It's actually smart on Stef's behalf if he wants his message to resonate correctly. It causes people around those who Defoo to change their ways or at the very least rethink their views. It won't work with everyone, but it'd be interesting if a lot more people started defooing out of nowhere.

She'd write down all sorts of punishments, put them in the bag and have you randomly draw as many punishments from the bag as she said based on what we did wrong. You don't exactly want to do even a small thing you know will get you in trouble, because you could still end up drawing a big punishment for it.

Whenever we'd go out someplace (which was very frequent. She'd bring us to the store to make sure we learned how to shop, for instance), she would ALWAYS ask us before stepping out the door "Are you going to act like clowns or like angels?". We both knew the correct answer and if we started goofing off too much, she'd let us know with a quick glare.
