Decide to try and find and take over somewhere with fresh enough water supply that people will flock to you, become king, get your own harem, use the fact you've got fresh water and hope it doesn't run out to subjugate other, smaller communities into your kingdom. Build a pretty good network. Sit back, relax and wait for it all to blow over with a pint in the Winchester.
