I blame him, but I also blame the people involved. Whoever threw the party should never have set up their equipment and agreed to host there. The people that lived there apparently blocked the rear entrance building spaces to live in.
It was a "collective", in that a lot of them helped him build that place. Some of them tried to stop him, but not enough.
