That said, that's all assuming whether it's true or not, I work in criminal justice and I'd say given the overwhelming amount of circumstantial evidence, connections with already convicted pedophiles, the owners/customers tweeting back and forth about the attractiveness of young boys/girls.
It warrants probable suspicion indefinitely and would atleast inquire questioning in any normal persons circumstances and I'd even go so far to say probable cause for investigation due to the well-known pedophiles are already connected and the Podesta brothers match a suspect description, I've developed cases for probable cause based off the fact that a suspect matched a description in a report, it gives warrant for traffic stops and investigations, even search and seizures.
The Podesta brothers do in fact match a description of people who were accused in a felony act, not only that there is no valid alibi, they were infact located a block away on vacation at the date and time of the victims disappearance, at a convicted pedophiles villa nonetheless... The fact that the intelligence community, local police department, or any other valid enforcement agency isn't acting with the already numerous implications, leads me to believe there is some sort of validity and collusion, media just doesn't jump through hoops to defend a simple pizza owner, they didn't even jump through this many hoops to defend people claiming Lena Dunham was a predatory-pedophile.
Were it anywhere else in a less corrupt division, there had been a search warrant a month ago and it's really no surprise that the police chief was a frequent customer and on their instagram feed, where there's smoke, there is probably fire.

Also to further build on my argument, there's even grounds met for an emergency search not requiring a warrant and any concerns of a violation of fourth amendment rights would fall under the good-faith exception in play under Mapp v. Ohio. Even if there were nothing found, there would be no officer legitimately prosecuted for exercising such acions in given circumstances like this, the only reason that is not the case is due to these peoples customers and connections.
There are so many ins and outs to this that could easily be absolved by a legitimately concerned official but aren't, an actual legal investigation would soothe most minds.
