There's a trend in universities where some feminist professors give assignments or offer extra credit to students to edit Wikipedia articles to add feminist viewpoints to existing articles or to fill out articles on feminism. I've seen articles that have very little to do with feminism or women, but that then have a multiparagraph subsection about "gender" or "women in..." that quote some articles by no-name women's studies professors in a third-rate journals. Sometimes it's even just one source that is quoted repeatedly, so it ends up being a regurgitation of the article. Also there are Wikipedia articles that are very thin on information generally, but inexplicably have a large "feminist perspective" section in the middle of the article.
