If I may butt in, a pretty good example of modern fascist economics is the nordic economies. Low corporate taxes, allowing businesses to succeed, thus benefitting the nation. High personal taxes, allowing the state to have the resources to give its people high education and low poverty rates. The state hand in hand with businesses to ensure a stable economy.
Granted, the other 2/3 of fascism, nationalism and authoritarianism, are lacking in the nordic states, and that's clearly hurting them today with both the migrant crisis and their fear of Russia. But we can see how a fascist economy would likely work in the modern day.

Military youth programs and paramilitary organizations to indoctrinate and strengthen the future generations, a stable meritocracy with anti-corruption systems in place, genetic engineering to cure physical and mental diseases (I wouldn't be comfortable with any eugenics beyond that, user), a strong sense of nationalism and unity to promote service to the state, a promotion of religion and censoring of degeneracy to keep the population on the straight path, and a coalition with the other nordic states for mutual defense and trade. This is the greatest challenge facing modern National Socialism. Sadly, I don't see a way for it to be implemented without segregation of lesser races, or straight up deportation. The people that are multicultural citizens already would balk at their rights being taken away, but for the good of the national identity, that's what needs to happen.
I highly doubt true National Socialism would work in America, it's too far gone as a shitfest marxist melting pot. I can see it working in some European countries though.
Even still, the situation could easily get bad enough in America for some kind of revolution. It would be nationalist in nature, not necessarily racial, but it would ultimately end in racial divisions. Feel free to ask me to elaborate. This is one of the toughest aspects of NatSoc.

Fascism can work, because fascism doesn't have any racial ideology attached to it. But National Socialism, which is a variant of fascism with a strong racial view, would never work in the USA and South America without massive deportation, segregation, enslavement, or genocide efforts. It is for these racial reasons that I prefer non racist fascist ideologies instead, such as Mussolini's fascist Italy or Plinio Salgado's integralism.

This I can see Fascism working pretty well in America. There are already some aspects of it present. National Socialism is very different from Fascism though, and I doubt it would work without massive changes in America. Fascism could work in America, but it would have to go one of two ways. Either we return to our roots, massively decrease the federal power of the government, and try implementing fascism on a state by state basis, with state pride taking place over national pride. Basically a confederacy of 50 individual nations with economic and military agreements, instead of one united nation.
The other is getting rid of most of the Constitution entirely and just going all out fascist on a national level. My main problem with this is that fascism largely relies on strong national identity to work, and Americans national identity more or less revolves around things like small government and the Constitution.

I think the first way would be much more successful and garner a lot more support in America that the latter. There is, after all, already a very large amount of pride that people feel for their individual states and I think that giving the states more power is probably more in line with the original idea of the U.S.

Marxism is about removing individual identity, such as race, ethnicity, national identity, etc. National Socialism's core is about pride in one's race, heritage and people. Marxism creates unity by removing differences between people. NatSoc creates unity by bringing those who are similar together in a brotherhood and sisterhood.
Marxism is currently running rampant in the USA and Marxism, leading to communism is the arch nemesis of National Socialism. So undoubtedly NatSoc would have a rough time establishing itself when probably more than half of the population are in some ways sympathetic to Marxist ideals. The countryside is unique in teh way that people can be segregated. Generally white people move to the countryside, either through a desire for the "country life" or white flight. This generates a strong sense of community amongst whites vs the "hordes" of the city. This is a basis for National Socialism and where it would find most of its support.
American cities are absolutely not the places that would tolerate any form of fascism. The nature of immigration and ghettoization results in a low white population in cities and a high concentration of marxists due to the "colony" effect that a city has.
And that's just the demographic situation of America, where in some cities you have less than 40% being White and overall, birthrates of nonwhites are many more times higher than whites. It's projected that in a few decades white people will be a minority across all of America, not just cities. This is known as "demographic winter," give it a google, it's pretty bleak.
National Socialism is the only answer to demographic winter. The thing is, if you don't care about your race, your history, your culture and the wellbeing of your future children in a "first world" country, then national socialism isn't for you The core tenent of NatSoc is the prosperity of the white race, and if you aren't white, then it's not a system that you'd enjoy..
Corporatism in the fascist sense of the word means that the government works closely with businesses to keep them subservient and beneficial to the state, and experts are elected from among the industries and fields to minister over these businesses. Capitalism is allowed because it encourages competition and success, but that success must be to the benefit of the nation.
National Socialism: 4 parts, strong nationalism (culture), authoritarianism (government), corporatism (economic), and Aryan superiority (racial).
Basically, the Nazi's believe that there was an Aryan race that they are descended from, and they believe that this Aryan race was basically superhuman in certain ways. Meanwhile, other races, such as Jews and Slavs, were less than human. You can see why this might cause problems in a country with any significant population of non-whites.

My biggest problem with that is the authoritarianism, there has to be a way to instill the values and pride of your nation and your culture whilst still retaining the freedoms of the people in said nation.
The demographic winter is something I am familiar with, as well as Marxism as a whole. I have grown extremely opposed to how Marxist America has become, I'm totally fine without the religious aspect of the society, but the other parts of Marxism are absolutely ludicrous to me, as well as the people who are masquerading as fighting for people's right while heavily pushing Marxist ideology down people's throats. As mentioned above, I wonder if there is a way to put into place and foster certain ideas of National Socialism without taking the rights and freedoms away from the people. I am fairly opposed to authoritarianism as it seems to almost always lead to a dictatorship.

A strong state is the goal. Through a strong state, you give the people a mandate by way of nationalist unity in a goal. For Italy this goal was the recreation of the Roman empire. Businesses work very closely with government and an upper level of (what I call) cronyism is established, where corporations and the state work together to decide what the population needs and how to focus production. There isn't an emphesis on race, but a national unity is formed, like I mentioned, giving the people a sense of being part of something larger than themselves.
National Socialism:
A strong and healthy people is the goal. Racial and cultural identity is key in establishing a national unity. Your country is the best because "the people" are the best, and being a part of that people, you should do your best to make a good example and uphold the values of the society. Businesses aren't working with the state, but the satte does provide benefits to companies which work in the interest of the people (providing good wages, holidays, healthcare) and the state offers projects that these companies compete over (such as the autobahns in Germany) The class system is eliminated by way of the state encouraging the population to help the needy (as they are fellow Aryans) and oligarchs are not allowed to form (since usury is banned, rents are state-controlled, and the price of food is state-controlled) This allows everyone to ahve at least a decent standard of living, but only if you are part of the people. All non-Aryans are second-class citizens that dopn't receive the benefits.

One could theoretically create a nationalist corporatist nation, it wouldn't be fascist, but it would be close. The only problem is that it would open itself up to degeneracy and subversion. I think that one possible way it could work without taking away much needed rights like freedom of speech and expression (In my opinion), but it would have to be a long game type thing. Fix the education to start fostering more of a national identity and pride in said identity. I believe that education is the only surefire way to change a political or national system, but it takes a long time, decades and sometimes entire generations, but it works. If you have the people believing that they are great and are working to benefit them while they work to benefit the nation, then that sort of approach could alleviate the infringement on rights.
