Utopia/Dystopia

Do you think humans will ever be able to achieve a world like a utopia. I don't mean a literal perfect world - that can't ever completely happen obviously, people will still die or get upset etc. - but a world where everyone has super-tech and awesome houses and there's no war or famine or poverty. Do you think it's possible to have a system that makes that a reality?

>no war or famine or poverty
If we remove the "super Tech and awesome houses" part, Norway and Sweden was basically an Utopia, but our politicians destroyed the Utopia.

So what kind of system would maintain it?

If we develop machines that can break molecular bonds and restructure matter, we will be able to convert any substance in to any other substance.

In other words there would be no scarcity. You'd have everything you wanted and your waste would be broken down and restructured back into something useful. You could convert your feces into concrete, dirt into food, etc.

I believe this is the same concept as "replicators" from Star Trek, but I've never seen Star Trek.

Whether we'll get there before we destroy ourselves is another question.

A nation state, build around solidarity and brothership between its Citizens.

Human nature prevents this utopia from existing.
Even if everyone on earth was given a middle class lifestyle and future tech houses and never has to worry about food, there would still be people who fuck it all up.

There would still be those who crave wealth and power and those who are self-destructive and destroy everything around them.

Literal there is utopia and dystopia at all times

The few that have the money and power live in utopia, the rest of the dregs live in dystopia

This cannot be changed it's the natural way of things

That sounds a lot like national Socialism

Until the world ends sure.

Sweden were once an utopia with low unemployment, free education and healthcare and all white people. Low to almost non-existant crime and people lived good. Things changed sadly, as you have noticed

It would require full automation I think. It looks to be inevitable in a way.

People with extremely high IQ, empathy, and a very strong sense of botherhood with very little outside intervention.

So basically

As long as the Federal Reserve, the IMF and the World Bank still exist, we will all go down hill.

Humans as in Homo Sapiens no, humans as in our descendants/creations maybe.

so sad

You're living in the time of the greatest prosperity man has ever known, with technology that once would have seemed magic or even divine. If you transported someone from a previous century to the UK or US today, put them in the welfare system and gave them a smart phone, they would fall on their knees and thank God every day for the boundless opportunities presented to them. The downside to living in the fantastic, futuristic utopia that we have is that we take it for granted, and we as a society have so adapted to our wonders and built up such a tolerance to the drug of opportunity that our poor continue to fail and dwell in poverty because of their own blind stupidity. With the values and drive of a previous century, with the mindset of husbandry and thrift and hard work that brought previous generations to build for us, their children, the world that we now shit upon, the poor could easily raise themselves up to utopian levels of comfort. No system, no technology will ever solve mankind's true obstacles to achieving utopia: namely, sloth and stupidity.

Dont people in sweden realize life was better for swedes before immigration? How has immigration improved sweden in any way?

You're right. Also rich lobbying firms and just the SWAMP in general. Not just swamps in the US, but in other countries as well. German finance district holds a fucking chokehold on Europe, and it is one of the biggest reasons why so many Europoors that I know don't want to leave EU. France is a perfect example.

Bruh. There is always room for improvement.

I guess even if those things got invented, only the super rich would have them, and most would starve...

What I get scared of is a bit like the "true communism was never tried" fallacy

Imagine we get to the point in the future where people of any grouping can split off and claim their own planet to prosper on. Ideally it would be a case of - well, if we fail we have no one to blame but ourselves.

Everyone would have a clean slate to see their social experiment through to a logical outcome but I feel like there would ALWAYS still be some excuse for failure.

"oh, we're starving? well the Russians found a far more fertile planet and they're refusing to trade with us!!!"

I can imagine 100 scenarios like that

We have to drain the swamp. Also, lots of implications on you and Aussie's part.

I would not get your hopes up for something like this before we're a type 3 civ

the amount of power needed to convert matter to the desired substance would probably outweigh the cost of simply procuring it. It's hard to imagine energy post scarcity sustainable on a long timeline with our current understanding of the universe.

Well, old people that lived in Sweden during its prime obviously know how it once was. That's why like all old people in Sweden vote for SD our right wing nationalist party. But our young people grew up in this multicultural shithole, they don't know how it once was, how we once were. They think all these gangfights in Malmö and rapes are somehow normal and natural when it's not. We are better than that.

I also think the reason why we imported so many sandniggers is because people just get bored of swedes. When everything is going perfectly, you wake up every day and it's a perfect day with no crimes and no nothing people just get bored because nothing exciting happens so we decided to import sandniggers to spice things up but it has backfired immensly.

> I also think the reason why we imported so many sandniggers is because people just get bored

Dat political and economic understanding

>Utopia
In my perfext world I can fuck any women I want.

>dystopia
All these guys keep fucking me all the time

It started with cheap labor to fuel your economy. It ended with zero integration monkeys living in zoos waging wars upon one another and anyone caught in the crossfire.

Politicians may have invited them, but they took their orders from their owners.

I like where this is going

>"The reason why immigrants came were because we were bored."

Maybe you guys deserve it.

It's the same story as with Norway's first imports of Pakis and the like. That guy is just too young. It was importing labor to fuel the economy. It worked for a time.

It backfired massively, especially in Sweden.

It's probably possible in pockets of the world. But there will never be anything close to a global utopia, certain factors make that impossible.

Whether or not it happens, we now have the ability to create any format of Utopia through VR. As this tech progresses we may find ourselves preferring it to any "reality" based ideal.

Even now some scientists and philosophers speculate that we are the result of a similar situation that went on before us.

I mean swedes are really socially retarded, we need to drink lots of alcohol to get ourselves going. When foreigners comes here with tones of confidence it attracts the sluts

it will probably end like this

If we genophage shitskins, then yes, it's possible.

Utopia in greek means "no place". The definition is a pipedream that can't be achieved. The future is either traditional, or some kind of transhumanism, Warhammer 40K style.

The literal name of a thing is not the same thing as what it actually is.

You can call a bed a table but it's still a bed.

they ended famine and boomed the population into the billions
u just jelly they get to make the narritive.

once we 3d printing then all we gota worry about is people who wana see the world burn (you know, people like imf chief dominq strauss kahn, the *alleged and settled innocent* hotel rapist

we have monetized life itself. food used to grow free, now doing so is illegal because it hurts economy
we build houses where neighbors can see thee, because we dont want fields of harvestable poppy
if it were upto me, cars would be replaced with the horse drawn buggy.

-stayin socialist in the suburbs, like my hero the rapist. t. normie

> the IMF ended famine
> the IMF want to watch the world burn

Make your mind up

3D printing is not a fucking replicator, it's a toy.

>tfw NAFTA destroyed Pablo's economy and immigrants run to US to get jobs to only be paid shit while American workers get cheated out of job.

I'm telling you, it's that fucking swamp. We wouldn't even need a wall if it wasn't for those people in power now.

Don't apologize for the most corrupt fuckers in the world.

So basically big corporations are to blame?

One with extreme transparency. Basically all government accounting is public information.

If there will be one day, it will look like this.

You're missing the American flags and freedom you tard.

My ideal world desu.
