As long as it's not hurting citizens domestically, I don't have a problem with allowing brilliant people to immigrate here. Unfortunately, there's plenty of evidence suggesting that companies (e.g. Disney) are employing immigrant labor for jobs that could have gone to Americans, simply to save money. Don't get me wrong, I know the US tries to drain talent from other countries. But there are certain ethnic groups that are massively more prone to cheating. Especially the Chinese, where it's more common to cheat than to not. These people do not have the same degree qualities as those from other more principled areas, but they also often make up the bulk of these statistics because it's easier for a cheater to get a degree.

Universities, especially elite universities, stake their value upon their reputation. This is largely based on the success of their graduates. The top universities are funded less by their tuition fees and more by the endowments provided to them by wealthy alumni.
