I don't disagree, as long as the chinese government keeps things stable they will win in the long term. Even if someone were to assume they lack talent in some fields, they will just hire the best foreigners available.
Western corporations won't be able to compete, china can just pump 100 billion dollars into building something if they feel it will be worth it 20 or 30 years later. The western governments will either have to invest in science and technology or accept falling behind.
