This general is for the discussion of Marxism-Leninism, the ideology of revolutionary socialism and communism. Communism is the next stage of humanity following the capitalist stage. What exactly is communism according to Marxist-Leninists:

My idea (and this is strictly my own personal theory, drawing on some communist thought, so don't be surprised if it needs some fleshing out, I'm just spitballing) doesn't promise equality of outcome. What it promises is that everyone has a fair shake at their place of work, has a chance to live comfortably, and that the poor masses won't have their political voice drowned out by the rich few.

IMO it's still falls under form of equality of outcome, it's just partial. You punish people for being to industrious and cap their potential, so others don't be worse.

My wealth cap would only affect a minuscule amount of people. Think about how many people there actually are who are richer than upper middle class. Not many. It's a tiny, tiny proportion of the population who "suffer" because they can't have their private jets. And what's the benefit? We get a society free from corporate influence on politics. Free from lobbying. Free from corruption and backroom dealing and the corrosive influence of big money from every industry and source. No Soros. No Rothschilds. Nothing. A true democracy, where one man really does only have one vote, where money doesn't talk because nobody's got enough to buy influence.
A sacrifice of a few people's uber-comfortable lives (instead they're only really comfortable) in exchange for real democracy instead of rule-by-the-rich.
I think that's worth it.
