* Mostly misinterpretations of Tesla's work

You can get ~100W out of a 2-ton apparatus on a ~12 foot flywheel.
It works fine, but it costs a lot for very little gain.

AFAIK he studied almost exclusively photon radiation (ie light at varying frequencies) which includes x-rays and gamma rays, but not beta or alpha radiation. It doesn't naturally lead into nuclear weapons research, so I'd be surprised.
