Problems with ethnic nationalism:
1) Changing definitions of what is "white" and or an acceptable ethnicity. There's really no unity here. Some people go as far as "honorary whites" like Japanese, the other extreme says even Italians, Spaniards, Celtics, Slavs, and gingers aren't white. You guys have no clue.
2) impracticality. It might be practical in Europe, where you have far higher proportions of whites and far smaller geographical land areas (easier to govern) but there are 100 million non-whites and the USA is fucking enormous
3) Minorities got Trump elected. Not Whites. That is the Jew media's myth and you guys are gullible cucks for believing it.
4) Trump himself is a Civic Nationalist. He's the president now and he'll be steering US policy for 8 years. Deal with it.
Things to re-assure you about Civic Nationalism:
1) It hasn't really been tried in America for a long time. We've been under the boot of the globalist Jew since 1965, arguably as far back as 1917.
2) Civic Nationalism is not "controlled opposition" by default. Immigration laws should be massively stronger and strictly enforced. We can repeal the 1965 immigration laws and only allow European immigration without going full Nazi Stormfag. We will get rid of sanctuary cities, build the wall and build it tall, and ruthlessly punish those who facilitate the globalist open border ideology.
3) We can wage open war on all fronts against the disgusting and vile creature known as the Jew without becoming Nazi Stormfags. We won't be cooking them, but we will be kicking them out of our institutions and starving them of their life's blood.
4) Civic Nationalism still needs a dominant culture. That will be White culture. It will have a dominant religion - Christianity. But you don't need to go Nazi Stormfag. You just need to enact the laws and efforts listed above.

The best case is simply that it's utterly impractical to do right now. I'm not morally opposed to ethnic nationalism, and I think we ought to change our immigration policy so as to not drown out our white population, but we simply have too many non whites in the country to say fuck em.
The white population is disproportionately old, the Latino population disproportionately young, every four years, as a share of population, more Latinos come to voting age and more whites die. We need an American nationalist movement, a white nationalist movement isn't going to suffice unfortunately.
