(LEAD) Court allows weekday protests 200 meters from presidential office

SEOUL, Dec. 2 (Yonhap) -- A South Korean court on Friday ordered police to allow citizens to march up to 200 meters from the presidential office on weekdays amid a growing protest against President Park Geun-hye over an influence-peddling scandal.

The court said protesters should be allowed to be there from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. throughout December. But the ruling does not apply to weekend rallies.

The court added while it respects freedom of assembly, it has decided to put some restrictions considering the protests' impact on the area's traffic conditions and others' right of passage.

If the number of protesters is below 100, only marching on sidewalks is allowed, according to the court.

Protesters took to the streets for the past five weekends since the outbreak of the scandal involving Park's confidante Choi Soon-sil, who exerted influence on state affairs while enjoying unlawful benefits.

Organizers claimed a record-high 1.5 million joined the latest rally held in central Seoul last Saturday.

The cunt won't be leaving until she's dragged out by the police.

What are the politics of South Korea? Do they give a shit about abortion, gay marriage, death penalties? What are the two dominate groups when it comes to tax plans? Is there a SJW group that needs safe places?

All I know about South Korea is the history book stuff.

The current party in power has given massive tax cuts to super-rich while increasing tax on consumption and cutting basic income support for the poor (it was less than $300/mo to begin with).

The result of 9 years of this shit is the worst domestic demand and consumer sentiment since the such statistics started being collected.

2016Q3 consumer confidence, surveyed by MasterCard, put S. Korea in the bottom 10 of more than 160 countries surveyed.

So they had a Reagan moment? A guy that preached trickle down economics? And the economy is weak because income inequality has shifted the wealth away from consumer spending, and into speculative bubbles?

Jesus, just go read about it yourself there's plenty enough out there at the moment to understand the situation in 2 mins.

Yes. The job market is so bad, even graduates of Seoul National University can't find a job.

10 years ago, all the major corporations' (Samsung, Hyundai, etc.) HR departments would line up to suck their dicks months before they graduate.

>shitposting koala plugger that ruins conversation

>Burger can't take 2 minutes to educate himself and would rather listen to himself talk/make wild comparisons to Regan

North Korea slams 'Obama and his lackeys' in furious response to sanctions

(CNN) — North Korea has furiously rejected United Nations sanctions, accusing Security Council members of being puppets of the United States.

The defiant statement Thursday came as both South Korea and Japan announced further restrictions on the state, including on visits by foreign missile and nuclear experts.

The Security Council voted unanimously on November 30 to impose their "toughest" sanctions yet on North Korea, stopping about $800 million in exports including coal and copper.

The new restrictions came in response to North Korea's nuclear warhead test in September, its fifth and potentially most powerful yet.

In the statement, North Korea said many countries that are members of the United Nations Security Council had already conducted their own nuclear tests and missile launches.

>"Obama and his lackeys are sadly mistaken if they calculate that they can force the DPRK to abandon its line of nuclear weaponization and undermine its status as a nuclear power through base sanctions to pressurize it," the statement read.
