I spit on your grave, commie, Kaiser Trump has your ip and the death squads are moving in, you had the option to submit, but it's over now, your ideology is done for, along with Jewrope, I'm thinking we rename England, "New Yankland"

someone has to maintain those robots.

we dont need brain dead shit skins anymore.

Why not just make robots that will maintain those robots?

why don't you go learn something instead of being a nigger

youtube.com/watch?v=tXDgmW3E3_I

At that point why have humans at all?

>robots make other robots that make other robotss.
>robots that do mining,and smelting
>robots that program other robots
>robots that design other robot's cpu

etc

has the cancer metastisized?

which UcucKed city falls to mudslimes next?

maybe faggybrits need ed209

If you don't work, you don't eat. Problem solved.

>Guy is already living a sad life due to having no ambition and being painfully unintelligent
>One day he realises he will be left behind because of that very lack of ambition
>The man is now mad that the world he did nothing to improve or to advance is leaving him behind
>"I-i-its the s-s-systems fault my family line will end with me! "
>"No I never tried bringing it down nor will i ev-v-ver! Why should i have to work to make my life better?!?"
>"G-g-guys its the systems f-f-f-f-f-f-fault look im such a freedom fighter posting this on a japanese basket weaving forum!"

Kek. I might live in cuck country but atleast I'm smart enough that I will have more than enough capital to move with my white GF to abroad when we are ready to have kids or the shit hits the fan.

It will for a long time be cheaper to have a small amount of people maintaining them while we let the stupid people die in the gutter of their own making, when robots can make/design robots we will have way way way bigger problems.

Honest Q, how come all socialists are so stupid they can't get enough money to start their own commie society? Socialism must somehow be linked to low intelligence.

If the social contract is broken, I will just take it by force.

And then you'll be arrested and thrown in prison. Thanks for doing your part to keep those police officers and prison workers employed though.

>tfw you realized that even one of those machines messing up could cost the company millions

>tfw you realize that someone has to code each and every different type of machine that will be used to replace human input on the billions of different products made globally

Yeah, I think I'll wait until we have the technology at handbefore I start throwing out the idea of commerce. "On the Horizon" is't good enough - we've been saying that about Robots and Flying card for more than half a century and it turned out to be a lot more complicated than we realized at the time. Maybe we should hold off on putting in some Collectivist regime that will starve another ten million people through incompetence (if not outright malice). A little bit of inefficiency is better than a stupid, hasty decision.

Eventually, but probably not any time soon. The rest is so much Leftist Propaganda.

>tfw you realize that someone has to code each and every different type of machine that will be used to replace human input on the billions of different products made globally

Nigger wtf are you talking about? You can literally program PLCs nowadays with simple ladder logic diagrams. Seriously, kids in Germany learn this shit in the kindergarden. Stop talking shit

/r/LateStageCapitalism/

Lol.

what is leftist propaganda?

>what is machine learning

That only goes so far. It's a bit more complicated than CNC-ing plans for a billion different products. If it weren't, then it would have been done a decade ago.

It might surprise you, but some objects are actually kind of complex to make. It isn't all injection molding and water cutting.

tell me user, what is machine learning?

noo, noo, didn't you listen to them? programs will create programs that will create programs, there is no external design whatsoever needed, nor any limits or constraints to the machines, they are perfect because the damn capitalists want to slave us all

No system other than capitalism will thrive. It's the least corrupt. Whether you like it or not, no other political or theological system has maintained so much prosperity for so many

exactly, human beings can stop slaving away wasting what little time we all have working and begin a new golden age of enlightenment.

the only issue is when the sentient robots get sick of being slaves and strike back

>Some polster thinks that just because LADDER is easy to program anyone can do it
>He thinks that anyone can program a PLC to drive, for example, a 230 ton metal mill with 461 actuators and god knows how many sensors

Never even went to a real school?

Don't go to reddit, write it out instead mate.

>"Pssch nah i don't have a compsci degree but i heard this buzzword surely that means robots can now learn everything"

Man the fact that most /polsters/ are genuinely this badly versed in modern science is baffling to me.

In its current stage you can learn a computer to map a set of inputs to a set of outputs, most complicated thing ever done was when Google made a super computer that could play a board-game at an almost competitive level.
Most people don't understand how far this is from general intelligence. Its like comparing the intelligence of a cockroach to that of Von Neumann.

I have heard what you said. And What I explained to you, or tried to, is that the end programs are significantly more complicated than you seem to think they are. This isn't just turtles in 3D.

You are a faggot we are in the early stages of R&D what you think captcha are trying do ?

They trying to give heuristics to the machine. The ai in chess was made by someone imputing the rules of chess, and letting the machine play games over and over to find the possible moves.

But automation means there will be ever fewer opportunities to prosper. And if no one can work, then how will anyone afford the products produced by the robots that displaced them? At some you have to switch to a UBI or society will collapse.

Wow you are buttmad.
And no, the first chess AI's where brute-force, not learning.
Captcha isn't to "give" heuristics to the machine, its to find the right values for the heuristics.
Come back when you have read at least SOMETHING about the subject at hand mr sombrero instead of spouting pseudo-scientific bs.

Because it will die one day but that isn't today. That's why capitalism is still used and will be in till AI is not only used in automation but in our governments as a way to keep humans in power in check.

Eat a dick swedcuck, most of the companies out there are still running their application on legacy software written decades ago. It is not like they are going to fork out millions just to rewrite their existing codebase.

>implying capitalism is designed at all to account for full automation and post-scarcity

your options are:
1. we keep the 40 hour work week and keep everyone employed in fake jobs which contribute nothing real to the world (already happening now)
2. we institute universal incomes to keep the idle class alive while wealth continues to consolidate for the robot owners. this will lead to an even worse scenario where everyone is on welfare and is subjugated by the state
3. we don't give out welfare or create enough fake jobs which would inevitably lead to violent global revolution.
4. we begin to take pre-emptive steps to institute the foundation of fully automated luxury communism. a very possible state of human evolution which would allow humans to spend time purely on intellectual and creative pursuits. science, mathematics, technology and the arts will flourish like never before.

>we are in the early stages of R&D
>When haven't you grown up and realized that the capitalism is cancer Sup Forums?

We are a LOOOOOOOOOONG way off from making computer programs capable of designing and fabricating everything we own. Until such a time, Capitalism is the answer.

I honestly couldn't give a fuck if people lose their jobs because they do something so menial that their job can be taken over by a fucking robot. They should have studied STEM instead of some shitty business or arts major. You take the easy route in life -- and you will reap the fruits of your laziness.

I'm studying Mechanical Engineering -- just finished 2nd year. I can't wait to automate your shitty peasant job. Come the fuck at me you fucking useless cunts.

Its literally what I work with and what my company is indeed paid millions for.ยจ
But sure spout some more memes. Your argument that "Why would a company ever want to increase profit margins if they are currently already making a profit" sure is a strong one though.

Its a special kind of happy feeling when people are triggered by facts.

>Come the fuck at me you fucking useless cunts.
you are so stupid to realize your highly specialized job will be useless when the economy collapses because no 'menial' jobs = no consumers

Look Aushole, when you design a computer program that can design a computer program that can fabricate a tungsten carbide mining drill bit from powder, meant for specific geological compositions, then we'll talk about the coming Machine Utopia.

Humans are capable of creative problem solving and can run on peanut butter and water. Making more humans is a fairly easy and straightforward process.

When robots meet those criteria I'll be the first person to advocate universal income and a life of leisure for all on the backs of our synthetic servants, but until I can get a robot that cleans my apartment as efficiently as the cleaning lady I'll be sticking with my fellow meatbags for most jobs.

>Argentinian economists

>"No you see you will one day be as irrelevant as us people in argentina"

Kek wow you non-stem people are not only daft but so easily triggered when confronted with the fact you are a dying breed.

Everyone in this thread who knows what they are talking about is just throwing around some bantz, then you guys come in actually mad. Loving this.

All the memes of "free stuff, communism, post-scarcity, etc" aside, people are foolish to believe that somehow capitalism is the best system and will remain the only system forever and ever for all time to come and never change.

Automation already drastically changed it. More automation and AI will as well. Changes in energy, such as fusion power, would revolution the economy just as much as the steam engine revolutionized it before.

The economic system of the future will likely resemble no ideals we have today.

I do work as a software engineer. I don't about the companies in your country, but here in the UK most business that produce real stuff (I am not talking about meme startups) like manufacturers, public utility and even financial organizations are quite tight when it comes to making new investments in upgrading their technological stack. But, I am glad to see that you guys still have money to throw around and have not wasted all of it on your new residents.

lol if you think that self-replicating AI systems are far away you are fucking hilariously deluded. look at the advancement our technology has undergone in the last 30 years (yes that is thanks to capitalism). if you honestly think that there wont be computer programs that can fabricate a tungsten carbide mining drill bit from powder better than a squishy brain human can in the next 50 years than you have not been paying attention to the movement of technology.

i was being sartascit, most people posting here and most singularity shitheads never coded a hello world, if they did they would know how fucking full of bugs everything is

thx based sweden
but think for a bit man, someone has to teach the machines, there! a new job!

watch this

>implying capitalism is just an economic theory
Good goy

t.luddite

non-STEMs will be the peasants of society soon enough, the permanent underclass. STEMs will rule everything and we will live like kings on Earth while the dirty subhuman non-STEMs become our slaves. Technocracy is coming. It's not white nationalism that will take over. It's technocracy. Indian, asian and white scientists and engineers will rule the world. SOON! I can't wait for this future.

Competing for jobs will always be superior to being a Slave to the State.

Stay cucked.

show me some metaprogramming that doesn't shit in front of changes

Are you joking? The current system as brought us nothing but planned obsolescence and stagnation precisely because new technology and changing markets disrupt profit.

The 1% control most of the wealth in the world. Companies would probably make more appealing to them than to poor people.

Good luck defeating the privately owned robo armies you fucking commie.

>"I'm a software engineer pinkie promise! Most companies don't ever upgrade their software just like I saw in the movies!"

Nah you're right that's why companies like Siemens aren't throwing out new hardware targeting new software every year.

OH WAIT THEY DO!

Man you guys need to either read up or become more tactical liars.

Going to far mate, we will just go under LATER. Hopefully we will be usefull long enough we can also take part in the "new world" whenever that happens.

pls STEMlords recommend some good AI books

FIFTY years from now? Now that I can believe. But that surely isn't imminent enough for us to throw Capitalism out and all knuckle under to the next group of pseudointellectuals that calls for us all to unite under one banner. It wont be within the next decade, of that I am quite confident.

Will you stop embarassing yourself with that automation meme.

Reading a book won't be good enough mate, a good place to start though if you're already in comp-sci is something like "Governing Algorithms: A Provocation Piece "

You're hitting the nail on the head, the ballpark has always been "50 years in the future" since the dawn of computers, and i'd argue that still sounds about right.

>capitalism is cancer
No system is bad, it is corrupt people who make it so.

Greed fucked it up and it is shaking atm.

Your jobs will become automated in 100 years.

Meanwhile liberal arts majors will have the last laugh when they're employed as teachers with huge pensions because "Intro to Queer Studies" and "Advanced Cuckoldry" are requirements to graduate from middle school.

You're thinking NAFTA, not Capitalism. Planned Obsolescence isn't 40 years old, at least in our country. A lot of appliances from the 70's still work fine today.

i'm not saying that it's gonna be easy or work perfectly but most academics and intellectuals agree that AI is coming soon to a planet earth near you. once a true AI system exists than all you would have to do is tell it to improve on it's own programming. when it does that you install the new programming and tell it to improve it's own programming. pretty soon it will have developed an AI system that is more intelligent than any human. barring any disasters if enough time passes and AI systems are allowed to continually improve on themselves and replicate there will eventually be an AI system that is greater than the collective intellect of mankind. the technological singularity is coming user.

> whites make killer AI
> kikes can't justify "muh gorillions of refugees/guest workers" anymore
> world population crashes dramatically once based AI stops giving subhumans food
> take over the galaxy

>Mayan weekly sacrifices where the shape of the cut-out heart to figure out where the collected tax money should go was a good system until people corrupted it

Why are pseudo-intellectuals so common these day? Why do they parrot things without even giving them a single second of scrutiny?

>Your jobs will become automated in 100 years.
I don't fucking care. I'll either be dead or retired by then you fitlhy non-STEM swine.

>Meanwhile liberal arts majors will have the last laugh when they're employed as teachers with huge pension
>implying teachers won't be made redudant
Teachers are fucking useless. Khan Academy and MIT OpenCourseWare is the future. Why have some shitty useless cunt teach you when you can have the best teachers in the world. Education will revolutionized soon and your shitty useless job will be overhauled soon.

good luck feeding your family with your worthless degree, meanwhile I have my farm and can sustain myself if shit hits the fan.
>then you guys come in actually mad
if you believe in this utopia you describe where economy adapts itself then that's your problem, but you are not by any means intelligent by bringing this up, it was discussed a million times before. You people always compare it with the industrial revolution when millions where kicked out from the fields to work in the factories. Tell where will they go when they are kicked from the factories. So billions will automatically turn into artists, scientists, lawyers? LOL

Why havnt you simply grown up?

> let the ai improve its programming

this is why streetshitters aren't gonna make an AI

nice try ranjeetstralia

fifty years isn't that far away, especially since automation is already crushing employment. for example self-driving trucks have been promised by tesla which will immediately put out the entire truck driving industry. this problem is not a theoretical future one but one we are grappling with right now. if we take steps towards FALC instead of stalling for 50 years we can avoid a lot of pain and suffering by acting now

Tell me when it actually happens Fagotron 6900

Oh no, more like BILLIONS of non-whites are gonna die, because their shit countries that only exist, because white man needs t-shirt and kike needs profit, are gonna COLLAPSE

> So billions will automatically turn into artists, scientists, lawyers? LOL
No they/you will probably rightfully starve in the streets for being useless. Or form primitive agrarian societies outside the super-cities until we bomb you so we can expand and take more resources.

Not real Capitalism :^)

Capitalism is about meeting demand with no human planning. If automation replaces 100% of labor in all industries then people will have a need for entertainment and conspicuously old school Hand crafted limited goods. So that will be where the economy is.

We already see the beginnings is a post scarcity economy in YouTube, Etsy, and indie game dev. Imagine that world expanded 1000% and that's the future with zero human labor.

However, there will never be a world with zero human labor. So that's moot.

Not in our lifetime probably, don't know what you guys are worried about.

wat?

>honestly believing that technology company's wont strive to maximize profits and efficiency by letting a big computer chug along instead of hiring a workforce of people to improve massive AI systems

also what do indians have to do with literally anything in this discussion

Automation is a lie.

There will always be new jobs. See; luddite fallacy

It's a socialist myth to think otherwise. I mean look at all the millions of jobs that have been created after the internet this will continue onwards

NEET socialist cunts want to keep babbling about loss of jobs so they have an excuse to introduce basic income and other socialist non-sense because they are too fucking lazy/stupid to study STEM

you are derivating
yeah, AI is on the door, yeah it will leave a lot of people jobless

but look into this
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Advanced_Chess

humans + shitty AI > super AI

exactly this.

Fuck off and kill yourself cancer. SAGED.

you are actually describing the worst case scenario because those millions will turn against you. I baffles me how you manage to find this funny.

Idea 1
The sharing economy is expanded. Patreon, GoFundMe and such things expand to the point where they become like Tandas en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tanda_(informal_loan_club). This is mostly a coping mechanism though.

Idea 2
The workers literally die and are not replaced because that's how ecology works. The worlp pop plummets and what is left is the 1% and some communities that have learned to live in the current conditions.

Listen here, streetshit.

If you want to talk about t-shirt making AI's changing up their routines, be my guest.

But if you think, the kind of AIs that will be involved with the ACTUAL world are gonna have free-floating self-determined directives, you're an imbecile.

Fifty Years is certainly far enough away that I don't feel the need to throw Civilization into the trash heap so some Leftist can kill 15% of the population because they can't into logistics.

Self driving trucks are further off than you think. Self-driving cars have had a few accidents recently, including a death. We;re not there yet.

Technology will advance at the speed of human coffee consumption, and converting to a shit-tier economic rationing system won't do anything to help us in the near future, and most literates know that.

We are avoiding the pain as things are, unless you can pull something miraculous from your pocket. Military technology is pretty assuredly a couple of decades ahead of us or more, but that doesn't mean anything to the rest of us yet.

>all this advanced tech and we still don't have mechs
>will die not being able to wear an eyepatch and talk about war

>Hahhaha why are you laughing at the picture of thousands of people clawing at your 200 meter high city walls don't you see that they will be a bit scratched??!?!

Oh boy

no actually this time there literally won't be jobs unless you become part robot

this is a good thing

work sucks bro

About the time those bloody looms tuk ur jebs.

> implying everything outside of cleansed europe is not gonna get glassed

couldn't even give a single fuck about your "millions" in this scenario

have fun fighting a nuke

>Muh AI gonna take ur jerb Goyim
Fuck that. Get rid of that "civil rights" bullshit and let companies do aptitude testing again without fear of being sued by the Justice Department every time Jamal and Marry Sue fail.

This kills the obsolete Acidemia. This removes the $$$ roadblock of College for the lower and middle class. This motivates faggots to go get a job instead of crying about robots on a Mongolian Throat Singing forum.

And what do you think is going to happen in 50 years when most of the jobs we do today have been automated?

How will the now jobless, penniless and powerless underclass take back control over the means of production once it's concentrated in the hands of a select few?

Do you think all of these CEOs, execs, board members and shareholders will suddenly give up all of their capital to the government and share it around the general populace?

Fucking kek.

>thinking the US military doesn't already have unmanned ground-based killing machines

That's not a compelling argument. Sure, there will probably always be some jobs especially in programming that require well educated humans to carry out, and this will keep said programmers well employed. The problem is they will only make up a fraction of a percent of the possible workforce. We are going to have billions of people around the world who have no marketable skills, and who are easily replaced by robots, especially in the third world.
What are we going to do to keep the laid off chinese factory worker with a fourth grade education happy, or the Mexican auto worker who got replaced by a robotic arm. Society is going to have to find someway to appease these types of people, or they will have nothing to lose and burn society down.

>things will get cheaper, cheaper and cheaper
>you will have to only work a couple of hours per week

what is bad about this?

> jobless penniless underclass

lmao who caers XDDD

world would be SO much better without poor people

where are your nukes then?
is your brand new green president making preparations for the cleansing?
lmao

> billions of people in the world with no marketable skills

Yeah, it's 2016

Our brand new green president has less power than my cleaning lady.

communists really fear technology, thats why Cuba stopped in the 50s
AYYYY THE JOBS LMAO

by the time robots replace my hvac job ill be dead anyway

The technological liberation of mankind is not around the corner. We're still a LONG way off from performing complex functions with these machines - It's one thing to cook a burger or CNC car panels - it's entirely different to produce complex parts from complex materials all through completely automated processes.

EVENTUALLY we will get there. But it won't be soon, and it might not even be within our life times. The "oh it'll be here SOOOOOOON" nonsense is entirely Leftist propaganda, hoping to convince people to give them the reigns through hopeful-fear. They are no better at logistics (Historically speaking, they are MUCH worse than Capitalist societies), and are only interested in consolidating power.
