François Hollande will not seek re-election as president of France
>François Hollande, the least popular French president since the second world war, has announced he will not run for a second term in office.
>With a satisfaction rating so low it recently dropped to just 4%, the Socialist president appeared emotional as he said in a live televised address from the Élysée palace that he would not attempt to run for a second term, conscious of the “risks” to the French left.
>He is the first French president since the war not to attempt to run for re-election.
Do average people on the street think your country has gone to shit or are they still in blissful european ignorance?
What's the normie take?

What if he is purposely sabotaging the left because he has seen the light?

Normie a few years ago : "UEROPA EST GREAT" Normie nowadays : "UEROPA E... Hey, come back, that's my phone! Fucking niggers, LEPEN 2017"
Alexander Martinez
Excuse my ignorance, what are the differences in power between the PM and the president?
Tyler James
Not a Frenchman, but I genuinely believe somethings going on over there. I heard Anons posting about a small civil war brewing because of the Muslim invasion. Not sure if any Frenchies on here are redpilled enough to admit it or if its all BS. But I can FEEL France's rage, like France is going to be the start of something glorious.
Ethan Sanders
Vote marine le pen
Kevin Myers
yeah no
Oliver Watson
Never.
Josiah Murphy
The left is beyond saving ATM, they are gonna destroy themselves over the coming months. It's gonna be great to watch.
Le Pen - Fillon in the second round was already confirmed before this announcement.

Step 1: Go to Basilica of Saint-Denis Step 2: Acquire DNA sample of Charles THE HAMMER Step 3.... Step 4: Expel the Moslems from the southern provinces.
Andrew Lewis
It's good she will get 79% percent of the vote first round
Ryan Turner
>What if he is purposely sabotaging the left because he has seen the light? If he wanted that he would have chose to run instead. Right now he has given the left a chance.
Lincoln Wilson

No French Revolution 2.0?
You still have the guillotine right?
Connor Wright
PM is according to the Constitution the guy who has the power in France (ie chief of administration and gvt) because hes responsable accountable to the National Assemblee. However because the president is the "chief" if the majority politic group of the assemblee, hes in fact the puppet of the President.
Eli Bell
Valls will be the candidate for the PS, Macron and the communist guy will run as independents. Then you also have the ecologists stealing some votes from the other candidates. I don't think left has a chance.
Angel Allen
Good riddance to Merkel's viceroy. Never was there a man more unworthy to occupy the Presidency's office.
Jose Nguyen
>With a satisfaction rating so low it recently dropped to just 4%, It should be in the negatives by now

Why don't people demand that he step down? That's insane.

Still literally 0% chance to win

LEPENNE
Brandon Long
I think it might bad for Le Pen, it satisfy the elite's mefiance of a lot of French.
The rage of the people might as well go to the far left or the far right. Historically France is a center right country, and our social model is a heritage from the resistance.
No one knows in France what will be the result of this election, an important political reconstruction is going on
Nolan Rivera
what went wrong?
Aiden Cruz
First round result : Le Pen > Fillon > Macron
Screencap this.
Christian Stewart
Bad.
He's got the lowest approval rating in history. If he ran again she'd win 100%
Jason Green
bump
Leo Collins
Not a globalist but Le Pen will never happen in France. Do you know how French elections work? There is a first round with all the parties. The two parties that get the most votes continue to a second round, where everybody votes again. The winner of the second round gets to be president. Socialists and neocons will literally unite to prevent a Le Pen presidency. She might win the first round but she has no chance in the second. It happened before with her dad. He did well in the first but got his ass whooped 80/20 in the second.
Jaxon Jones
Sounds like you haven't been watching the trends. The outlier underdog wins errytime in this timeline.
Jaxon White
>Trump will never win the primary >Brexit will never happen >Voting fraud in the Austrian election is a conspiratard theory. >Trump will never win the presidency
Bet you're part of the concern trolls that think nobody will ever form a coalition with geert regardless of him already having been part of a minority coalition.

Lincoln Williams
she currently has better odds than Trump had leading up to his election
John Jackson
Then again, you have no idea of what you're talking about. The French election system is completely different from the US one. The 2-turn election system has always eliminated far-right/left parties. If Trump ran for president in France, he would've lost to a landslide at the 2nd turn.
Cameron Lee
Now you just need to get rid of this faggot cuck
Connor Davis
One thing that really annoys me about France is that you fucking ALWAYS have that EU flag positioned next to your own at almost every single media opportunity possible.
You're the only country that does it this damn often.
Henry Lopez
>2012 >Labour had double digit lead in polls >all our leftist politicians were hailing Hollandes win as the beginning of a new socialist Europe
>2016 >Conservatives re-elected and win their first majority since 1992 >Conservatives have a 16% lead over Labour in most recent poll >Brexit
Where did everything start going right?
Dominic Wilson
4%, really?
James Barnes
>Then again, you have no idea of what you're talking about Actually, I do Pierre.
First off, Austria has a 2nd turn system too and Hoffer barely lost even with all the voter fraud and might win this time.
Secondly, the U.S. system might not be two turn like yours but it certainly pits only two viable candidates against each other, the people that vote third party are most of the time a negligible amount so how is this any different?
Landon Mitchell
Shit didn't know she was so fat, she's the one on the left fight?
Anthony Martin
I've been shilling for lepenne on my social media with memes cuz I thought she was in cucked and am getting alot of support from hillary supporters. Am I doing it right?
Zachary Bell
Marine will win
Andrew Cook
Uncucked*
Jose Reyes
Honestly, in France, it was terrorism which tipped the scales.
Parker Gonzalez
France doesn't have the electoral college, Trump lost the popular vote and it was actually what saved his ass. Moreover, our country is cucked into oblivion and most of the voterbase is comprised of SJW zombies and leftists. This is why it is difficult for Le Pen to win. I really hope she does, but (((they))) expected that the far right would rise and brainwashed the youth into leftists zombies.
Levi Morgan
She's open borders, pro-Israel, and no EU.
Take your pick
John Ward
Marine will turn back the hordes of niggers
Jaxson Gray
> Is called a Nazi and a racist all your life > She's pro open-borders
Yes, yes, certainly. Are you one of the Fillon! CTR squad ?
Jacob Butler
France doesn't need to actively leave the EU. it's going to crumble anyway.
Why throw away everything else for a single-issue like staying or leaving the EU?
Joseph Adams
Not so much the terrorism itself as the government's absurd reaction to it: to continue to pander to islam, maintain the same immigration policies and do nothing about national security.
I mean, just look at and imagine if Obama had said that.
Dominic James
>Taiwan >Relevant to global politics Go suck China's cock, you non-country.
Justin Richardson
Why does he look like John Oliver?
Chase Powell
Marine will have a refereundum about Frexit. That way, it decouples the Frexit question from her candidacy (if it's done quickly after her win, LEAVE would probably win I guess)
Matthew Cook
>Moreover, our country is cucked into oblivion and most of the voterbase is comprised of SJW zombies and leftists. Then this is the true reason, don't put it down to the voting system.
1. If the U.S. system came down to a popular vote she would've won but it still would've been a really close election. (46.4% vs 48.1%) 2. This wasn't even your point, your point was that they have "No chance" of winning because it puts two candidates against each other instead of multiple, which isn't even true in the U.S. 3. Dodged my point about Austria.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying she's likely to win but to say she has no chance at least bring some data to the table except mental gymnastics.
Eli Howard
Unfortunately this, the FN is always going to get ganged up on in the second round.

Jaxon Lewis
If she starts at 30% on first turn, she might reach 40% on the second one; and have a real shot in 2022.
I'm not expecting any miracle for this year.
Jonathan Morales
I'd rather have five more years of Hollande than Fillon.
James White
No chance.
Dylan Gray
>This wasn't even your point, your point was that they have "No chance" of winning because it puts two candidates against each other instead of multiple, which isn't even true in the U.S. Then again, Trump would've lost to Clinton if it wasn't for the electoral college. This essentially proves what I was saying. If you put a nationalist candidate against a liberal one, the cucks will all regroup to vote for the liberal and defeat the other one. This happened to the US, but thankfully the electoral college rescued Trump. And this will happen again. >Dodged my point about Austria. I have no idea what the voterbase is like in Austria so I won't comment in it. >at least bring some data to the table See the 2002 election. It's the typical scenario when a nationalist gets past the 1st turn. It would turn up in her favor if her opponent divies his voterbase (I doubt many leftists are going to vote Fillon, I think).
Lincoln Allen
MOI
Carson Thompson
I looked up some head to head polls and it looks like you're right and she will lose.
Has her most likely opponent even said anything about stopping immigration and the wave of terrorist attacks? All I see is him talking about is fucking economic policy...
Henry Butler
It's not impossible, but its much harder for an outsider to win in french election, than to win in the US.
Imagine if Bernie Sanders ran third party, and the GOP withdrew their candidate from the election and told everyone to vote democrat to defeat him. Thats kinda the position Le Pen is in, Hollandes party will tell everyone to vote for the other candidate, and many will do so, since there is no one else to vote for.
Christian Taylor
rooting for you France...
we're all gonna fucking make it
Alexander Ortiz
>3 dub in a row Here have a Alex Jones for your troubles. Also Hollande had 0 chance anyhow. and it won't impact the elections just mean the Lefties will go to Le Pen even more since Macron is just a fucking Right wing politician lost in the Left wing party and Melenchon is a retard
Henry Brooks
>Pro open borders Looked up a few quotes on her.. Doesn't appear that way, especially if she wants to leave the eu
Parker Nguyen
>Sup Forums is going to elect another pro-israel president Good Goys.
Lincoln James
Fillon? I don't know. All the debates were waste of time so I didn't bother watching them. All I know is that he wants to reduce immigration and is pro Russia, but for some odd reason he is pro EU, which means he cannot reduce immigration without the ZOG and Kaiser Merkel punishing the country. Only retards believe he will actually do shit if he keeps up the pro EU mindset.
Jayden Reyes
So is it set in stone that it will be Le Pen vs Fillon or is there a decent chance for a different outcome?
Wyatt Walker
Most likely. I doubt than a socialist candidate or Mélenchon make it past the 1st turn. At this point it's an inevitable Le Pen vs Fillon 2nd turn.
Camden Phillips
Yeah but in the French system it can't happen. No. You're an idiot.
Isaac Richardson
She has been saying that she want border control again for a long time now.
Blake Diaz
How far along is anti-EU sentiment in your country? Is it enough to tip the election?
Carson Scott
JUST U S T
Adrian Ward
How comes it never snows in Toulouse ? :(
Liam White
And was the 02' election between a nationalist and a conservative too? If it was a center-leftist vs a nationalist this might give a different outcome this time.
Thanks for all the responses, by the way, I appreciate it.
Jason Kelly
Isn't this the frog that said France should learn to live with terrorism?
Logan Martin
Hollande, je suis GIGN
Evan Ortiz
Didn't Hollande deny Le Pen winning the last election by forming a coalition with socialist scum?
Time for a change in jolly old France! WOOT WOOT, THAT'S THE SOUND OF THE DA POLICE.
Aiden Perry
Respect him for doing the right thing.
Aiden Green
>How far along is anti-EU sentiment in your country? I'd say not as much as yours but the fact that we got 3 terrorist attacks with many people killed within the Hollande presidency probably got a lot of people upset about the open borders crap and the EU itself as well. >Is it enough to tip the election? I'm not sure. Every election we get a lot of abstention. If the usual leftists/normals don't vote then it could tip the election. Anti-EU people are probably more motivated to vote than your average bluepilled Frenchman.
>And was the 02' election between a nationalist and a conservative too? Look up Jacques Chirac. I'm not sure how you could describe him, he's pretty much an average rightist candidate. His opponent was Marine's dad, Jean-Marie Le Pen (who is also the founder of the Front National party), and was known to be much more nationalist and anti-nonwhites than his daughter.
