect the government to raise their kids. That's why we are a nanny state that bans anything as soon as some dumb fuck kid hurts himself with a firework because his parents weren't doing their job as parents.
Parker Morales
>Cunts like these should have their kids forcefully removed from them
I don't disagree. The opinion was often stated out west that if any of us teachers could foster these kids away from their families for even a few months, half a year maybe, we could set them straight. Of course libfags get all 'stolen generation' on you.
I have good and bad days. Been sent to sensitivity training more than once.
Henry Brooks
Thing about Abo's is that they don't want to participate in society. They are happy getting handouts, but fuck whitey.
I can understand where they are coming from but if you don't want anything to do with us, don't take anything from us either.
Gabriel Johnson
Highschool Head of department here... a lot of teachers are just there to get paid, and most of them are social wash-ups; it seems that most of the teachers I know were like the annoying kid at school who no one liked and their personas haven't changed, they literally can't engage with the kids (especially older grades). The students seem more switched on than the teachers.
Brandon Turner
Out of 100 teachers, how many are men?
Lincoln Robinson
>endless population growth >more jobs for construction/any trade >can start earlier >basic education required >same pay >??? >omg why aren't people taking loans and going into debt to get a job pajeet is willing to do for the same wage a labourer gets???
Education is also a problem, Australia has a very commie view on education. They would rather everyone passes some kiddie maths than have a few spaz kids get hurt feelings.
David Ortiz
Yeah that's the worst part of the white guilt around the Stolen Generations. The inability to actually help kids that are growing up in shitty, negative and education hating abo families and put them into supportive families where they'd be brought up right.
I don't hate abos because they're black, it's just their overall culture is frustrating, self-fulfilling and self-destructive. It's like a bucket of crabs only filled with more dickish crabs.
Oh yeah I've definitely seen that mentality. It's pretty disgusting all-round and that mentality only leads to the squalor, self loathing and crime in their communities. Abos really have to step up as a whole and embrace the opportunities and education they're given instead of whining about muhsacredlandnoonga.
Asher Clark
>sensitivity training See? That right there would've sent me off the rails.
I used to work with an Afhani-Candian in North Sydney. Dude was muslim and I had no idea for the longest time. We used to joke around, insulting each other in a mock Arab accent. One of the bitches in cubicle across from us (all Aussie, my age) got their panties in a twist and told HR.
They tried to make me watch a diversity in the workplace video and I fucking flipped my shit. They called my manager and he brought my mate with him and they had to explain that we were only mucking around with each other and he was cool with it.
Everyone was surprised at how I took it, me being the only Aussie in the situation. HR thought I'd just quietly accept the bullshit they were trying to feed me and play ball.
Ryan Brooks
> I rarely meet a teacher who isn't gutting themselves to do the best job they can by the kids. There's always a few shitcunts that just coast, but the rest of us didn't become teachers for the salary.
What you say sounds noble, but as a fellow teacher this is bullshit. It's like a Hollywood actor who has to pretend that what they do is somehow important on an existential level till the point they believe they're the saviours of humanity. Teachers are forced to make the job seem more than just "about the money" because they need to justify the living hell they find themselves due to lack of career opportunities.
Asher Thomas
Primary school 20/100 Highschool 55/100

Now I know why aussies create so many Blacked threads.
David Ross
That's because our averages are fucked due to importing all these fucking Somali's. My mate has kids which have had to transfer to a private school because they will get worse marks being in a school with them. We have a ranking system based upon curves so a normal white kid would be on a A- just because these somali kids are retarded.
Then when you put in into perspective of other schools their aggregated score goes down so they get a lower ATAR or OP because of it.
Aaron Hernandez
aren't they putting philosophy into the curriculum yet?
Josiah Brown
you know that is just the north of us. The closest country i think
Jordan Williams
I wouldn't worry about it. Our schools are safe havens where children of all creeds, colours and genders can thrive without the pressure of being forced to compete.
Kevin Perez
its actually just being sarcastic. Any cunt knows if they want to be tradies they need to be good at maths
Austin Clark
Changing to the national curriculum was obviously going to strain more kids than it helps in the short term but long term we should be fine.
Sebastian Thompson
>Any cunt knows if they want to be tradies they need to be good at maths
You'll be surprised at how many dumbfucks who want to be tradies go "fuck I have to actually do critical thinking and problem solving" when they go to TAFE and then promptly drop out of TAFE.
Chase Collins
Tradies don't really need to be good at maths.
Landon Nelson

the fact is most people are like this, and it's mainly because of the garbage media
I'm curious though, do you stick all the kids (including special needs) in one class or do you put all the smart kids in one class so they can actually learn something instead of going at a snail's pace
Andrew Rodriguez
Yeah, they should get that shit out of schools. Make kids learn suetterlin cursive and only use computers after they've successfully completed nand2tetris
Lucas Phillips
Because we give all our kids, mainly from low income families, enough money to live comfortably doing nothing.
Isaac Kelly
depends what field you go into. If you work in a fab shop your boss would just draw up the job and let you work it out yourself.
Tbh tradies started to get lazy and want the draftman/engineer to put work out everything for them on paper before handing out the job
Bottom line is they just need to know the formulas.
Jayden Perry
BRING BACK THE CANE!!
Connor Williams
Other than building apartments to sell to chinks, what is there to do anyway?
Adrian Nelson
Yeah remembering a few formulas and measurement isn't really math. Sure there are a few trades you need to know about math like mechanics with gear ratios but honestly if you become a mechanic you are a fucking retard and should probably kill yourself.
David Brooks
Maybe my year group was lucky..most of the kids were average. They didnt seem to struggle. This is going to sound like I'm jerking myself off but I was one of the smart ones (not the smartest, not even the second or third but I was top 5).
Of course there were idiots, there always is. One kid that I've known since primary school coasted at the bottom, went to uni for a year, got a chick pregnant, dropped out of that uni and became a PE teacher. But my year wasnt full of them.
Josiah Williams
Because slavs and kazakhs probably didn't waste time on diversity, social justice and art lessons.
It's really out of hand at university and tafe, study something useful and you will still be forced to waste time on mandatory SocJus and unrelated workplace safety crap.
Lincoln Lee
My school of 30 teachers, three are men and one is about to be promoted to an deputy role in another school. All the conversation in the staffroom is about either: 1. pregnancy/giving birth 2. periods/menopause 3. food 4. holidays 5. renovations 6. what idiots their husbands are
It's pretty bleak.
>What you say sounds noble, but as a fellow teacher this is bullshit. I'm not saying my experiences have to be yours, so why are you saying yours have to be mine? Any chance you're a high school teacher? Many of them I've worked with and met seem to just teach because they don't know what else to do or have no other options.
I work in primary schools and I can count the number of lazy coasters who don't give a shit about the kids that I've met in ten years on one hand.
>I'm curious though...
Unfortunately in the same class I have a 10 year old doing work 2-3 years above her grade in the same class as kids older than her who read at a year one level. It's criminal, but it's a numbers game, the student to teacher ratio, number of rooms in the school etc. All part of life in the public schools system.
Austin Morgan
Not stupid. Just dumbed down by the education system and mass media. In China, they haven't been brain washed by the effects of Cultural Marxism so they still have a commitment to traditional education methods.
Aaron Ramirez
>drops out >implies that the issue is that people are not dedicated enough
Liam White
> I'm not saying my experiences have to be yours, so why are you saying yours have to be mine?
You're right I'm just apathetic about the whole situation. You can probably guess I'm high school
Alexander Morgan
I am currently studying a masters of teaching at UniSA in Adelaide...
Every person in my course is trying to become a science (biology or chemistry) or a PE teacher. I'm one of the only guys who can do physics and mathematics along with languages.
What you describe is obvious in the academics and it is passed off on the students and it does seem to brainwash a lot of students into thinking that feelings are more important than knowledge. A lot of the people (roughly one-third) in the masters program are a part of the LGBTI+ community... I know, it's not a truly horrible thing but these are the people that I am competing with and they're generally pushing their ideologies on everyone in the course, I couldn't imagine them in a classroom in the future and the students that they would produce. We actually have three people who are transgender in the course for fuck sake.
Why does education attract all these fucking weirdos?
>Wanting a career change after experience is dropping out
If choosing not to deal with 12 hour working days, shitty parents and kids who can not reason themselves out of a paper bag is considered not dedicated enough then consider me guilty as charged.
Carter Mitchell
indoctrination obviously
They are spreading out from melbcuck. into other cities planting their seeds funded by soros.
Jaxson Rivera
>You can probably guess I'm high school
My condolences bro. You guys have it ten times harder than us. At least my kids like me 9 days out of 10. The shit you have to put up with would wear anyone down. Stay strong edubro.
>Why does education attract all these fucking weirdos? They think it's an easy wicket that pays well (it doesn't, if you factor in the overtime and weekends you hardly get paid any better than the average wagecuck) and because the media always bangs on about the teacher shortage they reckon they'll get a job easily. There is no teacher shortage except right out west where no one wants to live. If anything there are too many teachers in metro and highly populated areas. The hiring system is hyper competitive (over 300 applications to a single position) and nepotism runs rampart. I've lost out on full time positions to abos three times; they get the job over me just because they are black, and every time they've been absolutely shit at it. They try, they care, but they are fucking rubbish.
A lot of the people in the course fall into the categories of:
>mid-life crisis senior students >Fresh graduates who realised the market is shit for their degrees >People who got graduate jobs but got chewed out from the environment >people who are dumbasses and think they would be fantastic teachers (internationals)
Or in my position
>Not wanting to do a phd in mathematics and would rather have the safety net of permanent employment in education
Juan Hernandez

that's what I thought the one size fits all approach is so wasteful and has to end
suddenly every teacher needs to be an expert on special needs for the autists, instead of just putting them in a special school with teachers who can focus on them
are you still teaching the kids that boys and girls are different, or have we totally lost?
would you personally send your children (hypothetical) to a public school or would you rather home school?
Luke Reyes
> They think it's an easy wicket that pays well (it doesn't, if you factor in the overtime and weekends you hardly get paid any better than the average wagecuck)
I get 3 months holidays... You're right on everything else.
If you're having trouble getting a job, some tips; try not to settle for state schools fucking ever. Do supply work at private/independent schools and build a relationship with the staff. After a couple years of supply and networking, I scored a position and now hold down HOD in a private school
Grayson Carter
What would be really cool is creating a free open source home schooling curriculum, along with messageboards and other social stuff
education really doesn't need to cost as much as it does, there's no shortage of good educational content on youtube
Eli Peterson
>>are you still teaching the kids that boys and girls are different, or have we totally lost?
The trans agenda is making its way in, but I'm constantly redpilling my kids on all manner of stuff. Had the kids cheering to clips from Zulu as the Redcoats slaughtered the zebra fuckers. I challenge them every time they try to use libtard thinking or repeat the shit they hear their numpty parents say (got them all pro Trump now) and constantly mention the legitimate and provable differences between men and women.
>would you personally send your children (hypothetical) to a public school or would you rather home school?
I wouldn't have trouble sending my kids to a public school because I know some good results can come out of there, and both myself and my wife are teachers, so any shortfalls would be made up at home. I went through the public schools as a kid and I turned out alright. If we have as many kids as we are planning she's going to stay home and home school them, it'll just be easier.
>If you're having trouble getting a job I've been teaching ten years, never even got an interview for a job. It's an insane sector to compete in. Thanks for the advice.
Aiden Wright
it doesn't help how fucking retarded the students are and how much they just don't give a shit. I can understand the kids who wanna be tradies but 90% of the time they're just cunts who make everyone else's learning experience a fucking pain in the ass.
The kids who actually want to learn out here in the bush are 10% of the population wheras the other 90% are abos who are forced into it, whores who like to get fucked by their boyfriend of the week, the aforementioned inevitable trade kids who think they're better than everyone actually trying, and the all around lazy fags who just show up to hang out with their butt buddies.
The government keeps trying to get kids into learning with fancy and expensive tech but it doesn't help at all.
>Rudd government introduces the "every kid gets a laptop scheme" >everyone is fucking astounded and happy that they have their very own laptop to use in class to make everything easier >over time people stop using their laptops because they're too retarded to touch type and use powerpoint/word/excell and just go back to writing by hand >most people still using their laptops are just using it to watch youtube videos in class and fuck around instead of actually working >retards are breaking them because they don't care about them >school gives them a free replacement anyway because who gives a fuck >"lol user why are you using that laptop, you're such a nerd haha"
Fuck these people. Normally i would be complaining about chinks and pajeets infesting australia but at least they have somewhat of a modicum of work ethic. 90% of the fags i knew at school that never gave a fuck ended up becoming skanks doing casheir work or just tractor drivers who smoke weed and hoon around whenever they get bored.
Lucas Campbell
Don't you parse students into streams over there? I was classmates with a lot of bogan ass cunts before I moved up streams. Once I moved up, my classmates were national-level achievers, which pushed me to do better.
Jacob Russell
>he hiring system is hyper competitive (over 300 applications to a single position) and nepotism runs rampart.
One of the things that I have been doing is networking through the professional development seminars and meetings that I can meet other teachers. A lot of the time, I do hear about jobs going in schools that aren't advertised yet, so next year, I would definitely get onto that again as I have made contacts with a few of them.
>If you're having trouble getting a job, some tips; try not to settle for state schools fucking ever.
I was thinking of heading anywhere, the more red-pilled the better I suppose. State schools and schools in metropolitan areas seem like a drag and I can understand why the turnover of teachers is something like 30% within 5 years.
Juan Bailey
It is a problem of progressively worsening parenting over generations, the current generation being raised on instant gratification and feel-good impractical educational standards. As a high school maths/physics teacher I can tell you in the last 10 years it has become much harder to teach students given the social climate of this country and value parents place on education.
Asher Evans
Papua-New Guinea?
Aren't they Christian?
Mason Davis
> My condolences bro. You guys have it ten times harder than us. At least my kids like me 9 days out of 10. The shit you have to put up with would wear anyone down. Stay strong edubro
Appreciate the support, the feeling is mutual; HS is a mental battle but I'm lucky to work in private, the state system is a lot tougher. Glad you got the little guys while they still have some vitality and innocence. When I did supply at a k-12 they put me on grade 3 once, it was like nothing I ever experienced haha.
Xavier Miller
No your scores are going down because you've imported so many asians and kebab Those countries have passes you because they figured out how to cheat the system like most nations have any lie about their numbers now
Thomas Edwards
They're headhunters you toothpaste cunt
Justin Young
Just as a general question with the quality of teachers being mentioned.
Do you guys do differentiation for your classes, or treat it as a one size fits all approach?
Personally, I was doing a lot of it on placement and it was fantastic to see some students with little self-efficacy take on a more challenging task because they were able to understand the first task and explain what they were doing. Which was in a physics class.
Christian Cook
>What would be really cool is creating a free open source home schooling curriculum, along with messageboards and other social stuff >education really doesn't need to cost as much as it does, there's no shortage of good educational content on youtube One thing that is needed is non commercial versions of software being made easy to access or government helping fund open source alternatives. There's too much science and engineering software that is $5000+ per license but free at uni. Want to study it yourself? Can't even pirate them because they're obscure if you email them they just say fuck off and don't want to deal with anything besides large corporations.
Jayden Jackson
>DURR LET'S MAKE ALL KIDS USE IPADS
Damn right. This guy knows.
I remember when the schools first started with that bullshit and I had to wonder if apple was bribing the government somehow because that shit doesn't even make sense.
>you need an ipad >btw you also need an external keyboard :)
All they do these days is stick kids onto those stupid games like reading eggs. The teacher-child interaction goes down to the level of timmy being too fucking retarded to remember his login details, even though they are LASTNAME1234 because timmy doesn't even know his fucking last name.
I see kids with a fucking card with their logon details, yet they are still too dumb to figure it out. They can find their way to minecraft videos on youtube in a flash, though.
Anyway, the curriculum confuses the shit out of me, too. That strange way they try to teach kids to count yet almost none of them seem to be able to figure it out. Everything has changed none of the parents have a clue how to help their kids either, and the teachers do NOT accept "outdated" methods, apparently.
There a lot of other shit that boggles my mind as well, like all the multicult rubbish being shoved into their heads even though hardly any of them are competent in the main 3. It's very important to learn African dancing (compulsory btw, also cost $20 per student for some white chick to come in pretending to be african for a week).
Kids are fucked. I don't envy those little shitcunts.
Kevin Scott
>I was thinking of heading anywhere, the more red-pilled the better I suppose.
Head out west m8. I did three years out there, came back with a shitload of savings, a wife, two cars, two dogs and a house deposit. You can't help but become a better teacher, after working out there anything on the coast is a fucking breeze, work is more plentiful out there, I worked five days a week every week, especially if you're a bloke, and you'll have plenty of m8s to lament how shit abos are. Talking racial differences is as redpilled as they come.
>the state system is a lot tougher. I did a few months at a state HS, it was like what I reckon working in a prison must be like. That constant feeling of unrest, just barely keeping the lid on a boiling pot, it felt like shit could explode at any minute. I hated it.
You have to differentiate in the primary system. if you don't, or you do and you can't prove it, you'll get the boot. You can't teach and not explicitly and intentionally differentiate.
Can verify all this.
Brayden Taylor
>I challenge them every time they try to use libtard thinking or repeat the shit they hear their numpty parents say (got them all pro Trump now) and constantly mention the legitimate and provable differences between men and women.
That is great to hear, maybe we need a 'redpill rating' for schools
>I went through the public schools as a kid and I turned out alright.
so did I, but the brainwashing never stuck for me so it's not the common route, I am not surprised at how my peers turned out, they weren't able to free their minds
but today's schools are very different, the culture is different, there's barely any educational content on tv, all the kids are playing something mindlessly simple like minecraft or pokemon go, how can any parent be surprised when their kids end up as underachievers or SJWs or whatever degeneracy comes next?
Jeremiah Hernandez
>I was thinking of heading anywhere, the more red-pilled the better I suppose. State schools and schools in metropolitan areas seem like a drag and I can understand why the turnover of teachers is something like 30% within 5 years.
Bro, hand out resumes to independent and private (just for supply)... Catholic schools as well are better than state but are pretty bluepilled which is unfortunate. The most redpilled schools are the independent "Christian" colleges, these guys are contrarian and see the culture as enemy number one. You will need a reference from a church pastor or priest, but once you get your foot in, befriend the staff and it will pay off my man.
Carson White

I'm somewhat surprised on how similar the situation of education system is between kikeland and Australia.
The main difference is what happens afterwards, as the vast majority of kids at 18 go to the army afterwards.
And only then they usually begin to understand they dun goofed.

High school maths/physics teacher here. Not a BA either did computer science. All my fellow teachers with a small handful are teaching subjects they cannot handle. How do we fix this problem of kids raised by indifferent iPhone/facebook parents who think 1 teacher in a class of 25 students can act as parents, educators and law enforcement? Help me

Anywhere specific out in West? or Just avoid Perth? I was looking at Geraldton, or Mandurah to be honest.
Cheers, I'm baptised as a catholic (don't follow it), but could obviously fake being christian to get the church pastor, etc.

It's because our education system is fucking retarded. Don't blame the kids, blame the government ffs.
Take a look a Finland's Schools >Less school hours >Homework is extremely rare to be given >Teachers are made sure they are actually good, helpful and care >They don't start until they're 7 >75 Minutes of 'recess' (break) >Finnish teachers get paid alot
Their school system in Finland is amazing, and they come out with the TOP students in the world. Not even kidding, just look it up for yourselfs.
The kids are too fucking stressed, and the constant school bullshit really drags em' down
Chase Brooks
they also dumbed down the curriculum for high school math/physics a lot, so that first year physics at uni have a 50% pass rate
I wonder if it's just a result of stupidity when designing the new HS curriculum, or greedy unis raking in tuition fees

> subbing shit into formula's > "math"

Compulsery indeed, but the nationwide recruitment rate (post highschool/18-19old) stands at like 53 to 55%. Males and females combined.

Well in the classes of my masters degree...
We have about 15 people who can 'teach' mathematics, but have taken 2 second year mathematics classes at most and completed engineering degrees or never touched actual maths.
These people said that they were scared to even attempt teaching specialist mathematics or physics. Yet they're here doing a masters degree faking it till they make it, I suppose.
