The Arab Spring in Syria was caused to destabilize the region. There is nothing to suggest that Assad is bombing his own people or that the Russian are either. There also nothing to suggest that Assad was persecuting people who would not harm the stability of Syria prior to the Civil War.

No, we should continue to fence coordinates to the Russians in order to take out ISIS, which was a big fat waste and a big fat mistake. Putin had proposed this very thing as an out -- we can continue to paint Russia as the BIG EBIL BOMBER and sweep the riff raff under the rug.
