Because then we have no rivals left at this point. To have an in group like humans, we need an out group that isn't part of us. Until we discover aliens, we will be divided by whatever we decide divides us, nationality, ethnicity, religion, doesn't matter. We just need rivalries, because that's how our brain works. Evil has a larger toolset than good. Whilst the struggle for resources and life security is in play evil is more successful for that evil clan because it has better weapons.
To make struggle/evil/animalistic fears no longer invoked survival needs to be guaranteed (housing, food, health) then everyone will calm down.

Why aren't we there yet? Our economic systems can't handle automation (tech advances), automation destroys jobs -> destroys tax income for gov and invokes citizens financial security fears -> the system struggles for a solution -> great depression -> war over markets and resources and money owed -> death and destruction -> when enough is dead and destroyed then (eg. 1940s) -> boom starts (eg. 1950s)
Tl;dr economy can't handle tech advances -> war/death/destruction. Think of forest fires clearing underbrush.
You need to stop the underlying cycle with near free basic human needs first so the death fear disappears. Top down forced globalism is a surface layer facade and not a underlying bottom up core solution.
Hence natural globalism is natural/inevitable/nondestructive. Its root is personal security.
