At one point, Momiji, had a manga had placed on her in a thread dedicated to Trump's election campaign called a "TRUMP GENERAL" with the phrase "AWOOVEMENT".

This caught on surprisingly well and people started photoshopping MAGA hats on pretty much every image of he they came across.

That's literally it. It was a meme born out of enjoyment. It has basically no special symbolism other than to encourage Hype and support for something.

You'll find most memes are incredibly naturally formed and have little or no real meaning behind them until people PUT meaning behind them. Forcing something to become a meme makes them look incredibly shitty which is why Hillary's "Correct the Record" was such a failure.
